    Operational Specialist: Customer Acquisition

    Role Purpose

    • The primary responsibility of this role is to oversee the effective resolution of IT system and process defects from cradle to grave with the secondary responsibility of the implementation of new products, processes and services affecting the customer acquisition process; and effectively manage IT and non-IT projects impacting the Customer Acquisition functional area. 

    Your responsibilities will include:

    • To implement, monitor, oversee and resolve bugs and defect queries found within the Customer Acquisitions functional area
    • Provide root cause analysis on IT and business process defects, in collaboration with internal and IT stakeholders
    • Development of SQL reports in order to monitor post implementation results and to assist with the ongoing business reporting requirements
    • To perform standby duties for pre and post deployment validation and sanity checks during IT Customer Acquisition deployments
    • To facilitate and implement IT and business projects impacting the customer acquisition process
    • To provide strategic input into any projects impacting Customer Acquisition and Credit & Risk
    • To facilitate the resolution of IT support issues affecting Customer Acquisition systems and processes
    • To assist in user acceptance testing of new IT and business solutions implemented in the Customer Acquisition functional area
    • To generate relevant management reports and to interpret information contained herein, in order to make proactive recommendations to management with regards to business opportunities for overall business improvement
    • Participate in project planning and prioritization in conjunction with central demand.
    • Participate as the liaison: credit business partner between sales, external vendors and other functional area’s within Vodacom.
    • To ensure the proper SDLC and project management methodologies are followed in providing solutions to the functional area as well as drafting and development of business reporting for monitoring purposes
    • To engage with management within Vodacom and external parties on IT and business projects impacting the customer acquisition process.
    • To manage business relationships with customers and suppliers pertaining matters relating to customer acquisition processes.
       

    The ideal candidate for this role will have:

    • Matric essential.
    • ITIL foundation.
    • Advanced SQL/SAS or Python.
    • Relevant  degree / diploma in the field of Business Analysis OR at least 4 years working experience in the telecommunications industry.
    • At least 2 years working in an environment similar to Customer Acquisitions or Credit and Risk.
    • At least 4 years of operational/application support experience with 3 years of technical Business Analysis experience.
    • At least 3 years working with SQL or  similar database query tools.
    • Reporting writing with SQL experience.
    • Business analysis experience (SDLC).
    • Microsoft Office Applications expert knowledge of Excel.

    Senior Specialist: Legal Compliance Reviews (Financial Services)

    Role Purpose:

    • To assist the compliance function in ensuring that Vodacom Group and its subsidiary companies are compliant with all applicable laws, regulations and rules; and all company policies, codes and standards; by providing assurance that effective and efficient controls, systems and processes are in place to manage risks and address applicable requirements.
       

    Your responsibilities will include:

    Conducting audits/reviews efficiently and effectively in accordance with the audit and review plan to identify and report on significant legal control weaknesses within the Company.  

    This includes audit and review planning, preparation, execution and reporting.

    • Identifying good business practice across Vodacom, Vodacom subsidiaries and International African Companies.
    • Identifying, recommending and implementing operational improvements to the legal compliance review processes.
    • Clearing audit and review findings and closing out of audit actions with all levels of management in the organization.
    • Prioritise and analyse laws and regulations applicable to the Vodacom group of companies including all African operations

    • Matric or SAQA accredited equivalent qualification (Essential).

    • Minimum of 5 years auditing Legal compliance experience with focus on financial services.

    Senior Specialist MPESA Forensic Analyst

    Role Purpose:

    • To supervise and conduct knowledge management on the operational systems.

    Your responsibilities will include:

    • Act as a technical consultant for fraud investigations.
    • To manage and lead fraud related projects within the Vodacom Markets.

    To manage the Corporate Key VGE Vodacom Business credit collection portfolio and ensure that the accounts are paid when due.

    Cloud DataOps Engineer

    Role Purpose

    The Cloud DataOps Engineer role based within the Technology Business Unit.

    • The Cloud DataOps Engineer is to be a cross-functional person responsible for preparing data ingestion pipelines, implementing monitoring and defining and implementing data quality mechanisms. This includes automating data monitoring, alerting, and checking across various stages of data transformation and projection.     Product Owner Life and Funeral

    Role Purpose

    The Product Owner Life and Funeral based within Vodacom Financial Services.

    Role purpose: 

    • The Product Owner owns the Life & Funeral Products end to end, from product design, development, monitoring, financial results and KPIs
    • The Product Owner represents the business stakeholders and is the voice of the customer guiding individual DevOps teams, responsible for ensuring that the delivery team delivers value to the business according to the outcome vision
    • This role is responsible for the definition of customer-centric items or user stories from the capability/feature roadmap, ranking and prioritizing them, and adding them to the team backlog
