    Accountability:

    Strategy & Business Planning Support

    • Leverage business area knowledge & expertise to design & package outputs related to all strategy & business planning processes including reviews for multiple stakeholder groups
    • Support the Tribe Support lead in the design and planning of all Strategy & Business Planning Processes upport the coordination of business planning & business performance review processes including e.g. venue, agenda’s, output management, input management
    • Collate & coordinate business performance review trackers & reporting (monthly, quarterly, annually)
    • Create a document / knowledge management system for all business planning processes (reports, reviews, decks, processes, templates etc.) for ongoing continuous improvement

    Communication

    • Develop & implement an integrated communications plan for the business area
    • Work in collaboration with various functional leads to design & draft multiple communications (multimedia campaigns e.g. townhalls, newsletters, leader one on ones, leader key messages, leader story telling / narrative etc.) aligned to the communications plan across the estate (customers & employee orientated communications)
    • Lead the activation of all communication processes across the estate
    • Evaluate and continuously improve the impact of communications processes across the estate
    • Ensure strong communications & change management alignment across the estate
    • Stay ahead of best practice on estate wide communications & communications trends (e.g. digitized communications, graphic illustration etc.)

    Resource & Delivery Management

    • Consolidate project deliverables and interdependencies across tribes
    • Identify release & delivery risks across tribes
    • Act as a point of escalation & resolution for Scrum Masters as required in respect to delivery risk
    • Coordinate appropriate delivery & release communications across tribes and squads where required
    • Manage & track the integrated resource plan across identified tribes & squad.

    People & Change Management

    • Coordinate large scale change programs across the estate

    • Develop change management plans for all planned change orientated activity (across the value chain e.g. suppliers, employees, customers etc.)
    • In partnership with the functional leads and the people function, design & facilitate strategic change processes for the continued transformation of the business area
    • Support all the people value chain processes including but not limited to: Resourcing, development, Performance, Talent
    • Support includes but is not limited to: Coordination of various people process inputs by tribe leaders,scrum masters and broader squad team members, identification of people risks, consolidation & tracking of plans & insights, coaching & mentoring, team problem solving (leveraging design thinking).

    Financial, Risk & Governance Process Coordination

    • Support the implementation & management of financial, risk & governance processes for the business area e.g. budget management & reporting, internal / external, audit implementation & project management
    • Lead the project management of various risk, finance & governance processes & issues resolution e.g. audit finding closure, governance / risk forum meetings, minutes and administration etc.
    • Act as a point of escalation for all payments / other financial processing for the area and or facilitate payments processing with Key Centres of Enablement (where required to do so)
    • Maintain & communicate policies and procedures related to all financial, risk & governance processes across the estate & proactively monitor compliance

    Reporting & Analytics

    • Act as the custodian for all reporting & analytics tools across tribes and squad
    • Develop & standardize appropriate reporting & analytics tools for multiple stakeholder groups
    • Coordinate and complete all reporting (monthly, quarterly, annually)
    • Leverage reporting to drive insights and strategic action across the business.

    Design Thinking & Ideation

    • Evaluate existing organization wide business processes for continuous improvement and suggest changes (e.g. automation opportunities etc.)
    • Lead the process engineering efforts across the business area (policies, practices)
    • Design design thinking & ideation workshops, incubators and accelerators on behalf of the business leaders
    • Lead and facilitate design thinking and ideation processes across the estate
    • Stay ahead of design thinking practices as well as business specific knowledge to enable relevant and outcomes based design thinking outputs

    Education and experience required

    • B-degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Finance, Banking or Risk
    • Exposure to strategy setting approache
    • Five (5) years’ experience in the Financial Services industry
    • Three (3-5) years’ experience in client relationship management
    • Preferred / Advantage Three (3) years’ experience in dealing with complex and multiple stakeholder groups
    • Experience in working with & within an Agile team / teams including a

    Specialist Investigator

    Job Summary

    • As the threats and risks of Financial Crime increase in scale and complexity, Absa Group Financial Crime is responsible for ensuring that the Bank manages the risks of money laundering, terrorist financing, sanctions and bribery and corruption and, in so doing, protects the Bank, its customers and its employees, as well as society at large, from the negative effects of financial crime. The Financial Crime function implements a Financial Crime Risk framework to meet the requirements of anti-money laundering, anti-terrorism, anti-bribery & corruption and economic sanctions laws and regulations. 
    • Located within the Intelligence and Surveillance team (I&S), a sub-division of the FinCrime Compliance team, the Special Investigations Unit (SIU) carries out, on behalf the bank, sensitive and complex investigations related to the fight against Financial Crime. The Specialist Investigator is responsible for conducting and/or assisting with comprehensive detailed, intelligence and data-driven investigations on our clients in South Africa and across ARO.

