    SEA BPC Shopper Marketing Assistant

    MAIN JOB PURPOSE:

    The role of this is to drive shopper based thought leadership to internal and external stakeholders. This includes execution of the shopper component of brand marketing/customer and category plans.

    JOB SUMMARY

    The Shopper Marketing Assistant will work closely with the Brand team and agencies as well as the Channel & Category, E-Commerce and Trade Category Teams. Other key relationships will be with the Customer Management team (for Retailer engagement) and Unilever Field Sales (for execution) to effectively deliver activations, innovations and customer collaborations.

    • Drive shopper thought leadership that increases, develops and sustains Unilever and Category growth opportunities.
    • Drive Shopper Mission and Shopper/Channel understanding in all plans, activations, and innovations that deliver long-term consumer behavior change, incremental sales and build brand equity.
    • Leads execution of shopper based plans that are rooted in shopper and consumer insights aligned to brand/category objectives.
    • Work closely with key internal / external stakeholders to execute shopper marketing activities against key objectives.
    • Adopt, Adapt and implement Global Best Practice of point of sale (POS) material to deliver best in class POS that delivers value for the retailer, is shopper based and drives incremental sales.
    • Ensure “best in class” executional excellence of Shopper Marketing Plans through clear briefs to internal and external executional teams.
    • Clear brief to field team on all execution of the instore activities
    • Manage activity budgets
    • Lead a rigorous and transparent post-evaluation analysis of specific activations, initiatives that guide the business on its success based on agreed KPIs.
    • Shopper marketing planning- Developing plans that drive shopper strategy
    • Shopper engagement – working with customers and agencies to create and execute shopper programs
    • Shopper impact Evaluating and learning from SM programs
    • Shopper insight – knowing shoppers and shopping and translating it into action

     KEY REQUIREMENTS

    • Degree/ Diploma
    • Minimum 3 years relevant Customer or Marketing experience
    • Account management/Consumer Insights and experience outside FMCG is an advantage

    Market Collaboration Planner Site Lead Lordsview

    Main Job Purpose:

    This role is the main interface between the L2 Planning Hub and the Market (L1) for supply planning, collaborating with the operations teams and L1 Execution Planners to ensure L1 plans are adopted and service levels and working capital targets are met. The Market Collaboration Planner will be the Planning contact point for the Market on Supply and Innovation for the category, with a short to medium term planning focus.

    Key Accountabilities:

    Supply:

    • Ensure that any critical information from Sales and Operations teams in Market required to create executable plans are shared with the Hub
    • Ensure monthly Finished Goods supply plan is in line with agreed demand plan and month end FG stocks for the category
    • Drive acceptance of supply plans, ensuring adoption by Sales and Operations teams
    • Drive plan effectiveness over short to medium term
    • Responsible for the following planning inputs from the Market into S&OP: end to end supply planning (local, 3P, imports) and resultant stock availability at MSO for the 0 – 24-month horizon
    • Recommend parameter changes from L2 and liaise with Sales and Operations teams to get these approved
    • Alongside the Demand Planner, responsible for the supply and demand reconciliation process being in place and is a key member of S&OP ‘Shape’ meeting
    • Actively support the Demand Fulfilment Manager on the preparation of the S&OP, and contribute bringing insights and recommendations when required
    • Identify potential bottlenecks on finished goods production, and propose ways to resolve them at optimal cost
    • Review the rough cut capacity planning for the category to ensure that customer service, stock and cost (working capital and factory recoveries) requirements are met through S&OP ‘Supply’ meeting
    • Responsible for Supply inputs to Regional Demand Supply Reconciliation process
    • Integrate supply chain constraints into the current month’s operational forecast through the S&OP process
    • The Market Collaboration Planner will be the first Planning contact point for the Market on Supply and Innovation, with an operational day-to-day planning focus
    • First point of escalation for trade off decisions outside of the Hub’s level of authority; For Imports, this responsibility is executed in close co-operation with & full support of, the Imports/Exports Team

    Service:

    • Drive integrated activities with the broader supply chain and customer teams as well as through collaboration both internally and externally to ensure customer service requirements are understood and met
    • Responsible for the overall stock availability for the category
    • Responsible for joint projects to improve responsiveness and flexibility
    • Drive resolution of short-term constraints for SKUs shared between export and local for the category (export specific SKUs will be managed by factory scheduler / export hub)
    • Update monthly Service Loss Tree
    • Oversee monthly Service Review (performance vs plan, update fcst YTG) and sign-off with Demand Fulfilment Manager

    Working Capital Management:

    • Drive improvements on working capital recommended by L2 Inventory Optimisation Specialist including inventory holding policy change in order to meet customer service level targets
    • Own and manage the finished goods obsolete and excessive stock.  Raise and manage provisions in accordance with policy. Own the stock cover line for total forward supply view (weeks 0 – 52), balancing service levels and costs appropriately
    • Ensure accurate stocks forecast is in place for category(ies)
    • Responsible for inventory DOH for the category
    • Responsible for updating monthly Inventory Loss Tree
    • Oversee monthly Working Capital Review (performance vs plan, update fcst YTG) and sign-off with Demand Fulfilment Manager

    Business Waste:

    • Manage and update weekly Business Waste projections
    • Oversee monthly Business Waste Review (performance vs plan, update fcst YTG) and sign-off with Demand Fulfilment Manager
    • Responsible for updating monthly Business Waste Loss Tree
    • Work with Execution Planner to close actions on waste prevention for Finished Goods and Packing and Raw Materials
    • Input into Distribution Network Capacity Planning:
    • Provide input (pallet holding) to the distribution team to ensure that customer service level and financial targets are met
    • Work closely with distribution to understand outbound network constraints and liase with the appropriate planning teams (site and third party) to overcome short term constraints

