    Minimum Requirement

    Senior Lecturer (SL) P7

    • Hold a PhD/Doctorate in History with a minimum of 5 years of relevant research and lecturing experience, along with 5 years of academic management and leadership experience.

    Research:

    • Demonstrate evidence of continuous research productivity in the form of:
    • Publications in DHET accredited journals and peer-reviewed conference proceedings, research papers presented at national and/or international conferences.

    Duties and responsibilities

    Health and wellness

    Manager: Innovation and Technology Transfer (Fixed Term Contract)

    Minimum Requirements 

    • Postgraduate Qualification NQF (8).
    • 5 years working experience, of which at least 2 years should be relevant experience in project management, commercialisation and technology transfer.
    • A Law or BCom degree will be an added advantage.

    Duties and responsibilities

    • Organisation and Planning of the Innovation and Technology Transfer (I&TT) Management Service.
    • Innovation Management.
    • Education and training.
    • Relationship Building and Managing Partnerships.
    • Manage SPUs IP Portfolio and develop commercialisation/licensing strategies. 
    • Stakeholder engagement and liaison (e.g. Private sector, government bodies, university staff and students, etc.
    • Monitoring, Evaluation and Assessment 8. Development of an IP pipeline within SPU’s through active identification of research work that has the potential to lead to IP.

    Senior Administrator: Technology Transfer (Fixed Term Contract)

    Minimum Requirements 

    • BTech/ Bachelor's Degree (NQF 7).
    • 1-2 years’ experience in Administration.

    Duties and responsibilities

    • Support the Intellectual Property Portfolio with all administration.
    • Develop and maintain an IP database.
    • Administer awareness of organisational priorities for technology transfer.
    • Roll out IP awareness campaigns.
    • Communicate and consult with relevant stakeholders.
    • Organise IP workshops and events at Sol Plaatje University.