    Job Description

    Investigations

    • Conduct and/or assist with complex forensic data and intelligence-driven investigations both in SA and across ARO.
    • This will include gathering of data and any other qualitative data related to the client(s) in question.
    • Such investigations may be pro-actively generated or re-actively initiated on the back of subpoenas, court orders, etc.
    • The investigations must be carried out to the highest standards and findings must withstand interrogation and scrutiny from the relevant stakeholders.
    • The Specialist Investigator must be able to compile detailed and comprehensive investigation reports, most of which are submitted to the SIU’s stakeholders (RBB and CIB units), once reviewed.
    • The successful candidate must be flexible in his/her approach, as changes and unfolding events demand.

    Intelligence gathering

    • Mine and manage internal intelligence in relation to our clients, drawing on past investigations, STRs, SARs, etc.

    Regulatory and global trends and threats

    • Keep abreast of changing regulatory trends and crime threats regionally and globally.
    • Monitor and analyze local, regional and international financial crime threats to understand and map AGL’s risk

    Stakeholder management 

    • Support the SIU team in the management of stakeholder relations (CIB, RBB, ARO) in such a manner that business regards the SIU as a professional investigative team that efficiently manages their risk and protects the bank.

    Liaison across the Financial Crime Compliance unit

    • Maintain strong working relationships with colleagues across I&S and the broader FinCrime Team to ensure greater efficiencies in the way we work and in so doing, minimize duplication of efforts/work

    Education  and Experience Required

    • 2-5 years experience in the field of forensic/corporate investigations either within a bank, consultancy or law firm.
    • Experience in Financial Crime Compliance.
    • Experience in complex forensic investigations
    • Relevant B-degree in Law, Accounting, Risk Management, Forensic Investigations, or related field.
    • Experience in data analysis and/or data analytics an advantage.
    • Strong written communication and report writing skills
    • Strong inter-personal skills

    Preferred

    • Certificate in Money Laundering Control, ACAMS Certificate or Certified Fraud Examiner (ACFE), or equivalent.
    • Experience in Financial Crime Compliance

    Lead Strategy Communications and Stakeholder Relations

    Job Summary

    • As a subject matter expert, the role holder is responsible to lead both reputation management for RBB in the external environment, as well as internal strategic communications for the franchise. The role entails enabling RBB to strategically position its narrative both inside and outside the organisation.  To deliver strategic internal and/or external integrated communication solutions to meet RBB objectives.

    Job Description

    Internal Strategic messaging 

    • To provide strategic advice and guidance to executive leadership and communication team on appropriate messaging and positioning statements in order to align all messages with RBB strategy
    • To guide RBB to gain optimum customer satisfaction through reliable and consistent employee messaging.
    • Facilitate and implement communication platforms that will allow the cluster leadership to engage regularly with employees thus ensuring visible leadership and engaged employees.
    • Oversee the planning of the channel content and ensure clear consistent process to disseminate communication campaigns across, for example, staff newsletter, office buildings, intranet etc.
    • Develop and review all relevant material including but not limited to communiqués, abacus articles, speeches, broadcast scripts etc. on behalf of the cluster leadership.
    • Evaluate effectiveness of communication initiatives through the introduction of formal and ongoing measurement communication tools within the team.

