    IT Controls Tester

    Key Roles and Responsibilities:

    • Assisting the IT Internal Controls Lead with questions on MICS, SOX, SODs, control policies and Excellence Program in Zone;
    • Assisting with implementation of IT Internal Control in all entities/locations in Zone by liaising with the different functions;
    • Assisting the IT Internal Controls Lead to ensure that the IT processes defined with the control owners are correctly translated for the Zone, embedding the proper IT internal controls;
    • Tracking and monitoring of implementation/compliance progress within the Zone;
    • Engage with control owners to define action plans to close gaps and increase compliance, communicates with all involved functions;
    • Ensure SOX and MICS compliance by interacting with control owners (Solutions, Internal Controls and other departments);
    • Assisting the IT Internal Controls Lead with updating and maintaining of MICS with any changes to risks, controls (including local design), control owners and other control details based on process changes in the Zone, IT Internal Control and any other requirements;
    • Accountable for ensuring that scoping, design and testing is performed adequately as per the defined IT Internal Controls standards including Monthly review of Self assessments, Quarterly assessments; Operational efficiency cycle testing and year end testing.
    • Maintain the assignment of control design and testing and completion of working papers and test results including details of any deficiencies raised;
    • Any deficiencies are communicated and closed as soon as possible by agreeing and implementing sustainable actions in conjunction with management in the different functions;
    • Assisting the IT Internal Control Lead to ensure timely and accurate issuing and reporting of the self-assessments to BU/Zone IC (MICS, Policies) and local management within the different functions;
    • Assisting the IT Internal controls Lead with requests from local External Auditors to ensure alignment on timelines regarding scoping, progress, reporting of results, etc.;
    • Local travel (within Africa) maybe required – estimated at 40% at a maximum

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Bachelors Degree or equivalent is a requirement; and
    • ITIL Foundation or equivalent will be beneficial
    • Between 3 to 4 years relevant  IT Audit experience;
    • Understanding of the principles and application of good corporate governance and IT Internal controls, with specific knowledge of the Zone corporate governance environment;
    • In-depth understanding and hands-on experience of Sarbanes Oxley Act, IT Internal Audit or governance role with focus on IT Controls reporting;
    • Computer literate with a good understanding of the utilisation of Microsoft Office;
    • Exposure to Sarbanes Oxley Act technology tools i.e. SAP GRC would be advantageous;
    • Good understanding control design of audit testing principles; and
    • Good understanding of the SAP environments including IT governance frameworks.

    Inventory Analyst - SAB Bloemfontein Depot

    Key Roles and Responsibilities:

    Finished Goods & Raw Material Quality Management

    • Ensure Compliance Finished Goods and Raw Materials Inventory Quality Fundamental standards
    • Non-Compliance to Quality Standards as per BCA/LSA and MICs Requirements are addressed with the Quality Manager and Team

    Finished Goods & Raw Material Stock Age Management

    • Analyse and Assess Obsolescence Risks with a 3-month view vs Sales and 13-week Pack and Brew Forecasts
    • Engage Stakeholders to mitigate risk

    Inventory Management of Finished Goods, Empties and Raw Materials

    • Reconcile that all GRNs have taken place (E.g. Raw Materials, New Glass and Crates and Market Place)
    • STO In-transit Reports (T1 and T2) are clear of ageing Shipments
    • Virtual Warehouse cleared and only reflects Current Production on both Finished Goods and Empties
    • All Transfers Between Raw Materials Warehouses and Packaging/Brewing Process Areas are reconciled (Transfer Documentation vs ERP)
    • Verification that 3 Point Checks were conducted on all Inbound and Outbound Shipments/Load
    • Daily Reconciliation to ERP of Independent Inventory Counts conducted on all SKUs and Material Codes
    • Inventory Count Differences Identified, Investigated and Reported
    • Inventory Count Differences escalated to Warehouse Controller to develop Commentary, Problem Solving & Action Plans to be reported to BLM/DCLM
    • Post Count Reports and Inventory Pack is signed and reviewed with the BLM Daily

