    Assistant Director: Budget Monitoring and Reporting, Ref No. DSD 07/2024

    Job Purpose    
    The Department of Social Development, Western Cape Government has an opportunity for a qualified individual to coordinate, review and implement the management accounting systems and procedures. This post is stationed in Cape Town, CBD.

    Minimum Requirements    

    • An appropriate 3-year National Diploma/B-Degree (equivalent or higher qualification); A minimum of 3 years relevant supervisory level experience. 

    Key Performance Areas    

    • Planning: Coordinate, review, analyse and quality assure the financial supporting information for planning purposes;
    • Budgeting: Coordinate, review, analyse and quality assure the budget preperation process;
    • Reporting: Coordinate, review and analyse and quality assure the management accounting reporting processes;
    • Manage the operational processes, resources and procedures associated with the management accounting functions.

    Supply Chain Management Clerk: Asset Management, Ref No. DOTP 01/2024

    Job Purpose    

    • The Department of the Premier, Western Cape Government has an opportunity for a competent individual to attend to all administrative and physical tasks in maintaining credible asset register. This post is based in Cape Town.

    Minimum Requirements    

    • Grade 12 (Senior Certificate or equivalent qualification).

    Recommendation    

    • Relevant experience in an asset management; warehouse management; inventory management environment. A valid Code B (or higher) driving licence. Note: People with disabilities that restrict driving abilities but have reasonable access to transport may also apply.

    Key Performance Areas    

    • Assist with asset disposal; Barcoding of Assets;
    • Perform physical asset verifications;
    • Attend to asset movements;
    • Updating of the asset register; Arrange meetings; Provide support to line function (Customer Care). 

    Competencies    

    • Knowledge of the following:
    • Public Finance Management Act (PFMA);

    Labour Relations Officer: Misconduct, Disputes and Grievances, Ref No. DOTP 13/2023

    Job Purpose    
    The Department of the Premier, Western Cape Government has an opportunity for a competent individual to handle all employee relations matters regarding misconduct, disputes, and grievances, including but not limited to conducting investigations, drafting submissions, rendering advice and representing the employer in various fora. This post is based in Cape Town, CBD.

    Minimum Requirements    

    • An appropriate 3-year National Diploma/B-Degree (equivalent or higher qualification) in Labour Relations, Human Resource Management, Law or related field of study; A minimum of 1-year experience in Labour Relations; A valid (Code B or higher) driving licence.

    Key Performance Areas    

    • Handle the following: Misconduct matters; Grievances matters; Disputes; Render advice on misconduct and grievance matters; Implement measures in order prevent labour unrest; Render a support service and represent the employer in dispute matters; Conduct investigations (misconduct, grievances and disputes); Draft submissions for mandates and represent the employer in disciplinary hearings.

    Competencies

    Job Purpose    

    • Western Cape Mobility Department has employment opportunities for two (2) suitably qualified and competent individuals to render and maintain effective and efficient Revenue and Expenditure Control services to the Western Cape Mobility Department. Skills needed: Numeracy; Literacy; Computer Literacy; Language skills; Project Management;  Accounting, Finance and Audit; Economic, Financial and Statistical Analysis; Legal Administration.
