    Production Manager

    Requirements

    • National diploma with relevance to the position
    • Business English: Fluent
    • Code 08 Driver's license
    • Computer literacy (Advanced)
    • 5 – 10 years relevant experience in applying job related concepts, techniques and processes at the required level in Food Manufacturing
    • Knowledge or experience in Diary advantageous
    • People management experience
    • Work shifts/weekends/public holidays

    Duties and Responsibilities

    MANAGE PRODUCTION PROCESSES:       

    • Execute planning and scheduling
    • Compile and submit production reports
    • Manage quality, costs and the functionality of equipment
    • Manage the manufacturing process
    • Ensure housekeeping and good manufacturing practice

    MANAGE PRODUCTION PRODUCTIVITY:

    • Improve capacity utilisation and overall plant perfomance (OPP)
    • Manage lost time injury frequency rate (LTIFR)
    • Manage strike rate
    • Manage usage variance eg. AE, AM, AF
    • Manage SHE activities in production             

    MANAGE FIXED COST:   

    • Manage overtime, labour cost, electricity usage, water usage etc.
    • Compile annual fixed cost budget and report on deviations             

    MANAGE STAFF:             

    • Set objectives and manage performance
    • Ensure optimal utilisation of staff
    • Apply consistent discipline
    • Train and develop staff
    • Conduct meetings and ensure effective communication to all
    • Liaise and communicate with management in all departments
    • Implement and maintain Way Better teams

    Artisan: Assistant

    Requirements

    • Grade 12 or equivalent NQF4 
    • Business English: Fluent 
    • Travel off-site/ overnight stay 
    • Work shifts/weekends/public holidays 
    • Code 10 motor vehicle license 
    • Computer literacy (Basic) 
    • Electrical experience
    • Experience in working with senior management 
    • Work in confined spaces

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Provide support to Artisan  
    • Prepare equipment for repairs  
    • Clean equipment after repairs  
    • Move heavy equipment  
    • Perform civil and semi-skilled tasks  
    • Perform: carpentry, brick laying, painting and welding tasks as well as basic office repairs  
    • Clean cooling towers  
    • Assists with disassembling, inspecting, cleaning, repairing, testing, and installing electromechanical devices, controls, contacts, switches, and other electrical equipment and components.
    • Assists with installing and/or maintaining lighting fixtures, plug socket outlets and air conditioning (HVAC) equipment.
    • Perform basic inspections
