    As a Senior Specialist, Talent Acquisition (internally known as Senior Specialist, Talent Acquisition), it will be your job to work as part of the Talent Acquisition team to find and hire world class talent for various positions across Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa (EEMEA).     In this role you will:

    The IMK Merchant Development group’s mission is to develop and strengthen MasterCard’s Enterprise level proposition across key industries: retail, digital, airlines and T&E across the broader spectrum of merchants (from SMEs to strategic) in close collaboration with the IMK regional teams.

    The key areas of responsibilities for the overall group are business development across the industry verticals and building/ deepening relationship with the Strategic merchants.     • Development of scalable value propositions across retail, travel and other merchants to drive revenues by leveraging on the product team, expert sales, Advisors etc.

    OVERVIEW – ROLE PURPOSE & ROLE FOCUS AREAS

    Reporting to the Sub Saharan Africa (SSA) Division President, the Primary Purpose of the role of Specialist, Business Support, SSA, is to support the SSA DP and the wider SSA Management Team in the effective execution of the overall SSA Business Agenda.

    Towards the aim of effective execution, the primary role focus areas will comprise 3 main pillars:

    • Providing Support in Establishing an Analytics-based Commercial Mindset. 40% of role responsibilities
    • Helping to driving Efficiencies across Key Activities and Processes. 40% of role responsibilities

    ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Providing Support in Establishing an Analytics-based Commercial Mindset:

    • Together with Country/Cluster teams, SSA Finance and SSA HR, ensure all SIP Objectives are well thought through, with the aggregation of these plans leading to SSA meeting and potentially exceeding on delivery of the overall business targets.
    •  Together with the MEA Business Analytics Unit, in-market Sales/Business Support, and SSA Finance, create and disseminate detailed portfolio/account level analytics to drive SSA sales performance, ensure timely tracking of performance against agreed SIP KPI’s, and execute real time corrective actions.
    •  Together with SSA Marketing, Cluster/Country leads, and SSA Finance, implement rigorous processes that drive efficient analytics-based utilization of SSA A&M budget, CBA and Syndicated Marketing funds, and ensure effective monitoring and post activity evaluation of each major initiative.
    • Together with SSA Finance, Account/Country/Cluster leads, and SSA Market Development leads, provide support in managing a rigorous monthly/quarterly process of regular performance reviews of key partner CBA’s and strategic merchant agreements to drive best in class financial returns.
    • Together with SSA Finance, Country/Cluster Leads, and the relevant support functions/verticals, drive cost management excellence, Division-wide cost efficiencies, and recommend/coordinate the execution of specific cost-efficiency initiatives.
    • Jointly, with the execution team/s, provide regular performance updates, and appropriate escalations when necessary, to enable the company to take timely corrective action and remove execution obstacles.

    Helping to driving Efficiencies across Key Activities and Processes.

    • Support in the coordination and management of the different SSA business forums. These comprise, but are not limited to; a) SSA Management Team Meeting (MMTM), b) SSA Marketing Governance Forums (MMGF), c) SSA Deal Pipeline Review (MDPR), d) SSA Merchant Review Forum (MMRF), and e) any other forums that are added from time to time.
    • Support in the preparation and delivery of post meeting actions across the following forums; a) SSA Division Reviews (MDR) with SSA DFO, b) MEA OPCO – jointly with MEA Strategy Team, c) MEA HR Committee – jointly with SSA HR, and d) any other forums that are added from time to time.
    • Across all forums, put in place a consolidated action tracker that is regularly monitored, reviewed, and followed up on, to ensure effective delivery by each action owner.
    • Together with the MEA Head of Sales Excellence, support in the effective implementation of sales processes and disciplines across SSA; such as prospecting, wallet sizing, account planning, pipeline management, System of Knowledge (SOK), expert sales elevator pitches, and structured RFP responses for Mastercard assets and solutions, amongst others, to ensure that the SSA Sales teams operate with a consistent, structured, and focused approach that delivers strong commercial outcomes.
    • Together with SSA HR, MEA Talent Management, and Country/Cluster Leads, support in driving improvements in sales effectiveness, sales capability and sales process efforts across SSA through a rigorous performance evaluation and development plan, and the effective utilization of strong financial and non-financial recognition programs.
    • Own the SSA Management Information and data, competitive benchmarking reports, ad-hoc requests for analysis, weekly and monthly reporting, and responses to ad-hoc information requests from senior regional and global stakeholders.
    • Support in carrying out comprehensive functional process mapping, identifying efficiency related areas of improvement, development appropriate recommendations, and leading process re-engineering initiatives to drive efficiencies.

    Providing Administrative Support as required

    •  Together with SSA Marketing/Comms Cluster/Country leads, and SSA Finance, support in the preparation, execution, and effective management of an annual SSA customer engagement event plan.
    • Together with the Account Leads, manage the SSA DP external customer engagement plan, in support of the overall business agenda in each market. Ensure quality advance meeting preparation are in place well ahead of each meeting, personalized post meeting communication is done, and subsequent meeting agreed actions are tracked to quality and timely execution.
    • Manage and co-ordinate monthly team events and meetings. Organize and co-ordinate any office event arrangements (e.g. Workshops, Conferences, Seminars)
    • Serve as administrative liaison to others within and outside the company.
    • As required, provide support on a variety of Administrative matters such as agenda management, meeting coordination, travel logistics planning, amongst others.
