    Assistant Stock Accountant

    Job Description    

    • At Novus Print, we value the expertise and dedication of our team members.
    • We are currently seeking an Assistant Stock Accountant to join our dynamic team.
    • As a leading printing company, we are committed to excellence in everything we do, from delivering top-notch printing solutions to fostering a supportive and collaborative work environment.
    • The position reports directly to the Senior Stock Accountant.

    Key Duties and Responsibilities    

    • Place local and imported paper orders and coordinate all communication of shipments from origin to final destination.
    • Clear imported shipments.
    • Verify all paper receipts and process accurately in financial systems on a daily basis.
    • Inter-Company transactions.
    • Ensure satisfaction to internal and external customers/suppliers through the offering of quality services.
    • Daily/Month-end/Ad-hoc reporting/procedures.
    • Electronically file and keep records of all processed transactions and reports for auditing and enquiry purposes.
    • Update financial systems and reporting tools (Excel).
    • Keep up with ever changing Government Policies and Tariffs on Accounting Standards.
    • Continuously explore ways of improved reporting.

    Educational Requirements    

    • Grade 12 with mathematics and accounting is a prerequisite.
    • A financial certificate/diploma would be advantageous.

    Experience Requirements    

    • 2-3 Years inventory control experience in a manufacturing environment.
    • Imports and Export experience.
    • Foreign Exchange experience.

    Skills and Competencies    

    • Timeously and Accurate reporting.
    • Basic Accounting practices.
    • Basic shipping documentation & Incoterms.
    • Detailed, well-organised and able to work independently to meet deadlines.
    • Computer proficiency in MS office (advanced Excel) and e-mail communication.
    • Organised and able to work under pressure and time constraints.
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively.

    Sales Representative - Labels & Paper Bags

    Job Description    

    • Novus Labels is looking to appoint a dynamic and customer-focused Sales Representative to drive growth across our large volume paper bags and labels product line - particularly wet glue and wrap around labels.
    • This role involes identifying new business opportunities, building strong client relationships, and maintaining partnerships with our existing customer base.

    Key Duties and Responsibilities    
    Responsibilities include, but not limited to the following:

    • Achieve sales budget for the product categories.
    • Actively source new clients, building new client relationships

    • Preparing weekly and monthly sales reports
    • Close deals and oversee the execution of the contracts
    • Display an understanding of the sales process and ensure its implementation

    Educational Requirements

    Experience Requirements    

    • At least five years field sales experience 
    • Previous work experience within the labels and packaging industry is essential. Wet glue and wrap around label experience would be high advantageous
    • Driver's lisence and own reliable vehicle

    Guillotine Operator

    Job Description    

    • Novus Print: Montague Gardens is currently seeking to appoint an individual with knowledge and experience in an FMCG printing environment to take on the role of a Guillotine Operator in the Sheetfed department.
    • The successful candidate will report to the Press Shift Leader.

    Key Duties and Responsibilities    

    • Read work orders to determine setup specifications and instructions
    • Operate the guillotine machine following the correct standard operating procedures
    • Set up and operate machines that perform trimming on printing jobs
    • Check that quantities and size of the job are as required during the guillotine operations
    • Install and adjust machines devices i.e knives.
    • To cut and trim reams of paper and trim printed material to given size for further processing
    • Observe and monitor machine operations to detect malfunctions and/or adjustments
    • Ensure quality control checklists are completed and kept up to date
    • Meet specific job specifications and quality standards
    • Maintain daily production records
    • Basic preventative maintenance
    • Maintain general health and safety standards in the production environment
    • Adhoc general assistance on all machines
    • Adhering to all health and safety requirements

    Educational Requirements    

    • Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent 
    • Guillotine Certification will be advantageous 

    Experience Requirements    

    • 1 - 2 years Guillotine working experience
