Job Description
As an Associate Threat Response Analyst you will be joining the Mimecast Messaging Security organization and be responsible for supporting a service for on-demand threat resolution. The service is designed to provide customers with prompt feedback and intelligence on email-borne threats, remediate these threats from their email environment to reduce dwell time, and put the appropriate detections in place to prevent further incidents from occurring. The role may require working afternoon/evening shifts and being part of a rotation for holiday support.
Messaging Security ensures that our security-focused solutions are performing accurately and efficiently. We verify that Mimecast can detect the latest email-borne threats amidst a rapidly evolving threat landscape. Through threat research and customer feedback we identify where Mimecast can be improved and update detection at our spam, URL, and attachment security layers. We strive for proactive, rather than reactive, approaches to threat detection.
The team is also responsible for assuring that Mimecast maintains an exceptional sending reputation by looking for compromised email addresses and senders following poor mailing practice.
Messaging Security works closely with research and development, as well as customer support. We are a global team that spans six different countries and five continents.

We're looking for an exceptional customer centric individual with a solid technical background and sharp troubleshooting skills to provide support for the Mimecast Platform to IT Administrators as well as account based support to standard business contacts and Partners. As a Customer Support Associate Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting customers who implement and use Mimecast in their day-to-day roles. You will field requests related to both Technical and Account Support from product features and troubleshooting to contract information and service changes. In the role you will cover our customers globally between the hours of 6am – 10pm as part of a regular shift pattern

In this role you will drive systematic operational processes into the organization to reduce attack surface and validate the efficacy of existing security tooling. Generating situational awareness into process outcomes and technical capabilities the role will highlight the key levers of cyber security improvement and in doing so ensure that Mimecast continues to operate within its cyber risk appetite.
Enhanced situational awareness is the primary objective this role. Understanding the key drivers of successful outcomes, defining value chains and tracking appropriate metrics are essential. You'll support the definition of value chains using methods such as Wardley Mapping, collate telemetry and produce performance and risk indicators using statistical and probabilistic methods.
