    Senior Coal Operations Administrator - Midrand

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Coal Quality management- manage the full quality of coal from pits to port. Oversee entire function. Liaise with inspection agencies to ensure accurate, timely reporting and resolve any quality variations
    • Report vessel results (sublots) to coal team and management and proactively resolve any issues as they arise
    • Manage and ensure that the inflow and outflow planning and forecasting report is complied and shared with coal Team
    • Coordinating and ensuring that cargo is delivered on the correct stockpile
    • Manage the appointments of Sampling Analysis Agents to ensure that all the stock is tested for vessels and trucks
    • Maintain the safety permit for the RSR and prepare and submit all required reports as per agreed timelines (Incident Reports, Annual Safety Improvement Plan etc.)
    • Send shipping instructions to the appointed shipping agents
    • Prepare draft documents for each vessel (bill of lading, Certificate of origin, and SGS documents), ensuring that these documents are in line with our contract and/or letter of credit before issuance
    • Provide Port terminals with the loading instruction for the vessels before the vessel arrives
    • Ensure that Port Terminals has sufficient resources for transferring cargo from back of Port Facilities to the port of Richards Bay.
    • Monitor movement of coal by Port Terminals daily and report any deviation
    • Coordinate with Site Ops Manager to ensure that all stakeholders for loading of the vessel is present and aligned
    • Anticipate and problem solve and/or escalate all supply chain issues as and when they arise

    Minimum requirements:

    • A degree in Supply Chain, Business Admin, Finance or related field
    • 2 to 5 years experience in coal inspection agency administration
    • Computer skills in Advanced Microsoft Excel

    Procurement Manager - Midrand

    Key Responsibilities: 

    General:

    • Develop and oversee a continues improvement strategy (Balance Scorecard) for Group Procurement Services
    • Standard procurement process across all group companies
    • Integrate Procurement, Maintenance, Operations and IT processes.
    • Achieve synergies across sites and conduct strategic vendor assessment.
    • Identify spends and provide opportunities for improvement. 

    Sourcing and Supplier Management:

    • Identify and assess potential suppliers for mining materials, equipment, and services.
    • Conduct negotiations to secure favourable terms, pricing, and contractual agreements
    • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure a reliable and efficient supply chain 

    Contract Negotiation and Management:

    • Lead contract negotiations, ensuring terms align with project requirements and industry standards
    • Monitor contract performance and address any deviations or issues in collaboration with legal and operational teams. 

    Cost Optimization:

    • Implement cost-effective procurement strategies to maximize savings while maintaining quality standards
    • Conduct regular market analyses to identify cost-saving opportunities and trends in the mining industry
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for process improvement and cost efficiency 

    Compliance and Regulatory Adherence:

    • Stay abreast of industry regulations and ensure procurement practices comply with relevant mining and environmental standards.
    • Develop and maintain documentation for audits, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements. 

    Risk Management:

    • Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop mitigation plans to minimize disruptions.
    • Monitor geopolitical, economic, and industry-specific factors that may impact procurement and supply chain stability 

    Collaboration with Internal Stakeholders:

    • Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other internal stakeholders to understand project requirements and timelines.
    • Provide procurement expertise and support to ensure the seamless execution of mining operations. 

    Budget Management:

    • Develop and manage procurement budgets in alignment with overall project and organizational financial goals.
    • Track and report on procurement expenditures, providing regular updates to senior management. 

    Continuous Improvement:

    • Implement best practices in procurement processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
    • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging feedback and innovation within the procurement team 

    Minimum requirements:

    • 8+ years relevant experience, preferably 4 years of managerial experience
    • Degree in Supply Chain Management
    • Good understanding of mining charter and BBBEE
    • Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards in the mining sector
    • Familiarity with ERP systems and procurement software

    Internal Auditor - Midrand

    Responsibilities:

    • Conduct comprehensive financial audits of various departments and functions within the organization, including but not limited to mining, manufacturing, and logistics.
    • Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls, compliance procedures, and risk management systems.
    • Identify areas of potential risk, inefficiency, or non-compliance and provide actionable recommendations for improvement.
    • Perform detailed testing and analysis of financial data, transactions, and processes to ensure accuracy and reliability.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement audit plans, strategies, and timelines.
    • Prepare detailed audit reports highlighting findings, recommendations, and corrective actions to be taken by management.
    • Monitor the implementation of recommended actions and follow up to ensure compliance and effectiveness.
    • Stay up to date with industry best practices, regulatory requirements, and emerging trends in internal auditing.
    • Provide guidance and support to junior auditors, as needed.

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
    • Professional certification such as CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor) or CIA (Certified Internal Auditor).
    • Additional certifications such as CIMA (Chartered Institute of Management Accountants) or CPA (Certified Public Accountant) would be highly advantageous.
    • 7 to 10 years of progressive experience in internal auditing, preferably within the mining, manufacturing, and logistics industries.
    • In-depth knowledge of financial and operational auditing principles, practices, and standards.
    • Familiarity with relevant regulations, and IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards).
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to exercise sound judgment and attention to detail.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
    • Proficiency in using auditing software, data analysis tools, and MS Office applications.

    Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

    • Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
    • Experience with auditing large-scale mining, manufacturing, or logistics operations.
    • Willingness to travel to different company sites as required.
    • Knowledge of ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems such as SAP or Oracle.

    Maintenance Technician - Newcastle / Dundee

    Key responsibilities:

    • Performing preventative maintenance tasks to ensure equipment reliability and minimize downtime
    • Troubleshooting equipment malfunctions and mechanical issues to identify root causes and implement effective solutions
    • Inspecting and testing equipment components for wear, damage, or alignment issues, and recommending repairs or replacements as needed

    • Proficiency in reading and interpreting mechanical drawings, blueprints, and equipment manuals.
    • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to diagnose and repair complex mechanical systems
    • Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and lubrication systems commonly used in mineral processing equipment
    • Familiarity with safety regulations and procedures related to working in industrial environments, including lockout/tagout procedures and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements
    • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as collaboratively as part of a maintenance team
    • Physical fitness and stamina to perform tasks that may require lifting, bending, and working in confined spaces
    • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with colleagues and document maintenance activities
    • Willingness to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required by the operational needs of the plant
