    Systems Administrator - Sandton - 1 Year Contract - Own Car Required -

    Job Description
    Key Responsibilities

    • Provide first- and second-line desktop support to internal users, ensuring minimal downtime and effective resolution of issues.
    • Maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot servers, networks, and core IT infrastructure, including Active Directory, virtualization platforms, and storage systems.
    • Configure, manage, and support networking equipment (switches, firewalls, VPNs, routing protocols, VLANs, wireless access).
    • Work alongside Trading Technology team in managing specialized financial systems, including bespoke applications and trading infrastructure.
    • Ensure compliance with IT security, risk, and regulatory standards applicable to financial services.
    • Perform system backups, patching, and disaster recovery testing.
    • Monitor performance of critical systems, escalating issues proactively.
    • Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to implement new solutions and upgrades.
    • Document processes, configurations, and incident resolutions for internal knowledge base.

    Required Skills & Competencies

    • Strong knowledge of Windows desktop and server environments (Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP).
    • Experience with networking concepts (TCP/IP, routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs).
    • Familiarity with virtualisation platforms (Qemu, Hyper-V, or similar).
    • Competence in troubleshooting hardware and software issues across multiple platforms.
    • Understanding of cybersecurity best practices in a financial services environment.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritise in high-pressure situations.
    • Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

    Qualifications & Experience

    • Degree/Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent work experience.
    • 3–5 years of experience in a systems administration or IT support/infrastructure role.
    • Relevant certifications advantageous:
    •  Microsoft (MCSA/MCSE, Azure Administrator)
    • Cisco (CCNA/CCNP)
    • Previous experience in financial services or trading environments highly beneficial.

    Job Description

    • An Account Manager is a business professional whose primary function is to build customer relationships. Account managers have broad responsibilities related to customer service, sales, marketing and public relations. They are the "face" of a company and help bring in new business and retain existing clients and reports to the Executive Manager Sales.

    Roles and responsibilities

    • Meet and exceed sales targets by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, as well as maintaining and growing existing accounts
    • Develop and maintain relationships with key decision-makers within client organizations.
    • Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to prospective clients, and effectively communicate the value of our products and services.
    • Negotiate contracts and close deals with clients, ensuring all terms and conditions are clearly defined and agreed upon.
    • Collaborate with other departments within the company, such as marketing and product development, to ensure alignment and achieve sales goals.
    • Stay up to date on industry trends and developments and use this knowledge to identify new sales opportunities.
    • Maintain accurate records of all sales activities and customer interactions in our CRM system.
    • Attend industry conferences and events to build relationships with prospective clients.
    • Updated Certifications in the field of Microsoft and Zoom or other relevant programs are required.
    • All other tasks reasonably necessary to fulfil the above function, of as an Account Manager, and compliance with all other reasonable instructions given by the employer.
    • Willing to travel, be prepared to perform overtime work
