    Driver

    Job Description

    To provide a reliable and courteous transportation service to staff and participants with safety being a top priority; to provide a communication link between participants and staff; to operate and maintain assigned vehicles; and to maintain vehicles and staff records. 

    Key Duties and Responsibilities

    Transportation

    • Transport staff to and from the clinics and office.
    • Transport staff to and from the office to events held on weekends and Public Holidays.
    • Assist with the setting up and packing away of equipment used at events.
    • Collect and delivery equipment, documentation etc. when required.
    • Maintain accurate records of demographics of clients who use the transport service.
    • Keep records of kilometres travelled and manage site visits – logbook.
    • Report vehicle accident or damage immediately.
    • Plan and allocate vehicles trips on a day-to-day basis.

    Vehicle Maintenance

    • Fuel the vehicle and make sure it is always clean.
    • Ensure that vehicle is regularly serviced and well maintained (i.e., tyres, brake pads, etc.) and that it meets general safety requirements.
    • Prepare accident and incident reports as necessary.
    • Liaise with the Office Manager for Vehicle licence renewals.

    Procurement

    • Assist with any office adhoc duties.
    • Assist in collection and deliveries of goods and materials.
    • Arrange for collection and distribution.
    • General Office Support
    • Ensure that all training tools are always in working order.
    • Provide other services as requested by management when not engaged with transporting people or items.
    • Assist with photocopying and distribution of documents.

    Essential Qualifications and Experience

    • Code 08 Drivers licence
    • Matric or equivalent work experience
    • PDP – Professional Driver’s Permit
    • Defensive Driving Course an advantage
    • At least 2 years driving experience.
    • Communication skills and local language ability

    Technical Knowledge and Skills

    • Defensive driving.

    General Assistant - Thabazimbi

    Job Description

    Cleaning

    • Performs cleaning tasks for the offices: e.g. sweeping,
    • Vacuums every second day.
    • Disinfects, mops and dusts daily.
    • Uses cleaning materials and equipment as recommended by the Supplier.
    • Cleans kitchens daily.
    • Empties dustbins and removes waste daily.
    • Clean Windows as and when required (at reachable level)
    • Complies with all health and safety regulations e.g. using “Wet Floor” sign when mopping.

    Materials Management

    • Report any damage to property immediately when noticed.
    • Liaise with office manager to order provisions such as coffee tea sugar and milk, cleaning material, etc. before they runs out.
    • Make sure that paper towels are ordered before they run out.
    • Ensure that there are sufficient cleaning materials at all times.
    • Ensure that there are sufficient groceries at all times.
    • Safe keeping of cleaning materials and groceries.

    Health & Safety

    • Adheres to Health and Safety regulations by using protective clothing and equipment.
    • Assists with any adhoc duties as and when required.
    • Change bulbs for the office
    • Available as the contact person for all tea requests for meetings in the boardroom.
    • Runs errands when required.
    • Arrange teas for meetings - i.e. set up tea trolleys, serve and clear up.
    • Help with the movement of office furniture or any movable assets.

    Minimum Qualifications, Experience and Skills Required:

    Professional Nurse

    Job Description

    Provide Clinical Services to Clients at the Ivan Toms Centre and its Community-Based Mobile Teams

    • Ensure all clinical service provision remains in line with national, provincial, and site-level guidelines.
    • Provide key population competent and sensitive care to all clients to ensure an enabling and welcoming environment.
    • Ensure clients are appropriately screened, counselled, and initiated onto ART or PrEP as required.
    • Maintain service points and spaces according to clinical guidelines including all COVID precautions.
    • Conduct quality assurance procedures to ensure NDOH guidelines and programme requirements are fully implemented. 

    Client Engagement & Retention 

    • Maintain client engagement to support long-term retention in care.
    • Facilitate client referrals and confirmed linkage for supplemental care as required by site-level and project guidelines.
    • Work closely with project managers to ensure appropriate coverage of clinical services across all client access points. 

    Reporting and Support

    • Accurately record and collate patient-level data daily through established reporting and management systems.
    • Provide weekly, monthly and quarterly reports on HTS, ART and other facility activity report. 
    • Any other tasks as agreed with line manager.

    Minimum Qualifications, Experience and Skills Required

    • Proven experience providing competent clinical care for men who have sex with men or other key populations is required.
    • Registration as a Professional Nurse with the South African Nursing Council.
    • NIMART trained and certified as competent to work independently with at least two years’ experience is preferred.
    • Registration with the South African Nursing Council is required.
    • Experience working in target-driven, PEPFAR-funded environment is strongly preferred.
    • Previous PrEP implementation and training is highly advantageous.
    • Willingness to provide clinical services in facility as well as on community-based mobile units is required.
    • Willingness to work flexible hours is required.
    • Ability to work independently with strong patient triage skills.
    • Valid driver’s license and willing to travel as and when required.

    Monitoring And Evaluations Manager

    Job Description

    The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating data collection, collation, quality, reporting and capacity building at district level and sub district level. The M&E Manager will provide leadership to district data management and reporting teams, support health facility HMIS and data quality, and engage actively with Anova Parktown Data Management and Analytics teams. Contribute to the APACE project’s strategic instrument design, data collection, analysis and reporting activities and outcomes. 

    Key Duties and Responsibilities

    • Oversee routine reporting into DATIM and support District Management teams to produce data quality narratives
    • Promote the use of data at various levels of programme implementation based on identified indicators
    • Conduct weekly, monthly, and quarterly data quality audits (DQAs) of reported data in conjunction with program managers, district technical support and M&E officers
    • Maintenance of standard health data information systems (HIS) such as TIER.Net, PHCIS, Prehmis, etc. across all Anova supported sites
    • Conduct appropriate onsite training; provide remedial plans; actively participate in resolving problems at the facility level
    • Supervision of M&E officers and day-to-day supervision of data capturing teams
    • Coordinate facility data capturing teams and resolve/fix data quality issues
    • Maintain a schedule of targeted funder site visits and provide M&E content for such visits
    • Provide on-going M&E technical assistance to Anova APACE staff, sub-grantees, and DOH, Community partners
    • Coordinate sub-district performance review meetings, and monitor remedial actions
    • Coordinate workplan implementation review process with Programme Managers
    • Build and strengthen strategic relationships with DOH, other Funded organisations & Provincial Sectoral Departments
    • Represent Anova at DOH HAST Directorate and Community meetings and forums

    Minimum Qualifications, Experience and Skills Required

    • A First Degree
    • More than 4 years training or work experience in either: monitoring & evaluation, computer science, information systems, data management science, public health, health informatics, statistics/mathematics
    • At least 5 years of experience with Health Indicators, M&E, Data quality and reporting to DOH or PEPFAR
    • Experience with DHIS, Health Systems, ETR.NET, DATIM and health indicators
    • Experience in M&E Capacity building for facility level data capturing teams
    • Outstanding communication skills and report writing skills
    • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
    • Ability to work proactively and collaboratively with people at all levels in the organisation
    • Advanced Computer Skills, especially MS Excel
    • Knowledge of best practices
    • Experience in a clinical research environment
    • Experience implementing Monitoring and Evaluation plans
    • Experience with Health Systems, DHIS, Clinical stationery, DQA and Data feedback
    • Experience training and mentoring in Monitoring and Evaluation and familiarity with South Africa’s health information at public-sector facilities
