    Administrator HR Support - Richards Bay

    ABOUT THE ROLE:

    This role is a permanent full-time position.

    As an Administrator HR Support, you will be the primary contact for employees and Line Leaders by handling customer inquiries and cases related to employee movements, position changes, payroll, benefits, HR policies, processes and systems. Ensure South32 payroll and statutory reports quality by processing employees’ data timely and accurately in accordance with the standard processes, frameworks and local legislation.

    Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:

    • Ensure alignment to internal controls, standards and procedures.
    • Single interface for Line Leaders, employees and contractors to request HR administration support and HR enquiries.
    • Provides professional, tactful and discrete communications when handling sensitive and/or confidential information.
    • Develop supportive relationships with others in the HR Function and Line Leaders.
    • Demonstrate and promote operational discipline when executing day-to-day activities.
    • Ensure all queries and data management requirements are managed on time, accurately and within defined service level definitions.

    ABOUT YOU:

    • You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:
    • 2-3 years minimum relevant professional experience in a similar role with knowledge of HR administration/payroll and employee master data administration.
    • Demonstrated knowledge in South African payroll statutory and legislative requirements for the position based on HR Services South Africa.
    • Understanding / exposure to HR practices, processes, disciplines and systems.

    Specialist Purchasing - Richards Bay

    ABOUT THE ROLE:

    This role is a permanent full-time position.

    As a Specialist Purchasing you will be responsible to provide specialist advice and execute major and minor capital purchasing and contracting services; ensuring effective resource utilization; meeting operational capital procurement and sourcing procurement needs, in a timely and effective manner, adhering to defined policies and procedures.

    Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:

    • Ensure capital procurement and sourcing needs are met in a timely and effective manner in accordance with South32 policies, procedures and statutory requirements;
    • Create and maintain accurate Request for Quotations (RFQs) ensuring timely responses from vendors;
    • Negotiate pricing to ensure value for money paid taking a “total cost of ownership” approach;
    • Where required, draft commercial contracts for the procurement of capital goods and services;
    • Convert approved material Purchase Requisitions manually into POs;
    • Ensure all purchase order adjustments are carried out in accordance with South32 Supply processes and procedures and immediately report all non-compliant transactions to the Lead Purchasing for appropriate follow-up  action;
    • Continually seek opportunities to improve the overall efficiency of the Purchasing sub-function.

    ABOUT YOU:

    You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:

    • Relevant professional experience in Purchasing or Sourcing or Engineering Project Management or Finance is essential;
    • 3 years and more experience in Purchasing or Sourcing or Engineering Projects or Finance is essential;
    • Understanding of financial and business concepts to analyse and maximize commercial outcomes will be essential;
    • Procure to pay understanding is advantageous;
    • Knowledge of SAP Materials Management is advantageous;
    • Mining & Metals experience will be advantageous;
    • Experience in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment will be advantageous.

    Qualifications for this role are:

    •  Degree/BTech/National Diploma (3 years) in Supply Chain, Logistics, Finance, Engineering, Law or Commerce

    Controller Maintenance MN - Richards Bay

    ABOUT THE ROLE:

    This role is Permanent position.

    As a Maintenance Controller, you will be responsible to develop and communicate the plans and schedules for an Operation / Operation area in accordance with the SAP Work Management processes.

    Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:

    • Facilitate the weekly prioritisation and the resource levelling meetings to ensure alignment of all work management activities to production or other operational plans;
    • Create and plan SAP work orders that enable effective deployment of work management resources, including personnel, service providers and materials;
    • Develop and communicate accurate weekly work schedules reflecting all work management activities within budget for cost and vendor targets, ensuring that they are adequately resource levelled and aligned to the corresponding 12-week planning window;
    • Execute the planning and scheduling functions and requirements for Shared Resource Work teams, internal and external;
    • Assist Supervisor Maintenance with the re-scheduling of planned maintenance activities; cost and vendor number forecast and feedback;
    • Review and analyse work management metrics to ensure compliance to the SAP processes. And tracking of high-risk activity for safe execution.

    ABOUT YOU:

    You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:

    • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in heavy industry;
    • Working experience on SAP is essential;
    • Experience in work management is advantageous;
    • Working experience on MS Projects is advantageous.

    Qualifications for this role are:

    •  N6 National Technical Diploma with a valid Trade Test.

    Superintendent Analysis &Improvement - Richards Bay

    ABOUT THE ROLE:

    This role is a permanent full-time position.

    • As a Superintendent Analysis and Improvement, you will be responsible to  ensure compliance with the Maintenance programme for the defined operational area. Ensures effective maintenance management and continuous improvement in a safe and sustainable manner.  Implementation of improvement initiatives that enables functional excellence and support business priorities. Be flexible and prepared to perform standby duties.

    Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:

    • Develop, lead and supervise a team of Analysis & Improvement Engineers that are deployed to efficiently achieve the Hillside Aluminium Strategy (Business Plan);
    • Monitor statutory/legislative compliance of relevant equipment to standards as defined in OHSA;
    • Plan strategically and deliver input into the long term strategic equipment plans by close collaboration with the Engineering department;
    • Analyse equipment performance and failures against technical capability and develop improvement plans and strategies;
    • Effectively deliver scope of works as prioritized in the annual maintenance sourcing plan.
    • Manage and co-ordinate the 3 year maintenance budget with all the sections.

    ABOUT YOU:

    You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:

    • Must have a minimum 5 years’ experience in Analysis & Improvement field;
    • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a supervisory/leadership capacity is essential;
    • In depth understanding of Risk Management principles is essential;
    • Knowledge of SAP is essential.

    Qualifications for this role are:

    • Degree/BTECH/ National Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering.