    Media repositioning 

    • Advise the Executive Team on the media impacts of trends, issues and competitor activity in order that RBB can maximise opportunities and mitigate risks.
    • To create leadership confidence through a proactive and consistent media relations agenda
    • Play an advisory role to RBB to build and manage a platform for corporate reputation and issues
    • Ensure adherence to Absa Group Media Policy through ongoing alignment of all actions in the media space with these policies

    Stakeholder management 

    • To align stakeholders to our current agenda borne out of the new RBB business model, which in turn will help reposition the Absa group 
    • Develop an engagement approach, which integrates activity across all stakeholder audiences
    • Build ongoing relationships and partnerships with cluster leadership to position Communications as credible experts in matters related to reputation management.
    • Gain understanding of the communication needs of the cluster leadership and advise them appropriately on communication matters such as positioning and messaging.
    • Provide strategic advice and counsel to the cluster leadership on potential reputational issues and crisis communication to ensure protection of Absa's reputation.

    Specialist Solution Analyst

    Job Summary

    • Work as part of a DevOps team, leverage specialist analysis & testing tools, frameworks, techniques and practices to elicit, define and organize business requirements. Translate & document business requirements into user stories  & specifications (Full Stack, Cross System) detailing integration points, business & associated risk / opportunities to be realised.     Analysis (including Business Case) 

    • Proactively build relationships, apply analytical techniques to elicit and validate business (product & service) needs ahead of demand
    • Implement routines to get to know / become an expert in various business processes (e.g. spend time in business & with users)
    • Translate elicited needs and knowledge acquired into user story format that is immediately usable for DevOps teams (right languaging, format for building & testing)
    • Prepare and prioritise the backlog of requirements for the user stories linked to the proposed solutions
    • Work collaboratively with Tribe Leads (Technical Product / Service Owners) to build a roadmap & vision for the products and services (including detailed analysis requirements & solution scope)
    • Define measures of success & key outcomes for various solutions / changes including detailed acceptance criteria for all features
    • Define testing requirements (pass or fail test cases)
    • Support the development of detailed business cases (including defining solution characteristics, effort estimations etc.)

    Solution Design (within DevOps Context)

    • Translate business requirements into detailed systems requirements. Detailed system requirements must include all capabilities, interfaces and functionalities within and across technologies.
    • Build detailed user stories to be leveraged for system requirements design (modular)
    • Leverage business analysis & modeling tools and apply notation standards such as UML/BPMN to diagrammatically/visually document: business requirements, business processes, system processes & integration . 
    • Facilitate processes to ensure integrated requirements are socialized, understood & approved across the broad range of stakeholders to be impacted (this includes various processes e.g. risk / governance forums, change council, scrum meetings / DevOps team capability building, solution design sessions etc.)
    • Understand & leverage knowledge on the organisations technical landscape, environment and broader architecture to define integration points across tech stacks for various requirements
    • Work collaboratively with project / program teams, squads, scrum masters and engineers to define backlog, release & DevOps / project planning implications of the requirements development & roadmap (what should happen when)
    • Continuously improve system requirements mapping (e.g. leverage input from questions asked etc. to consistently improve the quality of the requirements analysis for easier interpretation by the development teams)
    • Work as part of the embedded DevOps team throughout the design process to review solution design (features and functionality)
    • Facilitate resolution during development & testing phases for any change requirements

    Solution Delivery & Testing (manual)

    • Define the manual testing strategy & test cases for various solutions (where it makes sense to do so)
    • Define & validate quality & testing parameters (+/-) & plans for the solution (socialize & translate these to automation testing teams)
    • Develop manual testing frameworks and patterns for the solution
    • Lead the manual testing process for various solutions (e.g. execute test cases, analyse results)
    • Provide real time feedback to the DevOps teams on change requirements identified throughout the testing process
    • Review & monitor system stability, resilience etc. throughout the testing process (e.g. integration) & in production
    • Define & monitor overall backlog planning for effective solution delivery
    • Provide Developer & User support during user acceptance testing

    People

    • Provide coaching & mentoring across the DevOps team as well as to developing analysts across the estate
    • Conduct peer reviews & problem solving within and across the broader team

    Education and experience required

    • 6-8 years business & systems analysis experience
    • Experience with Blaze (product), Power Curve (product), credit risk, model implementation and credit origination secured/unsecured lending
    • Experience developing new and configure existing Automated Decision Systems
    • 6-8 years Experience in working with multidisciplinary teams
    • Experience in Agile Methodology & working embedded within an Agile team / teams
    • Degree or Diploma in computer science, commerce or business administration
    • Information Systems Analyst certification from Institute for the Certification of Computing Professionals, expert level.