    Innovation:

    • Monitoring that innovation plan is on track as per agreed stock cover
    • Point of contact to cross-functional business teams aftermarket ready gate

    Reporting:

    • Review daily the performance of the current month and provide feedback to the Demand Fulfilment Manager

    Exception Management:

    • Sign-off and escalate exceptions to Demand Fulfilment Manager
    • Professional Skills & Standards of Leadership:
    • Future fit planning skills is an advantage (Supply Chain and planning Mastery; Leading for growth and High performance)
    • Tertiary degree with Supply Chain and/ or Business Management is preferred. An engineering degree will also be considered, with experience in the general supply chain being an advantage
    • Further studies in supply chain, including a APICS/SAPICS qualification, would be beneficial
    • A good understanding of, and the use of SAP is essential
    • Planning and functional business process knowledge
    • Strong Business Acumen
    • Business partnering experience
    • Excellent communication skills and ability to influence stakeholders to achieve results

    • They must be restless for excellence and must pro-actively pursue opportunities for improvement and be able to take a broad base of the business with them
    • Working knowledge of S&OP
    • Understanding of “Make” and “Source” processes

    PP – Unit Manager Manufacturing & Pre – Weigh

    MAIN JOB PURPOSE:

    To ensure the production and packaging of company products, according to the production plan and within company’s quality and safety standards.

    JOB SUMMARY:

    • Agrees and implements production plan with production manager. Support, guide and direct within the production plan. (e.g. if a production line breaks down, prioritise production requirements and re-allocates labour accordingly).
    • Analyses shift results and implements any necessary changes to increase production.
    • Ensures that quality standards are implemented and adhered to and diagnoses plant problems (fault finding) and liaises with Engineering Foreman for plant repairs and interprets fault finding to optimise production. Ensure that shift repairs and maintenance is carried out by the Team Leaders and operators to reduce the impact of downtime
    • Conduct daily production meetings with the different production disciplines to analyse previous shift results and implements any necessary changes to meet demand.
    • Responsible for ensuring sufficient staff and adequate raw materials.
    • Identifies causes and costs of waste, contamination and inefficiencies and takes appropriate action to reduce these amounts. Monitor and reduce wastes such as product, raw materials, packaging, steam, air, water and electricity.
    • Application of mass balance for Raw material usage control. Understanding of SAP system to conduct Stock take activities and daily SAP compliance activities.
    • Monitors and ensures adherence to Company standards and SOP’s. Ensures that Plant is maintained in a high level of engineering, cleaning and Safety standard.
    • Implements total productive maintenance to improve PQCDSMI (Production, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Safety, Morale, and Innovation) to deliver against set Factory targets
    • Implement recommendations from SHE, Quality or engineering. Ensures responsible management of SHE, Quality and Engineering using the SHE, Quality and Engineering Teams as Subject Matter Experts.

    Operational Systems: Ensure that all employees adhere to the operational systems standards (SAP, Time keeper, ABC quality, ESS, Clock cards etc) and manages the business processes defined within these operational systems.

    • Identifies reasons for staff non-conformance (e.g. training required, managing poor performance, refusal to obey lawful instruction, absenteeism) and takes appropriate action.
    • Monitors processes and changes and ensures that corrective action has been taken in the event of a non-conformance
    • Co-ordinates the implementation of WCM (World Class Manufacturing)principles in the factory

    Safety: As a section 16.2 appointee is required to ensure that the OHS act and company SHE regulations and standards are implemented and adhered to within the sphere of his/her responsibilities.

    • Takes corrective action in the case of non-compliance as per the Section 16.2 requirements
    • Prepares for quarterly and annual Audits
    • Ensures adequate level compliance with the said policies, procedures and standards to meet all certification requirements at any given time.
    • Ensures Business and Factory strategy for Safety is executed at a tactical level

    Cost Management: Drives a cost-conscious culture

    • Monitors and ensures MUC losses and conversion cost losses are eliminated against budgets.
    • Ensures budget constraints are complied with and variances are actioned
    • Identifies sources of waste and takes action to minimise waste.
    • Monitors Rand per Ton costs and shares info with teams
    • Monitor and Control sundry costs such as PPE, telephone, tearoom etc.

    People Development: Identify training gaps for subordinates based on losses/ business need and execute plan together with HR/Training to close them

    • Develop Personal Development Plans for subordinates and monitor progress

    Industrial Relations: Initiates disciplinary action/enquiries and recommends dismissals.

    • Resolve conflicts within immediate team and facilitates conflict resolution within subordinate teams
    • Builds and maintains levels of trust with the Union Leadership and Shop Floor to facilitate win/win situations
    • Eliminates industrial action

    Training and development: Performance management and Human Resources coordination

    • Projects Management and re-engineering project management. Manage ad hoc projects related to continuous improvements as detailed in PDP targets

    KEY REQUIREMENTS:

    • Completed Minimum N.D in Engineering or Supply Chain
    • *Must have both Making and Packaging experience
    • *Must have optimisation experience
    • Strong leadership and management experience of a large team who work shifts
    • Sound strategic and operational Production management experience
    • Budget and cost reduction experience
    • Expert project management experience
    • Compilation of training manuals, coordinate and facilitate training
    • Strong Industrial Relations experience, this must be in a unionized environment right through to CCMA
    • Support, guide and drive OHS and SHE regulations and standards and ensure compliance
    • Manage multiple stakeholders and numerous re-engineering projects
    • Knowledge and understanding of the following will be an advantage:
    • WCM (World Class Manufacturing)
    • High precision packaging robots
