    New Business Development Manager (Gauteng)

    Description

    Business Development 

    • Identifying new markets and business opportunities aligned with company growth objectives.
    • Expanding the client database and tracking new client onboarding success.
    • Engaging with production companies, independent filmmakers, and potential clients to understand their needs.
    • Generating leads by meeting with local filmmakers working on features and commercial projects.
    • Preparing and presenting tailored proposals to clients to secure new contracts.
    • Participating in local film festivals and industry events to ensure brand visibility and establish new connections

    Client Relationship Management

    • Fostering and maintaining strong relationships with new and existing clients to promote loyalty and repeat business.
    • Acting as the escalation point for client concerns, ensuring prompt and satisfactory resolution.
    • Working closely with the Rentals and Operations teams to deliver seamless service to clients.

    Strategic Planning & Reporting 

    • Analysing market trends and competitor activity to inform strategic decisions.
    • Developing quarterly business development plans and tracking progress against targets.
    • Compiling and presenting reports to the Managing Director on business development activities and outcomes.

    Team Collaboration 

    • Collaborating with the Manager: Sales to ensure alignment between sales and business development strategies.
    • Partnering with Rentals, Finance, and Operations departments to ensure client requirements are met.
    • Providing insights and feedback to improve internal processes and client offerings.
    • Participating in company initiatives aimed at enhancing client experiences.

    Stakeholder Relationships

    • Building, supporting and maintaining interpersonal and team relationships to ensure stable working environment and achievement of team objectives.
    • Effective and efficient management of teams.

    Requirements

    Qualifications

    • National Senior Certificate - Essential 
    • Diploma - Film / Business Development - Recommended 

    Experience

    • Business Development / Account Management - 2 - 3 year - Essential

    Rentals Supervisor

    Description

    Quoting, Invoicing & Rentals Coordination 

    • Overseeing the preparation of accurate quotes and invoices, ensuring compliance with pricing policies.
    • Verifying and approving rental agreements before submission.
    • Monitoring and managing bookings to avoid stock shortages or overbookings.
    • Ensuring timely processing of missing/damaged equipment charges.
    • Following up on leads from prospective clients.
    • Meeting with local and international filmmakers and reporting back to Management and/or Manager: Operations.
    • Ensuring all allocations are completed timeously.
    • Planning for gear shortages.
    • Responding to relevant client correspondence (emails and phone calls) timeously.
    • Liaising with Production, crew and the operational floor staff to eliminate delays and unplanned changes.
    • Communicating high demand gear to Manager: Operations, based on client feedback.

    Client Liaison 

    • Acting as the escalation point for rental-related client concerns.
    • Ensuring prompt responses to inquiries and smooth resolution of service-related issues.
    • Maintaining strong client relationships through proactive engagement and consistent service delivery.
    • Conducting site visits and liaising with key production stakeholders.

    Team Supervision & Workflow Management

    • Supervising and supporting the Rentals team, ensuring adherence to procedures and client requirements.
    • Allocating tasks, monitoring performance, and providing coaching as needed.
    • Ensuring seamless communication between the rentals team and operations.
