    Manex Facilitator

    MAIN JOB PURPOSE:

    • To facilitate and implement sustained World Class Manufacturing practices and to promote continuous improvement and growth.

    JOB SUMMARY:

    UMS implementation: Introduces, sells and champions UMS best practices as per the UMS module

    • Customizes the best practices designed by consultants to suit the needs of the environment
    • Drafts a UMS Action Plan with the Departmental Manager and Task Force, to assess the UMS Process
    • Manages the process of implementation by tracking progress, communicating barriers at higher levels and coordinating area committees
    • Provides logistical support for UMS implementation by planning and coordinating meetings, workshops and team building
    • Identifies learning gaps.  Either conducts training or arranges training for operators to bridge these gaps.

    Safety: Ensures the safe operating of the plant within the UMS Guidelines

    • Trains role-holders to look out for Safety Hazards within the production process and contacts the relevant people to improve on the areas. E.g. Lighting, ergonomics, storage and firefighting
    • Determines the safe cleaning and hygiene operational procedures, which facilitates the drafting of SOP’s (Standard Operating Procedures) in the plant
    • Cost Deployment: Consolidates Loss Data from the Plant and aids BPCD pillar lead in compiling BPCD Matrix
    • Is responsible for the control and execution of work against a budget and authorisation of work within authority limits
    • Investigate areas of improvement within the plant to optimise system and reporting functionality

    Training: Actively pursue opportunities for improvement within the plant, which are highlighted in terms of UMS / 5s and co-ordinate the rollout on the improvements

    • Champion all UMS Pillars and system audits held throughout the year
    • Ensure that all continuous improvement projects, are documented and visualised in terms of UMS
    • Ensures that all plant-based performance measures, are sourced, updated and displayed on the UMS Board
    • Identifies Training and Developing needs by consulting with the PD pillar to determine loss-based development plans and activities
    • Supports PD pillar in the development of Departmental Competency Matrix
    • Supports PD pillar in Planning and designing Training & Development programs (e.g. program writing and development)
    • Supports PD pillar by Delivering Training and Development programs (e.g. coaching, presentation, facilitation etc)
    • Reviews progress and assesses achievement (e.g. Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) writing, Plan Job Observation Performance)
    • Maintains and reviews training cycle (e.g. problem solving)
    • Continuously improves the effectiveness of training and development by conducting research
    • Schedules, tracks, reports and records training

    Additional responsibility

    • Support for setting up and prioritising cells for Run to Standard implementation
    • Custodian and gate keeper for Manex Data Collection systems.

    KEY REQUIREMENTS:

    • Engineering Diploma (Mechanical/Chemical) or relevant National Diploma and at least 1year experience in the factory or similar environment
    • Proficient on Excel, MS Project, MS Word, Power Point, MS Photo Editor
    • Problem solving and excellent communication skills

    Automation Analyst

    MAIN JOB PURPOSE:

    The key responsibility of the Automation Analyst will be to own and manage the hub automation strategy, execution and alignment with iOps strategy. The iOps automation analyst provides support to all core plan, execute, deliver and collect services in iOps organisation.

    CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES:

    • Own the strategy for automation and alignment with iOps Technology and tools
    • Ensure standardised approaches to automation and coordinate best practice sharing across iOps organisation
    • Identify automation opportunities aligned with global iOps strategy and continuous improvement
    • You'll deliver new and innovative automation solutions on the iOps Technology platforms focusing on business outcomes
    • You'll be working closely with key stakeholders across iOps – product owners, lifecycle leads, operational hub teams, global iOps teams
    • You will work closely with the global Automation Factory, aligning to standards and ways of working
    • You'll win over hearts and minds as your service is intrinsically linked to supporting our digital and cultural transformation
    • You'll support employees by challenging poor practices/the status quo, whilst building meaningful relationships allowing influence across internal and external customer groups
    • You’ll constantly innovate, utilising standard platform features and enablers
    • Ensure automations are documented, tested and deployed within the Operational Hub
    • Maintain a register of all Operational Hub Automations and ensure this is kept current
    • Ensure automations are updated and tested for all planned platform upgrades
    • Support knowledge management in the operational hub
    • Engage key functional and regional stakeholders
    • Provide input into KPI and performance measurement for iOps. Your work will allow employees to interact and collaborate with the iOps
    • Operational Hub in a consistent and intuitive fashion.

    • Preferably knowledge of Agile methodologies/practices e.g. Scrums and Sprints and able to demonstrate the active practice and implementation of these techniques
    • Ability to develop a strategy and direction for automation
    • Confident leadership and influencing style, being able to make an impact with various teams
    • Excellent communication skills

    Data Scientist

    MAIN JOB PURPOSE:

    You are a data scientist with a passion for data, data science, AI and ML, demonstrating understanding of the advances data science models and their application into the business. This role will focus on understanding and optimising the Unilever Business, building advanced and repeatable data science models that enable the business to make better decisions, drive 4G, and gain competitive advantage.

    Main accountabilities:

    • Understand the business problems and how to deliver relevant insights that lead to actions
    • Gather data and build data-science and algorithmic solutions to address business problems requiring descriptive, diagnostic, predictive, and / or prescriptive analytics
    • Create experimentation to solve complex business problems and deliver predictions on future business outcomes in a repeatable and relevant way
    • Support product teams scaling models into low-touch solutions to provide optimal ROI from data science5. Work on in-market business problems coming from CCBTs, CD, Finance and CLT.
