Job Description:
In this role, you will manage and drive team performance, ensure delivery on key tasks and mitigate risks by ensuring strict controls are in embedded.
Your daily activities require strong leadership, application of accounting principles, analysis of financial information, preparation of reports, ownership of processes and management of a team comprising 20+ team members.
You will be responsible for the delivery of high quality, accurate and timely accounts receivables activities, that meet the process requirements as well as expectations of multiple stakeholders across different business units.
In addition, you will establish and maintain solid business partner relationships with the key stakeholders to facilitate the optimal functioning or your team, adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs), managing of escalations and presentation or performance metrics to multiple audiences.
This role is at a Band 6 level reporting to the EMEA Transactional Finance Services Manager.
Qualifications:
You will need the following:
A degree specialising in Accounting or Management or at least 15 years relevant management experience
Experience:
Min 10 years solid accounts receivable experience
Min 5 years experience managing a team of at least 20 staff
Demonstrated leadership in coaching, mentoring leading, and motivating teams
Experienced in IFRS/SOX/JSE Attestation
At least 5 years experience on SAP ERP system
Highly proficient in Microsoft Office with Advanced Excel
Excellent communication, analytical and problem-solving abilities with a focus on detail
Medium to large corporate experience, with Global exposure preferably in a Shared Services environment

Job Description:
The Employee Engagement Specialist will be responsible to deliver agreed communication and engagement plans, campaigns, and initiatives to support Platinum’s Corporate Affairs and Sustainable Impact programmes, as well as deliver high-quality targeted content to increase awareness and understanding of our Purpose, our Strategy, Burning Ambition and Platinum performance.
Key responsibilities:
Consistently apply Safety & Health principles in all team interactions and take personal responsibility for safety of self and others to ensure zero harm and elimination of fatalities
Contribute to the development and delivering of strategic internal communication plans that support Platinum’s employee engagement objectives
Develop and deliver agreed communication and engagement campaigns and initiatives across Platinum to support CR&SI programmes such as Sustainable Mining Plan, Social Way and Ambassadors for Good. This involves detailed stakeholder mapping, identifying and clarifying required outcomes, the development of compelling messaging, collateral, and measuring techniques
Develop and deliver high quality targeted content including news stories, features, interviews – to increase awareness and understanding of our Purpose, our Strategy, Burning Ambition and Platinum performance
Campaign management and Projects
Lead the Ambassadors for Good communication and engagement programme in Platinum in support of Group Corporate Relations
Utilize Eureka!, the Engage app and other channels to support the delivery of Platinum-wide initiatives and ensure that all content for such projects is up to date; writing and publishing new content; facilitating knowledge sharing and collaboration
Promote an organisational culture of clear and effective communication, including among the leadership cohort.
Build relationships with Functional communication representatives, aligning activity where appropriate
Ensure compliance of the discipline with Anglo American compliance requirements
Identify gaps in policy & system design, implementation or execution that are negatively impacting on your team or their performance and initiate action to address these issues, considering the impact on suppliers and customers. For policies & systems within your authority, make the required changes. For others, escalate these issues to seek action and / or look for alternative solutions
This position is in the Corporate Affairs department at a Band 6 level reporting into the Employee Engagement Manager.
Qualifications:
Communications or Journalism Degree, or another relevant qualification
Experience required:
At least three to five years’ communications work experience
Previous experience in supporting internal and change communications in a large, diverse organisation Work experience in the mining industry added advantage
Additional South African languages an advantage
Proven Project Management ability
Understand communications issues and their impact on employee engagement, strategic positioning, brand, and marketing
Delivering the creation, implementation and embedding of a project ensuring adoption and sustainability
Driving consistent communication messages across the business, ensuing alignment and approvals are in place

Job Description:
As an Impact Monitoring & Evaluation Specialist some of your duties will include:
Provide pre-and post-programme support for all livelihood programmes (baselines, metrics)
Monitor and evaluate the impact of livelihood programmes and submit monthly reports to the Livelihoods programme management committee
Accurately account for all jobs created and supported across the Company’s full livelihoods programme
Score and rank programmes to advise on their social return on investment and social progress index
Track and assess actual performance vs. forecast
Facilitate timely and accurate impact and performance reporting encompassing all Livelihood programmes in line with sustainability standards, sustainable mining plan guidelines and KPIs
Ensure that the discipline specific systems, symbols and behaviors reinforce desired culture and align with Anglo American values
Support delivery of the relevant sustainability activities on a Business Unit level
Qualifications:
Post graduate Degree in Development Economics, Econometrics or Statistics
PhD advantageous
Your experience will include:
Minimum 10 years’ experience in monitoring, evaluation, and impact assessment and in project management and partnership roles
Experience conducting econometric analysis as part of rigorous impact evaluation of livelihoods strategies, programs, and interventions
Experience conducting econometric analysis with a focus on experimental or quasi-experimental approaches
Superior knowledge of best practices and current trends in large project portfolio management, monitoring and evaluation
Must have experience in facilitating multi-stakeholder engagement sessions
Project management background and experience
Advanced management of work packages across a portfolio of project activities
Advanced communication skills and strong stakeholder management skills
Proficient in stakeholder engagement and ability to win the support and confidence of stakeholders and beneficiaries
Proficiency in statistical and BI Reporting Packages
Advanced MS Office suite

Qualifications:
Relevant Bachelor’s Degree in natural sciences (built environment)
Formal Project Management qualification
Your experience will include:
7 years related experience in the mining or related project environment
Construction management experience will be advantageous
Contractor management experience
Proficient in designing and managing social improvement projects and must have proficiency in compiling social profiles, social impact assessments
Extensive experience in interfacing and influencing colleagues and Senior Management
Advanced Knowledge of government socio-economic development plans
Proficient in conflict resolution
Must have advanced MS office suite
