    Snr Specialist: Public Sector Business Dev

    Core Description    

    • Responsible for delivery on the Openserve business development activities within the public sector including national, provincial and local government spheres. 
    • Build relationships and partnership opportunities to enable participation of Openserve in the connectivity activities of the public sector.
    • Development of public sector customer engagement and governance framework to support the strategy for Openserve in public sector ICT initiatives
    • Actively grow Openserve presence and business opportunity participation in the public sector segment
    • Manage strategic customer accounts and nurture relationships for thepurposes of serving customer requirements and growing account revenue
    • Monitor and evaluate industry trends, customer requirements and technological changes whilst regularly assessing alignment to Openserve business and commercial strategy
    • Manage proposal response process, including detailed RFP requirements, content creation, and inputs from various sources
    • Generate new leads, identify, and contact decision-makers, screen potential business opportunities, select deals in line with strategies, and facilitate pitch logistics
    • Support deal structure and pricing with business-value analysis, and negotiate prices for proactive bids and proposals

    Specialist: Technology Introduction

    Core Description    

    • Responsible for the introduction and commissioning of new telecommunications technologies, systems and services. This includes POTN, Network Elements and technology lifecycle access. Required to provide high-level technical advice for the public telecommunications network, technologies and services and associated IT support systems, as well as high-level technical contribution to strategic, commercial and operational objectives. May also be responsible for high-level advice concerning technical consequences of telecommunications-related laws and regulations.

    Job Responsibilities    

    • Responsible for the Introduction and commissioning of new telecommunications technologies, systems and service (100%)
    • Responsible for medium to large complex projects comprising the integration of systems and solutions with public telecommunications network infrastructure and associated IT support systems
    • Compile technical proposals, technical specifications, tender evaluations, vendor negotiations, equipment evaluation and type approvals, network and system capacity dimensioning, inter-working and integration
    • Retain high-level operational support responsibilities for large-scale technology deployments, regarding fault analysis and reporting, simulations and system dimensioning
    • Retain high-level operational maintenance and support responsibilities for small-scale, centralized or complex technology deployments
    • Specify, develop, test & implement new telecommunication services & enhancements to services
    • Compile work instructions, work procedures and vendor support agreements
    • Directly liaise with other departments, up to and including executive level Core Compe

    Snr Specialist: Corporate Compliance

    Core Description    

    • Responsible to assist the board, management, and appropriate staff members in discharging their responsibility to comply with applicable compliance obligations through the provision of compliance risk management services, based on the development of an efficient risk-based compliance methodology and plan, aligned with the enterprise-wide risk management framework.

    Job Responsibilities    

    • Develop a compliance strategy that enables the compliance function to plan for future events, including the process of how to achieve the identified goals in line with the enterprise risk management strategy
    • Establish and maintain effective compliance governance structures, practices and methodologies
    • Draft and maintain compliance-related policies, frameworks and guidelines and obtain governance approval
    • Identify relevant internal and external stakeholders and understand and consider their needs and interests

    Specialist: RINP

    Core Description    

    • Responsible for the compilation and maintenance of aligned NMPs for the Regional Switched Circuit Network (SCNet) and/or, TMNet and/or Regional Core Transport Network and/or Synchronisation Distribution Network and/or Access Network and/or Non-Voice Network and/or Energy and/or Fibre Network and/or Facilities and/or International Network. The incumbent is also responsible for the compilation and auditing of the Core Network dimensioning plan, modernisation plan, numbering plan, topology, routing, and rollout plans of CN Master Plans.
