    APC Engineer

    WHAT YOU WILL DO

    • Implement and oversee APC systems and advanced sensing systems, ensuring client satisfaction through meticulous project execution and support
    • Monitor and analyse plant data and APC system performance remotely and provide actionable insights to improve operations
    • Develop and conduct training programs for clients to ensure optimal use of APC technology
    • Design, configure, install, and commission APC and vision systems both remotely and on-site
    • Collaborate with global APC teams to manage projects effectively, including planning, communication, documentation, and invoicing
    • Frequent travel to client sites in the Africa, Middle and Middle East & India regions, and globally as necessary, to meet project requirements and client needs
    • Support customers directly as a Project Manager on critical projects, establishing and maintaining strong professional relationships

    WHO YOU ARE

    • Matric (Grade 12)
    • Possess a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering, Mineral Processing, Electrical Engineering/Process Control, or a related field
    • Have a minimum of 8 years of experience in mineral processing or APC, with a robust knowledge of APC technologies and systems
    • Experienced in dynamic constraint control, crisp and fuzzy logic programming, and other relevant APC applications
    • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to manage projects independently and collaborate effectively across diverse teams
    • Willingness to travel frequently, especially within the AFR and MEI regions, to engage directly with clients and operational sites

    Quotation and Order Management Specialist

    WHAT YOU WILL DO

    • Provide excellent response to end users and sales managers when taking purchase orders and answering requests for pricing, delivery, product and technical information
    • Process customer inquiries, proposals, and enter orders accurately and in a timely manner, clean quotation, and sales order entry
    • Prepare customer quotations based on application, specifications, costs, and pricing guidelines
    • Accumulates costs of parts via computer system history, inquiries to purchasing and/or production estimating department and estimating costs based on experience with similar/same type of parts
    • Evaluates vendor quotes and shop cost estimates
    • Establish selling prices of parts based on previous history, evaluation of customer, evaluation of the market, and company objective margin
    • Responsible to expedite all activities on proposals through daily communication with Purchasing, Engineering, Production, Shipping and Accounting to meet the customer’s requirements
    • Administers order entry of customer purchase order and provides required back up information to all other departments involved in the order execution
    • Establish and maintain a good company image within territory by providing exceptional customer service, a professional attitude and up-to-date product knowledge
    • Participate in establishment of pricing strategies and customer negotiations
    • Resolve order related problems, discrepancies, and customer-related issues working with sales and product support teams
    • Accountable for order backlog management of customers/territories assigned which includes also working with different departments to have orders delivered on time to customers
    • Demonstrate cooperative team effort within the solutions group and the team
    • Position requires excellent customer relations skills, ability to work within a team environment, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work in a very fast paced environment
    • Improve efficiency of on-time delivery
    • Demonstrates dependability and punctuality
    • Observes safety regulations and exhibits a concern for safety
    • Shows commitment to quality ethics and focuses on meeting the needs and expectation of both the internal and external customers

    WHO YOU ARE

    • Matric (Grade 12)
    • High school diploma or equivalent work experience
    • 2-5 years’ experience in a customer service or similar role
    • SAP experience

    WHAT YOU WILL DO

    • Identify components
    • Allocate reference numbers
    • Open repairs receive form

    Open notification

    • Evaluate component to determine scope for strip process
    • Various vendors, will be required to visit Vendors
    • Strip instructions to Vendors
    • Evaluate through std agreed rates strip/clean/inspection cost with Vendors
    • Receives inspection reports from Vendors
    • Evaluate reports/ identify correct BOM for each component
    • Send all documents for repair scope and planning
    • Manage and control of documents

    WHO YOU ARE

    • Matric (Grade 12)
    • Qualified artisan, fitting or turning would be an advantage
    • Microsoft office skills
    • SAP & RMS knowledge would be an advantage
    • Minimum 5 years in manufacturing environment
    • Valid driver’s license
