    Executive Assistant Strategy and Performance

    Job Description    
    The purpose of this role is to support the Strategy and Performance Director to drive foresight, scan the external environment for megatrends and distil into themes to help CCBSA identify and quantify emerging risk and opportunities. The role will partner with Analytics & Insights teams across CCBSA to prioritise growth vectors and propose initiatives to future proof the business, and input into stretch targets and long-term ambitions to win in the market.

    Key Duties & Responsibilities    
    Strategy Formulation

    • Analyse and synthesize external data on geo-political and socio-economic development trends across CCBSA to develop hypotheses regarding the opportunity across our markets against each existing or potential category
    • Assess current strategy to determine its effectiveness relative to the fast changing environment in South Africa
    • Create and evaluate strategic options in order to accelerate business growth and productivity improvements
    • Determine financial attractiveness of new growth areas by utilizing value chain and P&L analyses in order to prioritize allocation of resources to these opportunities
    • Develop multi-year business scenarios to establish a planning foundation to assist senior-level management in quantifying the financial impact of business decisions
    • Recommend and approve business strategy changes to key decision-makers to ensure business meets its desired objectives, aligned to the Strategy and Performance Director’s mandate.
    • Identify key business opportunities within CCBSA, articulate the business case and develop relevant solutions to solve complex problems across the organisation
    • Build value based and strategic “win-win” relationships with key stakeholders at all levels Understand business environments and trends
    • Lead research and develop insights, both quantitative and qualitative
    • Evaluate and define competitive landscape for new and existing competitors
    • Support the compilation of insights in charts / reports / presentations and other outputs to communicate findings to key stakeholders

    • Support the development of long-range business targets for CCBSA that are comprehensive, realistic and aligned with broader business plans
    • Participate in operating meetings to gain an understanding of the operating environment and business needs
    • Work in collaboration with business functions on stretch targets to deliver the optimal productivity levels.
    • Consult with and influence senior management at various levels in and across a wide variety of functions. Specifically leading business planning process and strategy development, macro level situation and environmental assessment, developing new market and consumer frame-works, suggesting business change and challenge status quo thinking.
    • Develop and maintain partnerships with internal senior management stakeholders in order to influence business decision-making
    • Support the development of business cases in order to secure resource commitments (e.g., budget, personnel and business systems) from Senior Management that will enable execution of initiatives Design strategic interventions and define associated projects to deliver against objectives
    • Steward the interest of CCBSA by ensuring that projects/programs are economically profitable, strategically sound, administratively feasible and legally correct
    • Drive key strategic initiatives focused on delivering winning metrics (volume, share, profit, quality, etc.)
    • Drive thought leadership on strategic initiatives: Problem identification, work stream structuring, analysis, syndication and solution framing and identification

    Skills, Experience & Education    

    • Minimum requirement for a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Marketing or industrial Engineering. MBA or relevant post graduate studies are preferred.
    • Experience 5-10 years’ relevant experience in: Management consulting experience – corporate and top-rated management consulting firms
    • Strong problem solving and analytical skills; and must have an entrepreneurial mindset / creative/ innovative and a self-starter.

    Financial Planner Manufacturing & Value Chain

    Key Purpose 

    To drive the implementation of effective cost management processes and procedures to ensure optimal financial performance and revenue management by CCBSA Manufacturing and Technical business leaders, enabled by analytical insights and financial reporting.

    Key Duties & Responsibilities    
    Cost Management and Reporting

    • Review head office manufacturing cost centres relating to fixed costs for Manufacturing and Technical head office in order to ensure accurate cost allocation and reporting.

    Direct Tax Specialist

    Key Duties & Responsibilities    

    • Assist Tax Accountant with the compilation and submission of all Corporate Tax Returns (ITR14’s and IRP6’s) on e-filing for all active and dormant companies together with supporting documentation;
    • Assist Tax Accountant with the compilation of tax computations including CFC calculations;
    • Compile Capital Gains Tax (CGT) calculations
    • Assist the Tax Accountant with compilation of Deferred Tax calculations and proofs in respect of fixed assets;
    • Monitor all tax assessments and assist Tax Accountant to raise notice of objections where applicable;
    • Manage SARS accounts and build strong relationships with SARS to resolve issues (including quarterly review of “Direct Tax” tax type accounts on e-filing;
    • Assist Tax Accountant with quarterly review of selected TaxPacc tax schedules and raise and resolve all necessary queries with functions and regions;
    • Collate all supporting documents for projects to support tax deductions and maintain all defense file notes;
    • Apply for SARS tax clearance certificates;
    • Compile and complete monthly Dividends Withholding Tax forms and collation of supporting documents for all companies managed by tax;
    • Compile and complete all royalty withholding tax forms and collation of supporting documents (should this become a requirement);
    • Assist Tax Accountant with the preparation of ruling applications and any other correspondence to SARS;
    • Manage TaxPacc users to ensure that all users are fully trained i.e., coordinate training and ensure that all internal access forms are completed and maintained on file;
    • Assist Tax Accountant  with the update of all Genpact TaxPacc training materials as and when legislation changes,
    • Ensure all Users are updated and trained on new changes;
    • Log, under supervision of Tax Accountant, and follow-up on resolution of all TaxPacc system queries and maintain good working relationship with the relevant service provider;
    • Direct liaison with Compliance/Internal Audit for TaxPacc testing;
    • Maintain E-filing profile for all subsidiaries managed by   Group Tax;
    • Maintain and manage a coordinated filing system for the full compliance function;
    • Support Tax Accountant with internal audits relating to the direct tax function;
    • Maintain and improve direct tax processes as and when internal business controls are changed;
    • Co-ordinate, collate and manage the delivery of tax reporting;
    • Prepare the Quarterly tax accounting reporting and relevant  commentary;

    • Assist Genpact in queries raised related to PSP’s, Independent Contractors and Labour Brokers and associated tax affidavits;
    • Update all related Income Tax Standard Operating Procedure’s with Genpact; and
    • Ad hoc participation in monthly conference calls with Genpact tax team and provide feedback on deliverables to  Group Tax Manager in conjunction with Tax Accountant.

    Drive the deployment of the CCBSA Asset Management Strategy in the Plant

    • Provide technical leadership and support to plant Packaging Engineering teams