    • Loss Control Point Analysis/Heat Map and reporting of Losses in these areas and ensuring they reflect in the GLs

    Governance and Risk

    • All Documentation signed-off by relevant persons, filed & securely stored as per Inventory Control Policy – E.g. Inventory stock packs, T1 & T2 shipment packs, Gate Register, etc.
    • SCOH Budget vs Actual costs are monitored and reported on to BLM/RLM. Action Plans are put in place with Warehouse Controllers to Resolve and Problem-solving approach is followed
    • Security cameras in key points on site & random verification conducted
    • Ensure implementation and compliance of VPO Excellence Programs
    • Inventory count difference identified, investigated, resolved & reported. Un-resolved inventory count differences escalated to BLM / RLM with commentary & action plans

    SA Logistics Group Account Analyst

    Key outputs and responsibilities:

    Group Account Engagement

    • Manage and communicate social systems with the Group Account commercial department, providing data driven analytics for Monthly, Quarterly and yearly Customer Performance Reviews
    • Negotiating SLA’s, Collaborative Forecasting and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders.

    Lab Technician (Micro) - Newlands Brewery

    Key Roles and Responsibilities:

    • Aseptically Sampling, Handling and Preparation for microbiological analysis​
    • Sterilization of Culture media using techniques like autoclaving and Isolation of Microorganisms​

    Perform Various Micro Techniques:​

    • Colony counts (e.g., pour plating, spread plating).​
    • Microbial identification using biochemical tests, staining techniques (e.g., Gram stain), and microscopy.​
    • Molecular techniques (e.g., PCR) if trained and required.​
    • Operate and calibrate specialized lab equipment, including microscopes, incubators, autoclaves, centrifuges, and other analytical instruments.​

    Quality Control and Assurance:​​

    • Maintain detailed and organized records, ensuring traceability and regulatory compliance.​​
    • Analyze and interpret data from tests, including reading plates for bacterial counts and evaluating microbial growth.​​
    • Assist with report writing and presentations as needed.​​
    • Monitor and maintain an adequate inventory of reagents, media, supplies, and consumables.​​
    • Maintain a clean, organized, and sterile laboratory environment including waste management of biohazardous substances etc.​​
    • Participate in the development and optimization of microbiological methods and procedures.​

    Communication: 

    • Actively participate in shift meetings, asking questions to test understanding and contributing suggestions. Making use of the action logs to record issues, problems and improvement opportunities ​
    • Make use of relevant communication media to stay informed and inform others of issues​
    • Utilizing VPO digital tools to improve understanding of process and standards​
    • Required to escalate out-of-control processes to all Stakeholders​
    • Complete required hand over to incoming shift team members, ensuring the issues relating to plant performance, quality and maintenance are communicated ​

    Problem-Solving:

    • Ensure Problem solving for all out-of-control processes using the VPO problem solving tools to resolve and record the issues​

    BSC Reporting Specialist

    Key Roles and Responsibilities:

    • As a squad member, this role is responsible for collaboration and embracing the change of agile ways of work, ensuring team accountability and shared responsibility.

    Key Roles and Responsibilities:

    Promote Beer Brewing Quality Excellence in the Value Chain:

    Minimum Requirements:

    • BSc Degree in Biological Sciences, Chemistry or Chemical Engineering
    • Completed brewing traineeship 
    • IBD Papers 1,2&3 completed and passed
    • At least 2 years production experience, of which 1 years’ operating at a management level within Brewing
    • Demonstrated experience in driving commercial decisions in a brewery (financial, operational, people) and brewing technical expertise
    • A good performance track record indicating a disciplined work ethic with passion at maintaining quality
    • Master Brewer IBD qualification obtained - Studying towards MB Qualification
    • SAP modules: White belt certification would be highly advantageous
