We provide an API which allows third-party apps and websites to interact with their user's bank accounts in ways that unlocks the ability for companies across Africa to build innovative technology products quickly.

Responsibilities
Partnering with our leadership team and managers on all things people-related, including professional development, performance reviews, employee relations & human resources, organizational / team development, and talent acquisition
Build a grow a high-EQ, low-ego HR & people team that grows with the business over time across its various markets
Help enable our technical recruiting team and develop a comprehensive recruiting strategy to attract, retain and motivate top talent
Work with team members and recruiters to structure and scale a fantastic employee onboarding experience
Oversee our various facilities and office resources, ensuring that our offices can scale with the needs of the company
Preserve and evolve our unique culture into something that scales with our business over time
Requirements
5+ years in a highly people or team-oriented role - HR, business operations, consulting, etc.
Prior experience working with high-growth businesses in a start-up environment
Prior experience managing teams either as a direct supervisor or as a player-coach, managing without authority
Hold a relevant degree or equivalent practical experience with proof of HR-related qualifications and experiences in best practice
Needs to find handling complex interpersonal matters energizing and fulfilling, as this will be an entirely internally facing role
Advantageous
Experience working in B2B SaaS, API or Payments companies, and particularly leading People Operations teams
Strong knowledge of our customers in various key markets - including South Africa, Nigeria, Kenya, and Ghana
Prior exposure in working in a multi-market or global business with distributed team footprint
Prior experience in starting or expanding global branches or offices of an existing core business
Prior experience with technical recruiting and engineering talent acquisition

We're looking to hire an experienced Finance Manager to accelerate our growth. The ideal candidate will crave working in a fast-paced environment, and operate as a systems-level thinker to lay the groundwork for (and eventually build) a professionalized finance function.
At the outset, this individual will primarily function as an individual contributor (IC) working with our out-of-house accountants to manage our day-to-day finances and enable best-practice accounting in each of our various revenue markets. It is the expectation, however, that this individual will have the opportunity to grow out a team of analysts and financial accountants to support the function as the business scales.
Responsibilities
With the Chief Operating Officer, lead the day-to-day financial operations within the company (including payroll, accounts management, invoicing, and other transactions)
Build out prototypes of Accounts, Treasury Management, Strategic Finance / Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) functions
Prepare monthly and quarterly management reporting, including recons and relevant forecasts
Partner with senior management in identifying and maintaining a budget and pro-forma forecast of business performance
Establish financial control mechanisms to enable adherence to the budget as the team scales
Manage the company's financial accounting, monitoring and reporting systems across its markets, including completion of annual statutory financial statements
Support fundraising documentation and/or diligence requirements when and as necessary
Ensure compliance with international accounting policies and regulatory requirements

Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting
Qualified accountant (with internationally recognized accounting qualification) with at least 3 - 5 years post-qualification experience
Excellent awareness of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), and applicability of standards and accounting measures across multiple markets
Strong analytics toolkit, including fluency in GSheets / Excel and GSlides / Powerpoint to visualise financial outcomes
A track record of building or leading finance functions, including any of those mentioned above (Accounts, Treasury Management, Strategic Finance, FP&A)
Advantageous
Experience working in a high-growth startup operating across multiple markets
Experience working in parent / group accounting structures
Interest in or prior experience with financial technology or software-as-a-service (SaaS) businesses and their revenue / cost structures
Knowledge of specialised financial reporting and data mining tools such as SQL, Access, etc.
