Functional expect on current and future infrastructure technologies in line with the Group. The Team Lead responsible for leading the technical team and alignment of the technical direction for MSA.

Job Specific Experience

• Matric
• Diploma/ Degree in Information Technology OR
• Relevant years of experience in similar IM Infrastructure role
• Driver license- travelling required
• Experience within the Pulp & Paper industry will be beneficial
• Recognition for prior learning will be considered/given

Qualifications & Expertise

• 5 – 10 years’ experience in IT and IT Infrastructure in a specialist, supervisor or senior role with specific reference to the related leadership competencies
• IM infrastructure technical background
• At least 3 Infrastructure certifications

Functional Outputs

• Overall IM Technical expert/specialist/team lead responsible and alignment of the technical direction for MSA (focus on all technical aspects of IT Infrastructure)
• Maintaining a productive working environment for infrastructure team
• Acquiring appropriate budget for development to support business goals
• Representing the technology perspective on a Team Lead Level (accountable for the quality of the technical deliverables for the technical team)
• Establishing and/or co-ordinating programmes of work
• Research new technologies in IT/OT to introduce into Mondi SA
• Manage large software/hardware/network/infrastructure deployment projects including servers and Operating systems
• Manage IM infrastructure outsourced partners
• Infrastructure support and changes
• Infrastructure continuous improvement
• Infrastructure configuring; monitoring; alerting; reporting; and support
• Lifecycle replacement of assets
• Secure infrastructure security and business continuity
• Infrastructure project management
• Purchasing in this area of expertise
• Set IM Technical SLAs (internal and vendors)
• Audit and governance requirements
• Responsible for documentation including infrastructure diagrams
• Adhere to Mondi standards, policies and procedures
• Ensure backup and recovery systems and procedures are policies are well defined including disaster recovery planning and testing
• Ensure Network and system uptime against SLAs
