    (1597) Senior Internal Auditor x2 - IAD

    The successful candidate will be responsible for the following key performance areas:

    Review the work of internal auditors by providing necessary on-the-job coaching and training as needed. 

    • Contribute to the development and maintenance of policies, procedures, checklists, models, frameworks and templates governing internal auditing within the SARB. 
    • Stay abreast of and apply current work methods, analytical techniques and protocols relevant to audit work. 
    • Conduct research and compile clear and reliable preplanning working papers that reflect research outcomes as part of the process understanding. 
    • Define the scope and objectives of audit assignments. 
    • Perform engagement risk assessments, walkthroughs and adequacy assessments using research and analytical tools.

    The successful candidate will be responsible for the following key performance areas:

    • Provide strategic input and senior leadership in advancing the strategic objectives of the regional engagements’ unit.
    • Lead and facilitate the coordination of research papers on specific topics affecting central banks in the region.

    The successful candidate will be responsible for the following key performance areas:

    •  Engage in short term planning and perform tasks independently in accordance with set standards and  procedures. 
    • Perform fault finding for electronic systems by applying set or modified techniques within a defined context.

    The successful candidate will be responsible for the following key performance areas:

    • Participate in supervisory activities related to operational risk in regulated entities, including reviewing their risk appetite and management of operational risk.
    • Ensure regulated entities comply with operational risk regulations.
    • Support other risk divisions, including the IT Risk, Credit Risk and Market Risk teams in supervisory tasks related to operational risk.
