    Senior Client Manager

    What the day will look like

    • Responsible for delivering on the agreed plan for the business unit/ area of specialty in line with the Aon SA strategy
    • Responsible for leading, developing and improving the day to day client relationship for high premium clients and within the scheme
    • Responsible for a portfolio of client accounts and manages and co-ordinates all related activities including building a “client profile” of risks and needs analysis
    • Structures an insurance programme to meet these needs including producing client documentation, leading or contributing to renewal meetings and leading or contributing to fee negotiation
    • Responsible for leading the tender processes (where applicable) within the area of specialty
    • Responsible for maintaining and improving client satisfaction, retention, revenue and profitability including fee negotiation
    • Responsible for analysing and interpreting the markets/ relevant industries for competitive advantage and emerging opportunities
    • Responsible for compliant dealings with clients
    • Upholds development of new business either with existing or new clients – spots opportunities for increasing revenue and follows up appropriately
    • Co-Ordinate teams of Client Service Advisors/ Client Managers to ensure client service standards are met
    • Responsible for managing financials for a portfolio of clients and/ or for area of specialty
    • Responsible for all technical advice and/ or related training within the area of specialty

    Skills and experience that will lead to success

    Qualifications.

    • A minimum of Grade 12 or equivalent
    • A Bachelor’s degree is preferable
    • Must be registered as a representative with the FSCA in terms of the FAIS Act
    • Must be registered as an associate with the IISA

    Knowledge.

    • Excellent knowledge of policy wordings.
    • A comprehensive knowledge of the South African and international short-term insurance markets.
    • An in-depth strategic knowledge of industry and business strategies and company goals.
    • Computer literacy with advanced know-how in MS Word and Excel.
    • A working knowledge of risk management methodologies.
    • Good knowledge of the legislative framework governing the industry.
    • Have knowledge of underwriting and claims administration / management – including the handling of complex claims

    Skills and Attributes.

    • Skill and confidence to articulate Aon’s proposition and how it differentiates Aon and benefit clients.
    • Advanced analytical, technical and problem-solving skills and abilities.
    • Well- Developed communication skills.
    • Fluency in the English language, both written and spoken.

    Experience.

    • Have a minimum of 10 years’ experience in a similar or related role.
    • Have experience in budgets, forecasts and financial planning
    • Have a proven track record in the provision of risk management and
    • insurance solutions across the full spectrum of the business enterprises in South Africa

    Sales Consultant

    What the day will look like

    • Prepares and processes quotes on the relevant systems and/ or as required.
    • Provides professional and accurate advice on cover, exclusions, terms and conditions and ensuring clients are advised of any underwriting requirements in terms of the policy.
    • Negotiates cover and rates with insurers on behalf of clients.
    • Responsible for generating new business according to set targets.
    • Ensures that proposals are correctly completed and follows up on outstanding documentation.
    • Follows up on quotes already produced and not yet accepted by clients.
    • Ensures that schemes run profitably by adhering strictly to the underwriting criteria.
    • Responsible for producing weekly and monthly operating/ sales reports.
    • Responsible for engaging in business development and/or contributing directly or indirectly to all business development efforts in Aon South Africa

    Skills and experience that will lead to success

    Qualifications.

    • Grade 12 (matric).
    • A Bachelor’s degree is preferable.

    Affinity and Volume Sales Business Unit Manager

    What the day will look like

    • Define and accelerate growth plans, including cross-sell synergies 
    • Ensure growth plan includes growth priorities as agreed
    • Work with Chief Commercial Office and New Business Development Executives to achieve new business results
    • Develop new business opportunities and support Affinity and Volume Business Sales, in collaboration with Personal Lines, Commercial and Specialty business units to achieve their new business targets in line with Aon Strategy
    • Work with Solution Lines Leadership teams to drive growth plan execution
    • The role is product agnostic and covers a wide range of product lines including Personal Lines, Specialty and Commercial Solution Lines.
    • Affinity business will now partner with industry verticals such as Financial Institutions, Mobility, Telecommunication, High Net Work, Professions and Associations etc.
    • Drive conversion through effective negotiations with Industry Vertical Partners
    • Works with National Sales Centre to ensure volume sales targets are met
    • Manage engagement with other Business Units i.e. Growth Operations, Personal Lines, Affinity, Commercial and Aon Branch Network
    • Maintains strong knowledge of Aon services
    • Ensure delivery of Aon United strategy through driving cross-sell and upsell opportunities.
    • Ensure resources, systems and processes are in place to drive effeciency and productivity aligned to sales targets
    • Participation and contribution towards Aon South Africa growth strategy and initiatives
    • Development of personal expertise and excellence by utilising the Aon knowledge tools available and ensure that process is in place to drive individual responsibility
    • Implement an annual talent review process and have a succession plan in place.

    Skills and experience that will lead to success

    Qualifications.

    • A grade 12 certificate (matric).
    • A relevant bachelor’s degree would be advantageous.
    • Must be registered as a representative with the FSCA in terms of the FAIS act
    • Registration as a Licentiate with the IISA.
    • Comply with the applicable fit and proper possessions as per the Financial Advisory and Intermediary Services Act.

    Knowledge.

    • Quality Control/Assurance knowledge
    • Has a good working knowledge of Aon products and services offered.
    • Knowledge of the principles and practices in a technical/professional discipline.
    • Knowledge of company policies and procedures.
    • Knowledge and understanding of the applicable provisions set out in the general code of conduct for authorised financial services providers and representatives.

    Client Service Advisor - Durban

    What the day will look like

    As a Client Service Advisor, your responsibilities will include:

    • Responsible for being the primary point of contact for clients.
    • Contribute to and provide input into the entire client life cycle, including renewals, endorsements and/or cancellation of policies.
    • Work with New Business Development Executives to generate and co-ordinate new business leads and assist with converting them into opportunities on Aon Connect.

    • Minimum NQF level 5 (Licentiate) mandatory or NQF 6 (Associate) (Insurance Qualification) will be advantageous.
