    Media Director, South Africa Franchise

    What You will Do for Us:

    • Lead the development of connections plans across brands/campaigns, recommending allocation of activation Direct Marketing Expense to different consumer / shopper touchpoints.
    • Step-change the way we think (and act) about connections and media by bringing more science to the planning and execution phases (e.g. ROI, data, …), shifting from a “Consumer x Shopper centric” approach to a “people centric” (onmi) approach, and truly leveraging the OESP philosophy
    • Step change how we think and use different forms of media to connect better with our consumers.
    • Ensure we have the most effective and efficient media plans for our brands across all markets within Africa, out-performing versus competitors in all brand program Key Performance Indicators.
    • Coordinate media buying with Marketing Platform Services (procurement), making sure The Coca-Cola Company is performing an efficient buying and receiving maximum value out of the negotiations.
    • Control media investment (real vs planned), approving the Agency buying orders, shifts and invoices and recommending corrective actions when necessary.  Preparing budget evolution information (real vs. planned investment) and revising and approving the media buying POs sent Agency and Media.
    • Recommend the ideal Direct Marketing Investment split by brand and channel to all our portfolio of brands.
    • Constantly checking and reporting to status of our brand presence and performance in the various media types: e.g., Copy Rotation, productivity etc.
    • Partner with Platform Services to track and evolve the existing media and digital measurement discipline, ensuring maximum utilization of existing protocols and tools, and leveraging learnings for each of the markets within Africa.
    • Execute local media buying that cannot be bought at Africa level (through Marketing procurement)
    • Lead the auditing processes with media-related questions.
    • Work in partnership with Front-line and bottlers to ensure that we are capturing the right opportunities in each one of the countries within Africa.
    • Lead the development and management of the real-time amplification of our brands (calendar, content, and media), connecting with Platform Services for the social listening pillar, and with creative strategy and other Integrated Marketing Experience functions for local content development.
    • Ensure that we have one presence, one voice and one calendar for our brands in all the various social media channels, that are connected to global strategies and guidelines as well as relevant to Africa.
    • Work in close collaboration with Platform Services to ensure the social media cycle (listen-speak-react-amplify) is being followed to enriched to deliver the right conversation at the right time to the right consumer/shopper.
    • Establish a routine with the crisis management team to solve potential issues in social media in a timely manner.
    • Lift and shift best practices from other Operating units and global teams in how to establish an effective and efficient media social media plans. Implement a single way-of-approaching media and social withing Africa.
    • Leverage all the potential synergies in the media planning and negotiation within Africa
    • The Media Director is a knowledgeable and thought leader in the areas of Media Beliefs, Media Productivity and Social media activation. He/she will be the main contact point with all the media and social media vehicles and platforms withing Africa
    • He/she is a key player in the integrated marketing experience team, understanding the consumer/shopper and the competitive landscape and defining strategies and tactics to better connect with each brand’s audience.

    Role Requirement

    • Bachelor’s degree
    • Significant marketing, media, and leadership experience (15+ years)
    • Direct experience with media strategy, planning and negotiation, as well as social media channels
    • Preference for individuals that have worked in agencies and/or media vehicles in the past
    • Experience working with marketing in the field is preferred.
    • Experience working in cross-functional and cross-geographical teams is preferred.
    • Developing and ensuring implementation of multiple activities needed to reach targets.
    • Leading strategic conversations, negotiations, and alignment with senior and key stakeholders
    • Ability to provide input to brand & creative strategy at Africa level, and Integrated Marketing Experience strategies at global level.
    • Deep understanding of the evolved media landscape
    • Expertise in working with different external partners (i.e.: agencies, production houses, media companies, influencers)
    • High ability to control big media budgets at an Africa level.
    • Ability to work in Agile cross-functional teams.
    • Ability to lead and develop a diverse, multi-geography team

    Consultant, Digital Product

    Position Overview:

    The Coca-Cola Company is looking for a Product Analyst- Digital to implement technologies/solutions/products across the operating unit to drive growth objectives. This role will lead the co-development and execution of the assigned product portfolio with operating unit leaders across Africa. This role will work and collaborate cross functionally with various stakeholders and project team members that includes our bottling partners. Will be part of cross functional teams of product, technology, and subject matter experts to deliver projects and programs.

