Main Accountabilities

• Creating operational excellence through adherence to procedure and communication excellence.
• Execution of inspection processes at high level of efficiency and accuracy
• To plan, organize, co-ordinate and oversee the sampling, sample preparation operations and to maintain quality execution throughout the entire process whilst working within the framework of Cotecna’s Quality system, HSE procedures and Compliance Codes.
• Ensure continuous throughput in sampling and preparation operations in order to achieve set targets.
• Prioritising workload with hands on approach ensuring that client’s expectations is being met.
• Take overall responsibility for timely and correct reporting of results to clients, both internal & external.
• The incumbent will be expected to work shifts and weekends.

Qualifications, Experience and Technical Skills

• ​A post school applicable degree or diploma
• Minimum of Grade 12, with Mathematics as major
• Computer literacy.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in Minerals operational site environment

Main Accountabilities

• ​Coordination and managing of inspection processes whilst ensuring that this is performed at a high level of efficiency and accuracy at all Cotecna sites in the Northern Cape.
• Control and interpretation of Mission Orders for every appointment received.
• To plan, organize, co-ordinate and oversee the technical operations related to inspections throughout the region, whilst working within the framework of Cotecna’s Quality system, HSE procedures and Compliance Codes.
• Coordinate and manage daily throughput at all Cotecna sites in the Northern Cape in order to achieve set targets. This involves adherence to Quality Assurance checks, staff, shift and consumable planning, coordination of work priorities and ensuring equipment maintenance.
• Accurate & efficient management of data capturing, reporting and electronic communication internally and externally.
• Apply International Standards (ISO) in establishment of sampling and ongoing quality control procedures.
• Take overall responsibility for timely and correct reporting of results to clients, both internal & external.

Qualifications, Experience and Technical Skills

• ​Minimum of Grade 12, with Mathematics pass
• An Appropriate post school Qualification will be an added advantage
• Computer literacy.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Excellent communications skills, verbal and written
• Minimum of 5 years in operational management role within Minerals sector
