    Social Work Policy Developer: Services to families, Ref No. DSD 133/2023

    Job Purpose    

    • The Department of Social Development, Western Cape Government has an employment opportunity for a suitably qualified and competent Social Work Policy Developer to develop, implement and maintain social work policies. This post is based in Cape Town, CBD.

    Minimum Requirements    

    • Formal Tertiary Qualification in Social Work (e.g. Bachelor of Social Work) that allows professional registration with the South African Council for Social Service Professions; Compulsory registration with SACSSP as a Social Worker; A minimum of 8 years appropriate experience in social work after registration as Social Worker with the SACSSP; A valid (Code B or higher) driving licence.

    Engineering Technician (Production Level): Materials Laboratory, Ref No. DOI 141/2023

    Job Purpose    

    • The Department of Infrastructure, Western Cape Government has an opportunity for a qualified individual to provide technical services and support in engineering research, design, manufacturing, operations and maintenance. This post is stationed in Cape Town, CBD.

    Minimum Requirements    

    • An appropriate 3-year National Diploma in Engineering or relevant qualification; Compulsory registration with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) as an Engineering Technician Or have submitted with ECSA for Professional registration as a Engineering Technician. (Proof of payment to be submitted with application) and compulsory registration with ECSA as an Engineering Technician will then be applicable within 6 months from appointment ; A minimum of 3 years relevant post qualification technical (engineering) experience.     Minimum Requirements