    Qualifications & Requirements: 

    • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent required (Information Systems, Computer Science, Digital, etc.)
    • 5+ years’ experience in implementing Customer and Execution solutions, products or platforms; technology;
    • Working knowledge of Agile tools (e.g. JIRA, Azure DevOps, etc.) and methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) is preferred
    • Working knowledge of process modelling and visualization tools, example: Figma, Visio, Mural, etc.
    • Good communication and collaboration skills
    • Product management and agile delivery methodologies experience preferred
    • Preferably experience of Consumer Packaged Goods industry, preferably in the areas of Marketing technologies (AEP, AEM etc.), Ecommerce, Digital shelf or Omnichannel advantageous

    Senior Director, Commercial Execution Excellence, South Africa

    Position Overview:

    The key Commercial Partner for the Franchise & Bottling System in South Africa. Lead the integration of the Commercial Strategy & Levers into our End-to-End process, plans and strategies within the Franchise to deliver joint System Value. Being the key Commercial System protagonist and partner driving transformative strategic commercial thought leadership. Key partner with Frontline Marketing to ensure commercial integration into marketing Plans.

    What You Will Do For Us:

    • Be the Key Commercial Franchise System partner for Commercial End-to-End Integration within the Franchise. 
    • Lead & drive the integration of Commercial Execution Excellence and End to End Strategy & Plan with the Franchise & Bottling System. Be the Commercial Thought Leader and Integrator for the Franchise (overall CCL representative, connecting dots, representing bottler pain points/capabilities).
    • Lead the development of the Commercial LRP for the Franchise and partners on quarterly topline commercial priorities. Represent the Commercial Agenda for the Franchise in Group System Forums.
    • Lead the overall Value to Market Strategy & alignment for the Franchise (Be Cold, Be There & Be Perfect).
    • Provide Commercial input and approval of all Marketing Campaigns & Picture of Success. Ensure Commercial priorities integration into the marketing plans & processes.
    • Partner with Center of Excellence to leverage and build the Partnership Program Strategy & Plan, within the Market Provide commercial input in the Revenue Growth processes & routines.

    Qualifications and Experience:

    • 10+ years of leadership experience in Commercial with strong skills in Commercial and Channel Strategy, Revenue growth management, Segmentation, Route to market, Negotiation etc.
    • Proven track record of execution excellence
    • Proven strategic and analytical skills as well as outstanding interpersonal, communication and influencing abilities.
    • Desirable to have candidates with Bottling System/Franchise and/or Commercial experience.
    • This role requires very solid System acumen and business dimensions – combined with the ability to collaborate and partner to deliver strong results in the marketplace. Highly developed leadership and influencing skills are a must to positively influence Operations, Customers and Bottlers
    • To succeed, the role requires a strong combination of analytical and strategic thinking capabilities, strong Consumer- and Commercial understanding, as well as a hands-on mentality.
    • The role will be wired closely in a networked approach with Senior Leaders and Operators in the Operating Units Customer & Commercial Leadership as well as our Customers and Bottling Partners.
    • Ability to drive cross-functional support and cross-system alignment, not least leading and smoothly running execution alignment and collaboration to ensure that OU strategies are fully owned by General Managers

    Communication Focus

    • Communicate with internal stakeholders and key Customers and Bottling partners at Senior Levels
    • Internal: Interfaces Customer & Commercial Leadership with Franchise Leadership at the Zones at various levels of the organization
    • System: Communication to support Franchise Leadership on Commercial &Customer Leadership strategies/capabilities alignment and implementation, Franchise & Bottling System strategic direction/ priorities and performance with Bottler senior leaders
    • External: Communicating with senior leaders of major customers, key advisors and other stakeholders to progress and successfully deliver on key business development initiatives at the Zone
