    Future talent: Automation Engineer

    Job Summary

    Tetra Pak South Africa has an opening in Johannesburg for  Future Talent: Automation Engineer  to fill a rewarding and challenging role that will allow you freedom with accountability while working directly with our Projects team and customers. The successful candidate will work independently in project team with some coaching help from a colleague. Recommended to have a mentor.

    The successful candidates will report to the Manager Automation Engineering based in Cape Town.

    What you will do

    • Supporting the Market companies with developing automation strategies and executing automation projects.
    • Providing necessary technical support for the Africa cluster and service to our customers.
    • Reviewing electrical drawings, P&ID documents & process descriptions.
    • Providing support with pre projects costing, customer meetings, site evaluation, creation of scope documents.
    • Understanding the Tetra Pak Plant Master internal methodology and providing cost estimates for electrical & automation costing.
    • Understanding the S88 and S95 standards, PCS 7 experience will provide a great platform to be successful in role.
    • Creating of BOM for electrical and automation solutions.
    • Coordinating for electrical and automation items on SAP. 
    • Developing and commissioning of plant automation systems (hardware and software) as part of an overall production solution combined by process and automation.
    • Development of tools to enable system integrator support for rapid software engineering and hardware creation.
    • Technical support, commissioning and troubleshooting activities – remote and/or at site (Africa region).
    • Creating software design documents, prepare and perform FAT tests with end customers.
    • Development of IT hardware standards
    • Development of Virtual Environments

    We believe you have

    • BSC or BTech Degree in Electrical/Mechatronic/Computer Engineering.
    • Equivalent ND in Electrical/Mechatronic/Computer Engineering.
    • English language proficiency
    • Willingness to travel 50% of your working time

    Job Summary

    Tetra Pak® South Africa is looking for a driven and organized Marketing Intern (PERSON WITH A DISABILITY ONLY) for 12 months. 

    You will support the marketing team daily to ensure the delivery of an integrated customer marketing approach including products and services deployment across customers, as well as driving administrational tasks supporting the marketing function.

    Your key stakeholders are Marketing, Procurement, Communication, Sustainability, Key Account team, Processing and Services.

    The position is based in Bedfordview, Johannesburg.

    What you will do

    • Support the marketing functions various projects and tasks, for the department to be able to deliver a high-quality service to our customers in a fast and efficient way
    • Develop insights reports/presentations for customer meetings, based on both qualitative and quantitative data
    • Drive and deliver administrational tasks and deliver upon ad hoc customer queries
    • Support the marketing managers in the design and artwork process.
    • Handle sample requests
    • Support marketing and communications activities in collaboration with agencies
    • Raise purchase orders on internal ordering system
    • Support team with capturing meeting minutes, arranging meetings and events

    WCM Specialist

    Job Summary

    Tetra Pak South Africa is looking for a WCM (World Class Manufacturing) Specialist, to apply WCM knowledge and methodology to support the results in the respective factory, and work with and support WCM Manager and the pillar to achieve overall process and factory KPIs.

    The successful candidate will report to the WCM Manager based in Pinetown, Durban.

    What you will do

    • Administration support for WCM Manager and Pillar
    • Kaizen Teams and AM Team coaching and audits
    • WCM Promotion and skill building among operators
    • Benchmarking amongst Pillars
    • Data reports development and generation

    We believe you have

    • University Degree  in Industrial Engineering.
    • At least 2-3 years in WCM/ Production/ Maintenance/ Quality function as an engineer in factory WCM basic tools experiences, IT knowledge and experiences.
    • Experience in TPM Lean manufacturing.
    • Good communications skills 
    • Able to work in a team
    • Strong team player with good interpersonal skills.

    Maintenance Technician - Shift

    Job Summary

    Works on equipment maintenance including breakdowns. Maintain the machines as per AM/ PM logs & ensure proper equipment work during the shift and correct anomalies in case of breakdown. Perform preventive and corrective activities on equipment according to maintenance plans under the supervision of Maintenance Engineer.

    What you will do

    • Follow production safety rules. Work according to existing Procedures/ Standards
    • Receive and sort Spare Parts, Consumables/ Supplies as per SOP and 5S standards
    • Participate in regular Preventive Maintenance
    • Maintain MDM request. Base on Requests update Equipment tree in SAP
    • Works according to existing procedures/ Standards and Maintenance process:
    • Attend to breakdowns onsite ensuring a rapid response and that plant equipment and machine breakdown time is minimized
    • Participate as a member in Maintenance teams

    We believe you have

    • Trade Test Millwright or Diploma in Engineering/ Maintenance or 2-3 years’ experience in Maintenance/Spare Parts.
    • SAP basic knowledge WCM skills for breakdown/ Anomaly analysis 
    • Experience and skills in identifying Root Cause and develop countermeasures to address Machine technical knowledge
    • Production process knowledge is preferred
