    Vice President of Engineering DevOps

    This position is responsible for overseeing the DevSecOps within the Information & Technology (I&T) function. The Senior Vice President: Development Engineering ensures that the company meets it’s objectives by developing new platforms and/or products and improving on existing platforms (reducing technical debt).

    This position works with the I&T leadership to enable the SAFe Agile framework, ensuring that the I&T engineering function is able to meet the demands of the business. The Senior Vice President: Development Engineering is are tasked with enabling the DevSecOps ensuring Continuous Development, Continuous Integration and Release on demand capabilities.

    She/He needs to create a culture which ensures that security is built in and the Development Engineering division has a relentless focus on quality, ensuring that the architecture principles are adhered too.

    Key roles and responsibilities:

    • Works with the CIO and I&T Finance Director to develop and drive the implementation of an IT Strategy and budget required to execute and annual and multi-year development and engineering plan.
    • Direct senior teams in achieving the objectives of the Development Engineering division.
    • Drive accountability, consistency, quality, and process standardization across all phases of engineering and development.
    • Provides leadership, direction and mentorship for development engineering division within and across global geographies.
    • Provide support to, identify, manage and coordinate the implementation of development engineering protocols or best practice standards.
    • Provide feedback to stakeholders on current and future path of platforms implemented and their product roadmaps.
    • Develop and monitor metrics as required and convey metrics to ensure appropriate alignment and executive awareness.
    • Ensuring timely and consistent communication to stakeholders on risk management and change management associated with the technology and development portfolio.
    • Actively promote new ways of working that drive agility, speed and design-thinking.
    • Champion cross-functional, multi-disciplinary teaming.
    • Implement, maintain and monitor standards, controls, processes and solutions to minimise business and IT risk, ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements and standards.
    • Accountable for driving continuous improvement and within the Development Engineering division.
    • Build long term, strategic relationships with executive stakeholders in a large client organisation.

    Academic qualifications and certifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology

    • Operations Management Certification like ITIL

    Experience required:

    • Leadership, coaching, mentoring and operational management experience
    • Experience in leading DevSecOps within a package based environment. In particular SAP, SFDC and ServiceNow.
    • Substantial experience in a similar position at a senior level
    • Proven technical expertise and extensive industry experience
    • Demonstrable track record of involvement in research and development new products or product lines
    • Proven experience developing programs that address the research and development industry trends
    • Proven experience analysing development needs of the development engineering team
    • Experience working with scaled Agile approach and methodology
    • Proven DevSecOps management experience

    Human Resources Information System Specialist

    Job Description Summary

    • We are looking for an HRIS Specialist to join our HRIS team. This team member will play a central role in the HR Information System roadmap, be a part of a high performing team, and work within a global information services team. You will be involved in the creation and enhancement of a global HRIS platform that will serve one of the world’s most innovative global technology companies.

    Job Description

    • You will deliver and support HRIS related initiatives from an Employee Life Cycle perspective, such as HCM, Talent Management, Performance Management, Advance Compensation, Security, Absence, Recruitment, Reporting & Analytics. This will all happen within an Agile framework.
    • You will build, quality assure and maintain HR system functionality to meet business requirements, which includes configuration of Workday, other HRIS applications, and system integrations to integrate with other Business Applications.
    • You will partner with technical and business stakeholders on a regular basis in close teamwork with our DevOps Team Manager.
    • You will troubleshoot complex process, application and functional issues and lead these, in accordance with agreed service levels, through to resolution
    • You will collaborate in the design and operation of processes and procedures to keep our HRIS environment in healthy shape and compliant with needed control frameworks, driving Data Integrity and Security initiatives to meet business needs.
    • You will improve your own as well as our common ways of working – every day – in candid and passionate collaboration with your team.

    Additional Job Description

    • You understand HRIS information structure, integrations, functions, and processes as well as HR business processes within a multi-national organisation.
    • You have a minimum 4 years’ experience using Workday or SAP SuccessFactors HCM; HCM certification is a plus
    • You have experience on more than 2 of the following Workday functional areas with HCM as basis - Talent Management, Performance Management, Advance Compensation, Security, Absence, Recruitment, Reporting & Analytics.
    • You understand HR policies, roles, and global processes
    • You have experience of SOX, IT General Controls, GDPR and related System Audits
    • You have excellent skills in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, Vlookup, Macros etc.)
    • You are highly organized with the ability to support multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
    • You are familiar with complex technical problems integrating several Business Applications, such as SalesForce, Concur, SAP, Payroll applications.
    • You are experienced working in Agile development management with source control (Jira or AgileCraft)
    • You have excellent investigation and diagnostic skills
    • You have a demonstrable ability to build sound relationships and clearly communicate expectations and proposed solutions.
    • You thrive in working with diverse teams and influencing business processes to ensure the most effective method to achieve business goals

    Accountant: Consolidations (AA/EE)

    A large manufacturing organisation based in JHB West is offering a challenging and rewarding opportunity to a detailed-orientated and self-motivated individual to join the finance team. This role reports into the Financial Controller and involves:

    • Providing accurate and timely financial information to both group and local stakeholders monthly and annually as required
    • Preparation of annual financial statements including consolidated statements and accounts preparation for approval by the Company, Holding Company and its subsidiaries, complying to international Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
    • Preparing and providing assistance with monthly and quarterly board, committee and formal exco meetings
    • Continuous improvement of reporting standards, implementation of new standards in terms of IFRS and the development of control systems
    • Compilation of consolidated reports and preparation of the consolidated budget and forecasts
    • Assisting with and compiling of budget and forecasts for cost centres
    • Ensuring statutory compliance to IFRS, IAS, Companies Act and financial Legislation

    Qualification:

    • Bcom Honours + completed articles
    • CA advantageous

    Experience:

    • Min 4 years consolidations experience
    • SAP experience
    • MUST have experience within a mining, construction or manufacturing environment
