    Freelancer Mobile Engineer (Swift/ObjectiveC)

    Who we are looking for

    • We are looking for an innovative and driven Mobile Developer to work on a scaled-out platform that is centered around live streaming and providing VOD to a large audience. An ideal candidate is someone with experience on both the iOS and AppleTV platforms and has a proven track record developing applications for both platforms.

    Responsibilities:

    • Determine the structure and design of mobile and TV apps.
    • Develop the latest user-facing features using Swift and Objective C.
    • Design modern, highly responsive mobile user interfaces.
    • Build reusable components and libraries for future use.
    • Translate designs and wireframes into high-quality code.
    • Strike a balance between functional and aesthetic design.
    • Optimize components for maximum performance across a vast array of devices.
    • Be involved with projects from conception to completion that are technologically sound and aesthetically impressive.

    What you’ll need

    • 6+ years experience in the mobile and/or web development field.
    • Experience with Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles such as inheritance, polymorphism, and encapsulation.
    • Experience with integration of RESTful APIs
    • Proficiency in Swift programming language.

    Familiar with:

    • iOS development tools including Xcode, Interface Builder, and the iOS Simulator.
    • General design patterns.
    • App store signing and release processes.

    Knowledge/understanding of:

    • iOS SDK and frameworks such as UIKit, Foundation, and Core Data.
    • Data persistence such as Core Data or SQLite.
    • Model-View-Controller (MVC) architecture.
    • Asynchronous programming.
    • Source control systems such as Git.
    • Modern authorisation mechanisms, such as JSON Web Token.
    • Project management methodologies, such as Agile, SCRUM and Kanban.
    • Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical

    • Critical thinker and problem-solver who pays attention to detail.
    • Ability to engage, influence, and inspire stakeholders to drive collaboration and alignment.
    • A high degree of organisation, individual initiative, and personal accountability.

    • Excellent time-management skills.

    Bonus points if you have

    • Experience with React Native.
    • Working experience with Firebase sdk’s.
    • Strong knowledge of data structures, system design, and algorithms.

    • Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements.
