    General Manager: Coastal Private Sector

    Description
    Key deliverables and outputs
    Strategy Implementation

    • Implement the divisional strategic objectives in support of the broader Zeda Rental and Leasing strategic goals.
    • Continuously improve business processes to respond to changes in market conditions.

    Budgets and Forecasting

    • Responsible for creating and managing the cost centre budget and internal expenses in conjunction with the finance
    • department, aligning it with the business forecasts.
    • Drive the achievement of key financial metrics of the division.
    • Create and align financed fleet size budgets to the business forecasts.

    Revenue Management

    • Manage profitability of contracts (over contract terms and over contract km’s)
    • Identify and analyse revenue trends and take action to reduce cos/optimise revenue.
    • Create and drive opportunities to increase revenue.
    • Set annual revenue targets and monitor performance against targets.
    • Drive the selling of total mobility solutions where possible (e.g All Rental and leasing products and services)

    Sales and Marketing Management

    • Analyse trends in the industry/Market to equip the organisation with an understanding of the competitive landscape and to position the organisation for increased effectiveness in winning new business and retention of existing ones.
    • Attend to escalated queries or issues.
    • Give input and advice on tender requirements in terms of understanding the requirements of the specs of vehicles to determine cost etc.
    • Identify the need for innovative product offerings as well as ensure prioritisation of resources (i.e budgetary, systems, people, etc.) required for delivery in line with the profitability of the product/solution.
    • Improve productivity across internal stakeholders to ensure focus on priorities.
    • Provide guidance to the sales and support environment in terms of all aspects of sales.
    • Manage total cost of ownership on all assets.
    • Manage all PBS (Performance Based Standard) demonstration project for internal stakeholders (Value Stream
    • Analysis, Rapid Improvement Events, support of Centre of Excellence)
    • Continuously encourage and support improved sales and marketing business processes to respond to changes in market conditions.
    • Provide necessary support and documentation during auditing periods.
    • Create and foster a business development culture which embraces innovation, strategic, proactive, and client-centric approach in identifying, actively pursuing and closing new business opportunities.
    • Manage the adherence to contracted CSI requirements.
    • Review and approve monthly commission and quarterly bonuses in line with agreed targets.

    Governance and Compliance

    • Maintain and Manage adherence to standards of ethics and compliance for all areas of responsibility.
    • Manage compliance to all legislative requirements.
    • Manage the business unit’s compliance to contractual requirements and Service Level Agreements (e.g turn-around times, service quality, etc)

    Reporting

    • Consolidate and prepare and submit board report timeously.
    • Create and submit monthly Bowler reports and New Business Development reports.
    • Prepare and present Daily Review Meeting reports to EXCO on a monthly basis
    • Analyse live data on the Sales Tracker dashboard.

    People Management

    • Provide clear direction and decisive leadership to direct reports, ensuring all are aligned to the goals and have a clear purpose.
    • Set clearly defined performance standards / targets for direct reports, holding them accountable to achieve these and providing support and guidance when needed.
    • Create and maintain a constructive atmosphere within the team, engaging and motivating direct reports to always give their best, while respecting any areas of diversity (whether areas of expertise, cultural, gender, age, background, etc.)
    • Ensure direct reports adhere to set business policies and procedure, emphasising the importance of general discipline at work and objectively correcting and handling any deviation as they rise.
    • Resources and staff the team appropriately, considering the relevance of current and new jobs as well as the most suitable ways in which to place or replace any vacancies.
    • Set the example to the team and deliver on the employee value proposition by leading the team and the business in line with the Avis leadership behaviours

    Academic Qualifications
    Essential:

    • NQF Level 6 Qualification in Transport/Logistics
    • Valid Driver’s Licence

    Work Experience
    Essential:

    • Minimum of 8-10 years’ Experience in leasing and fleet management
    • Minimum of 10 years’ Experience at the managerial level
    • Minimum of 2 years’ Experience in Sales is Advantageous

    Strategic/Financial

    • Apply effective problem solving and conceptualisation skills to ensure that appropriate strategies and tactics are employed in solutions design, and where necessary, draw in the expertise of internal resources.
    • Clearly articulate the product offering of all divisions with the aim of consolidating the unique selling proposition of the Group.
    • Work closely with internal business in order to enhance current business activities to maximise results.
    • Ensure the development and implementation of clear and coherent strategies for the generation of additional revenue generating opportunities from existing customer as well as by exploring untapped markets and industries.

    Rental Sales Agent: Luxury Cars (FTC 24 Months)

    Description
    Key deliverables and outputs

    Fleet and Counter Product Planning

    Rental Transactions

    • Delivery of superior service to customers
    • Rental transactions for Luxury Cars & Chauffeur Drive
    • Asset control and fleet control
    • Exceeding Customer Survey Index targets by offering superior service consistently
    • Ensure each reservation has an allocated vehicle taking note of customer requests
    • Ensure adequate resources to cover deliveries and collections for the day
    • Ensure all counter products are made ready for rent and provision is made for additional requests
    • Follow the rental process work instructions for the checkout process
    • Follow the rental process work instructions for the check in process
    • Follow the Luxury Cars local procedure on every check out to enhance the customer's experience and use of Avis Budget products and services
    • Check that the fleet is perfectly prepared by the drivers

    Admin

    • Pre plan for the following days Luxury Cars & Chauffeur Drive rentals
    • Call all chauffeurs and despatch on AS400
    • Modify rental agreements and capture rental information in AS400 & Wizard to ensure the rental agreement is accurate for billing purposes
    • Batch all documentation according to work instruction on a daily basis
    • Ensure QCEs are completed accurately
    • Follow the lost property work instruction
    • Correctly complete damage reports and follow the accident, damage and report work instruction
    • Print and action all required Wizard reports as per process in Wizard Reports Work Instruction
    • Investigate and report any unresolved/suspicious matters on reports to Manager/Supervisor immediately
    • File all documents

    Customer Rental Experience

    • Call all customers hiring a Luxury Car and terminating a Luxury Car
    • Meeting customers on termination of car at drop n go
    • Follow the Breakdown and Accidents work instruction
    • Ensure that the customer is assisted in the event of a requested exchange, vehicle breakdown or theft
    • Constant communication with customer during the experience and ensure that the customer is satisfied after the experience
    • To provide any additional service to the customer during the rental period e.g. extensions, pricing, products etc.

    Health, Safety and Security

    • Workplace is kept in a neat and hygienic condition
    • All assets are secured according to procedure
    • (Range:  cash, keys, premises, documents, lost property)
    • Be aware of evacuation/fire plan
    • All concerns to be raised with Supervisor/Managers
