    Brand Coordinator (Spur)

    Minimum Requirements    

    Qualifications and Experience Requirements

    • Tertiary education, preferably in business or marketing qualifications
    • 3 years of experience in marketing or related field
    • Experience identifying and creating campaigns for target audience.
    • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel)
    • Restaurant experience/understanding of Franchise Operations advantageous.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    Build Relationships

    • Communicate with Operations and Franchisees to understand what is required and what information is needed. This includes following each job through from brief stage to completion.
    • Develop and maintain relationships with Franchisees and Operations and enhance communication between them and Group Marketing. Ensure consistent and accurate flow of information in both directions.
    • Conduct regular trade visits to Franchisees to build relationships and share information.
    • Understand the brief objectives with each local store marketing initiative to deliver suitable advertising.

    Local Store Process

    • Arrange cost estimates and have them approved by the Franchisee before starting production on any job.
    • Facilitate the design and production of POS, advertising and any other marketing and advertising material for local store marketing for Spur. Maintain an accurate workflow through Magnetic (a briefing tool), ensuring all jobs are timeously briefed in and tracked until completion. Timeously billing all jobs upon completion.
    • Ensure that all artwork designed is stored in their relevant allocations on server once completed.
    • Package and dispatch any marketing material kept at Head Office, or Spur decor to local stores when required.
    • Review / approval of social media content for restaurants on the GoReview / Go Social platforms.

    Asset Hub Content Management

    • Continuously check the Asset Hub platform for artwork that needs to be loaded or removed.
    • Liaise with the Asset Hub Manager on gaps in Asset hub content.

    Brief in any new artwork required.

    • Liaise with studio to create new, exciting content that franchisees can use proactively.
    • Liaise with the Spur local and brand team to ensure that all the latest content is being loaded.

    Internal Communication

    • Close co-operation with Production Manager, Traffic Manager and Designers ensuring all briefs are submitted professionally, complete with all relevant information for the design / traffic team to properly output the relevant task.
    • Communicate and keep informed with the rest of the Marketing team via status meetings to understand brand strategy and carry the message through to local store marketing.

    Shared Learnings

    • Conduct regular update meetings with Line Manager and National Operations Manager/Chief Operating Officer to understand successes and failures of campaigns to professionally roll out regional promotions and offers.

    Brand - General

    • Invoices: to be checked, signed, coded, and submitted timeously to allow for payment process to proceed without any holdups from Finance.
    • Magnetic Briefing System: ensure effective use to brief all jobs / inquiries to studio / production as well as ensuring that CEs are requested and billed timeously.
    • Operations: ensure an understanding of Spur operations to implement practical insights and learnings in all initiatives.    
    • Ensure that DSG is updated with relevant, timeous information about initiatives to ensure that the call center team can convey the correct information to inquiring customers.
    • Implement a discipline of regular visits to the website(s) to ensure that all initiatives are accurately portrayed.
    • Comply with company policies in terms of leave / out of office leave / telephone usage / travel claims.

    Marketing Manager Support

    • Adhoc requirements to further develop and grow the brand.
    • Administrative work may be required during peak times to help with the workload.
    • Keep up to date with competitor activity, promotional offerings, and pricing.
    • Brainstorm with the Spur Team to create innovative strategy, ideas, and campaigns for the brand.
    • Work closely with the Spur Marketing Manager to stay abreast with upcoming promotions, menu changes and general brand IP.

    Operations Manager (Specialty Brands)

    Minimum Requirements    

    • Grade 12
    • Tertiary Qualification in Business Management or similar( degree, diploma, or national certificate)
    • Studies in Hospitality – advantageous
    • Valid driver's license

    • 5years senior management experience in fine / casual dining
    • Hands on running of a restaurant - as an Operator focussing operations management - Front and Back of House 
    • Hands on Kitchen and Grill experience (meat cuts, food preparation etc)
    • In-depth understanding of procedures and general operation standards
    • In depth understanding of Menu engineering / Food cost principles
    • In depth understanding of procurement processes and procedures
    • Understanding Stock control in the restaurant environment
    • Production handovers and planning
    • Planning and Organising of employee shifts and resources
    • Understanding the complexities of Restaurant service - Front of House
    • Understandanding Financials - Budgets and Forecasts, Turnover, PL, Balance sheet etc
    • Understanding of the use of technology in the Restaurant environment and applying expertise to understand and use information to increase turnover, improve operational standards and performance
    • Understanding customer behaviour, managing and resolving customer requests, complaints etc
    • Understanding branding and marketing of a restaurant business and marketing principles
    • Training and development of all employees across all levels within the restaurant environment
    • Human Resources management (basic principles and legislative requirements
    • Knowledge of international trends
