    Mechanical Designer Level I

    MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB:

    • To prepare and complete Mechanical & Structural Engineering design function under supervision in terms of originality, ingenuity and judgement, and knowledge of more than one field of professional Mechanical & Structural Engineering.
    • The Mechanical & Structural Designer is responsible for the progress and quality of assigned tasks within the Mechanical Engineering discipline.
    • Carry out all Mechanical & Structural design work in accordance with agreed codes and practices that meets all requirements of the contract. Also, to ensure all work is carried out within agreed schedules, budgets and procedures as per the company Engineering Governance Standard.
    • To conduct design work under supervision and in accordance with Worley’s Management System (MS) and as per the requirements set out in the Worley’s Technical Stewardship Standard (TSS).
    • Must be able to work in both business lines (E&C) & (MMM)

    REQUIREMENTS OF THE JOB:

    • The minimum educational, qualifications and experience that are required to perform the job competently:

    Minimum Qualifications: 

    • A 2 or 3-year technical diploma with discipline specific training or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
    • Trained in leadership and project execution.
    • Membership of the SA Institute of Draughting a further advantage.

    Experience: 

    • Minimum of 3+ years of applicable post-qualification experience.
    • Experience in the Mining, Minerals and Chemicals, Hydrocarbons, Power and Resources Infrastructure industries essential, across operations, design and project execution roles.

    Senior Instrumentation Engineer

     PURPOSE OF JOB:

    • The Senior C&I Engineer shall lead Miscellaneous, Small and Large projects in the C&I Engineering function and/or support the Principal C&I Engineer / Lead C&I Engineer in managing C&I Engineering on projects. This requires independence in approach; it demands a considerable degree of originality, engineering ingenuity and judgement, and good knowledge of C&I engineering as demanded by the project.
    • The Senior C&I Engineer is responsible for the progress and quality of assigned tasks within the C&I Engineering discipline, including the supervision of C&I Engineers and Junior C&I Engineers.
    • The Senior C&I Engineer carries out all C&I engineering and design work in accordance with agreed codes and practices that meet all requirements of the contract and is responsible to ensure that all discipline work is carried out within agreed schedules, budgets and procedures as per the company Engineering Governance Standard.
    • The Senior C&I Engineer is responsible to conduct engineering and design work independently and in accordance with the Worley requirements set out in the Technical Stewardship Standard (TSS).

    REQUIREMENTS OF THE JOB:

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • BSc, BEng or BTech Electrical (Light Current) / Electronic Engineering from a recognised institute.
    • Registered as a Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) or Professional Engineering Technologist (Pr Tech Eng) with ECSA

    Principal Project Planner

    To support the project management team to execute projects on time, on budget, and to specification.
    To establish the project progress measurement system based on the nature of the project, while provide integration between the various planning systems (EcoSys & Schedule together with proper WBS & Coding structures) for projects.
    To guide the Planners & Schedulers to implement the system.
    To coordinate the activities of the planners & schedulers in the performance of their assigned tasks.
    To assist the Planning Department to meet all the criteria on the Planning charter.

    REQUIREMENT OF JOBS:

    Minimum  Qualifications: 

    • A university degree in engineering, or Technical NHD plus 5 years supervisory related project controls experience on major EPC projects.
    • Extensive technical and leadership training and project related seminars.

    Construction Quality Manager

    Job Specific Knowledge:        

    • Thorough understanding of the principles and practice of Quality Management and the implementation and improvement of management systems.
    • Has a good understanding of Mining engineering practices.
    • Experience in EPCM projects construction completion and handover of Multi Discipline work packages. Mining Experience would be advantageous.

    Industry Specific Experience:

    • Proven track record in Multidiscipline construction and handover. (Require References)
    • Personnel shall have the specified minimum project experience in process plants, mainly Oil & Gas or petrochemicals, and shall be knowledgeable of the applicable Engineering codes and standards.
    • Experience with Mining construction and handover knowledge including interfacing with other disciplines/discipline supervisors, i.e., Civil/Structural, Mechanical/Piping, Electrical and Controls and Instrumentation.

    Education – Qualifications, Accreditation, Training:            

    • Full-Time Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Civil or relevant Engineering from an accredited university will be advantages
    • Certified Level 2 Welding Inspectors
    • Non-destructive examination competency – Level 2 Magnetic Particle Testing and Dye Penetrant Testing (Radiographic Interpreters will be an advantage)
    • Certified ISO 9001:2015 QMS Lead Auditor (IRCA or equivalent)
