The Opportunity:
Old Mutual Finance is currently seeking to hire a Tester. This is a nationally based role that forms part of the Old Mutual Finance Information Technology Team
In This Role, You will Get To:
Design test cases and perform testing of applications
Identify, document and track bugs
Perform regression testing when bugs are resolved
Understanding of UI and backend testing
Perform initial analysis for technical issues and work closely with developers to reproduce and solve problems
Work within an Agile environment
IT Service Delivery
Completes Test Strategy and have a high level understanding of all projects.
Manages testing, including achievement of milestones and deliverables.
Provides quality control and improvement of processes and outputs.
Undertakes operational and technical aspects of processing information, data evaluation and analysis.
Reporting
Manages effective communication with all stakeholders.
Monitors progress and provide regular project reports to Test Manager.
Risk Management
Identifies impending risks that may compromise achievement of deliverables and initiates steps to mitigate risk.
Stakeholder Management
Builds and maintains relationships with relevant internal/external stakeholders.
Understands the requirements and where applicable, liaise, communicates and provides assistance.
Team Effectiveness
Ensures SDLC Testing component is met.
Manages the testing component within agreed timetables.
Provides strategic direction, undertakes test planning, scopes the testing required, estimates the effort and duration of testing, and determines resource and environment requirements
Technical Consultation
Contributes knowledge and expertise where required for peer review.
Contributes knowledge and expertise where required to projects being undertaken by other business units.
What You Will Need To Succeed:
A Matric or Grade 12 equivalent and a minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role with a minimum of 2 years experience in Automation Testing.
Relevant tertiary qualification advantageous
ISTQB Foundation and Agile certification is advantageous.
Object Orientated Programming knowledge advantageous.

The Opportunity:
An opportunity exists within the Credit Risk team for a Junior Model Developer. The role is responsible for the development, analysis and monitoring of originations strategy. This includes profitability analysis and portfolio segmentation.
In this role, you will get to
Monitor existing originations strategy with the intention of finding opportunities to improve portfolio profitability, by:
Refining the use of scorecards and policy rules in the origination decision
Refining pricing and limit allocation to optimize volume and profitability trade offs
Identifying subsegments within the portfolio that may not perform in line with expectations and recommend an appropriate treatment
Apply sound statistical methods to forecast portfolio growth and performance at a cohort level
Produce monthly, weekly and daily reports to track portfolio movements and the impact of any strategic changes
What you will need to succeed (knowledge, skills and experience):
Degree with Stats/Math/Applied Maths/Financial Risk Management/Data Science/Engineering or related disciplines
R, SQL or Python proficiency is beneficial

Job Description
At Old Mutual Multi-Managers we are looking for a person who is passionate about data. Data is the cornerstone of our investment business with complexity arising through the variety of processes and systems that utilise the data for different purposes and outcomes. In this complex environment, data stewardship is required to ensure that the structures are in place for data to be available to enhance business processes and exploit the value intrinsic in our data.
This role drives data quality and adherence to data governance requirements on a day-to-day basis. It incorporates processes, policies, and guidelines for administering Old Mutual Multi-Managers data in compliance with policy and/or regulatory obligations, ensuring high data quality. The data steward reviews and, if necessary, enhances the information provided for the creation or maintenance of data. The incumbent is accountable for driving the improvement of data governance, management and security maturity levels within OML to support reliable decision making, appropriate data usage and protection thereof.
Embeds good data practice within business units and functions, and champions a data and customer focused culture within Old Mutual Multi-Managers.
Set standards for the way in which data is governed i.e. how it is acquired, organised, stored, managed, maintained and supplied to the business
Drives data maturity improvements in Old Mutual Multi-Managers
Establishes process, procedure for data management and information governance.
Adheres to regulation and policy.
Participates and contributes to the Data Governance Board and owns data outcomes per business domain
Ensures decisions made in the Data Governance Board are implemented in their business domains.
Supports the business domain to ensure concerns regarding data are brought to the and satisfactorily resolved.
Operationally implements data projects and business as usual governance.
Acts as a thought leader, keeping abreast of best practices and new technology and leads the change management process
Builds strong working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders to understand and execute on their data ambitions
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
Relevant Tertiary qualification.
Min. 8 yrs demonstrated, relevant experience.
Min 3 years in data practice and/or analysis.
Knowledge of the investment industry is a distinct advantage
Knowledge of Infostore data warehouse is an advantage
