    Purpose of the Job    

    The purpose of the job is to work closely with the Marketing Team in coordinating projects, to sustain as well as grow customers through the creation and communication of superior value.

    1. Scheduling of advertising and billing of suppliers
    2. Ensure deadline of print & digital advertisements are met
    3. Arranging and coordinating events and Expo's
    4. Assisting with marketing projects

    6. Collect and combine info on projects and report on results
    7. Compilation on monthly advertising
    8. Construct proposals as requested
    9. Coordinate advertising with suppliers internal & external
    10. Distribute promotions and marketing material
    11. General administrative functions as requested
    12. Invoice & contract updates and tracking
    13. Keeping all external payments updated
    14. Loading promotions on all advertisements
    15. OOS report on marketing activities
    16. Create creative content
    17. Manage of website and linkedin profile
    18. Ensure product packshots are correct on website
    19. Management of Welmed budget

    Qualifications    

    Essential:

    Degree/Diploma in Marketing or Public Relations

    Experience    

    Desirable:

    1. Public relations experience
    2. FMCG/Retail experience

    Knowledge and Skills    

    Essential:

    1. Social Media (Blogging, Facebook, Twitter)
    2. Marketing principles and practices
    3. Customer Services principles Desirable

    Internal Communications Intern

    Purpose of the Job    

    The overarching role of the Internal Communications Intern is to assist the Internal Communications team to drive process and deliverables within set timeframes that serve and moves the business forward.

    Job Objectives    

    The portfolio includes the following focus areas and key deliverables:

    OurShoprite Company Newspaper

    1. Writing
      1. Assist with writing articles that creatively communicate important corporate messages
      2. Source background information
      3. Source images
      4. Source quotes
      5. Management of the #OurShoprite mailbox
    2. 2. Printed #OurShoprite
      1. Assist in segmenting of information from the business (received via email, save on OneDrive in the folder structure created)
      2. Assist to compile the distribution memo
    3. Digital #OurShoprite
      1. Source long service profiles
      2. Source relevant media and content as required
    4. Digital newsletters
      1. Help manage content for Digital Newsletters
      2. Assist in sourcing information for Digital Newsletter
    5. Communication Campaigns
      1. Assist with copy and creative as required
    6. CEO Video
      1. Assist with the process and awareness campaign
    7. General
      1. Transcribing
      2. Translations
      3. Proofreading
      4. Writing (as required and may include letters, reports, award entries etc.)

    Qualifications    

    Degree/Diploma in Public Relations or Journalism

    Experience    

    N/A

    Knowledge and Skills    

    1. Passion and a true interest in the PR industry.
    2. Applicable knowledge of copywriting and editing.
    3. Digital: image sourcing, digital letters, etc.
    4. Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership skills.
    5. Outstanding organizational and time management skills.
    6. Aptitude in presentation and public speaking.
    7. Attention to detail.
