    Mechanical Assistant x 2

    Minimum Qualification / Experience

    • Minimum Std 10 or Grade 12 equivalent qualification.
    • South African Citizen.
    • Code B or higher driver’s license.
    • Must be able to work well within a diverse team as well as under pressure.
    • Excellent communication and coordination skills.
    • Be able to speak Afrikaans and / or English.
    • Must be medically fit to work on a Mine.
    • Must be preferably between the ages of 18 and 27.
    • Mechanical workshop experience with hand tools, power tools and welding will be an added advantage.
    • N1/N2 would be an added advantage.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Assist the Mechanical Artisan with daily maintenance, inspections, general tasks and projects.
    • Lubrication of equipment.
    • Ad hoc overtime (after hours work).
    • Standby duties.
    • Working at heights.
    • Working in dusty conditions (Limestone, Dolomite and Lime dust).

    Diesel Mechanic

    Responsibilities include (but not limited to the following)

    • Assist with general duties assigned by site Manager.
    • Perform first line maintenance task on mobile plant, crushers, drill rigs, loaders, dumpers, excavators and screens.
    • Perform first line of breakdown repairs on plant and equipment.
    • Develop, Modify, Construct and install related equipment required for the safe operation of all engineering equipment.
    • Diagnosis, troubleshooting, faultfinding and repair, and participation in HIRA.

    Minimum Qualification / Experience

    • Grade 12 certificate (preferably Technical).
    • Qualified Diesel Mechanic.
    • 2 – 3 years of experience.
    • Valid Driver’s License.
    • Knowledge of tools and lubrication processes.
    • Willing to travel for work purposes.

    Requirements

    • National Diploma in Health and Safety or relevant.
    • COMSOC 1 and 2 will be advantageous.
    • SAMTRAC will be advantageous.
    • Valid Driver’s license.
    • Computer Literacy (MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint & Outlook).

    Manager: Mobile Crushing Division

    Minimum Qualifications / Experience / Competencies

    • A minimum of 10 years’ management experience in the Construction/Mining industry.
    • Must be proficient in English and Afrikaans.
    • Experience in managing multi-disciplinary teams across different geographical areas. With the focus on operational efficiencies, profitability and customer satisfaction.
    • Must be experienced in building relationship with internal and external stakeholder (e.g. clients, communities, DMRE, etc.).
    • Experience in complying with all legal, health, statutory, safety, environmental and quality requirements across different operations.
    • Must be proficient in office suite.
    • Must have a valid driver’s license.
    • Must be willing to travel nationally in line with operational and business requirements.

    Senior Accountant

    Minimum Qualifications / Experience / Competencies

    • A relevant Batchelor’s degree is required with SAIPA or CIMA articles preferred.
    • Advanced skills in Excel with working knowledge of AccPack and SAGE.
    • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in the Transport/Logistics industry.
    • Must be proficient in English and Afrikaans.
    • Ability to work under pressure and independently without close supervision.
    • Ability to plan, organize and control priorities with good administrative and communication skills.
    • Will prefer a candidate with knowledge of applicable Legislation as it applies to the Transport/Logistics industry.
    • Good working knowledge of tax laws in SA.

    • Expense provisions.
    • Understand the process of workflow (purchase orders, receipting, invoicing, payments, matching of documents, reconciliation).
    • Cashflow forecast.
    • Monthly provisions.

    • Staff management – training/development, management of performance, etc.

    SHE Officer

    Minimum Qualifications / Experience

    • Minimum Std 10 of Grade 12 equivalent qualification.
    • A relevant qualification (SAMTRAC, SHEMTRAC, NEBOSH or NADSAM) required by OHSA and its regulations.
    • Valid driver’s license.
    • Technical Training: Safety training.
    • 3-5 years’ experience as a SHE Officer in a mining environment is advantageous.
    • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office.
    • Excellent knowledge of SHE Legislation.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Maintain Health and Safety Filing System as per Afrimat’s Processes.
    • Implementation and maintenance of the safety system.
    • Conduct monthly Safety Inspection, Safety Induction and compile Safety Reports.
    • Assisting Mine Manager with and attend Internal, External and DMR Audits.
    • Ensure that all safety reps do their monthly inspections.
    • Conduct Safety Awareness training for employees in the area required.
    • Conduct and advise managers/supervisors on Incident/Accident investigations.
    • Ensure all required committees are established, committee members are trained, have valid certificates and are legally appointed as required.
    • Maintain Codes of Practice (COP’s) and Work Instructions (WI’s) by ensuring all required COP’s and WI’s are revised, updated, signed off and distributed to identified parties as required.
