    eCommerce Manager (Luxury Brands/Retail/FMCG)

    Our client, known as one of the largest cosmetic and fragrance companies in the world, has an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated, eCommerce Manager who is passionate about the world of beauty and eCommerce, to join their Luxury/Beauty Division in Cape Town, South Africa.

    As eCommerce Manager you will lead and develop the ecommerce business for the Africa region. This role requires the strategic and hands on approach when required to develop the business. Some of the responsibilities will include the set up and penetration of the Luxury & Consumer Beauty brands in game changer key accounts (market place and pure play e-commerce clients), develop and oversee the brands online sales, implementation of an excellent user experience and customer journey on the web, manage end to end relationship and performance for top e-retailer partners.

    Requirements

    • We’d love to see candidates who have:
    • 5 years of experience in e-commerce and business development
    • Knowledge of FMCG, FMCG marketing specifically would be preferred.
    • Deep understanding of market-place accounts like Amazon, Takealot or Jumia. 
    • Deep understanding of digital marketing platforms and subsequent media strategies to drive brand performance
    • Has successfully delivered on KPIs, especially top and bottom line business results in this field 
    • Understanding of digital and tech is key 
    • Analytical skills with good knowledge of Excel and strong experience interpreting test results & drawing conclusions
    • Proactive, flexible and adaptable to rapid change 
    • Hands-on mentality, not afraid to tackle administrative tasks
    • Strong eye for detail 
    • Willingness to learn and Creative thinker

    In this role you will be responsible for:

    • Lead the development of e-commerce and omni-channel strategies. Gather cross-functional inputs, to determine company-wide opportunity values.
    • Act as an expert on ecommerce accounts by building a formidable relationship to drive agreed business growth and turnover.
    • Scope out opportunities for growth and key initiatives to leverage category growth and market share within ecommerce channel
    • Innovate and activate key launches, campaigns and collaborations with marketing and digital for impactful brand presence leading to business.
    • Ensure right presence on brands across top SKUs to ensure discoverability, build customer experience through brand pages under reTailers and product page details and compelling reasons to drive purchase.
    • Innovate presence and utility of tech and digital where relevant.
    • Drive the potential DTC (direct to consumer) opportunities.
    • Leading digital marketing strategies to support key brand performance
    • Lead the scoping future partners in terms of development potential, profitability, sales revenues and develop and implement the necessary plans of action.
    • Build an efficient and successful ecommerce team for long term success.
    • Build a sustainable relationship with existing accounts. Answering day to day client enquiries in a timely and professional manner.
    • Analyse the results of the sales in depth to jointly develop new ways to optimize the performance of the accounts

    Portfolio Manager: Consumer Lending Function (eCommerce/Fintech)

    About the job
    Our client, a leading technology communications company in Europe and Africa, is looking to hire a Portfolio Manager (Consumer Lending Function) to join their team in Midrand, Johannesburg, South Africa.

    As Portfolio Manager you will need to develop a portfolio of lending products, manage them through the stages of the Consumer Lending products life cycle as well as:

    Keep pace with the latest in industry & technology developments as well as the broader regulatory environment;
    Improve the overall revenue contribution and performance of lending products in the company
    Form part of the Super Application team, developing lending products for a payments Super Application.

    Type: Full-Time

    The ideal candidate:

    • Matric and a relevant 3-year Business degree essential
    • A minimum of 8 years of experience within the Consumer Lending industry is essential 
    • Experience within a fintech or e-commerce  environment essential 
    • Prior Consumer lending product design and development experience is essential 
    • A detailed knowledge understanding of the fast-paced unsecured lending industry 
    • Understanding of regulatory requirements
    • Understanding of system requirements to launch consumer lending offerings preferential; 

    Key Accountabilities:

    • Develop new innovative consumer lending products 
    • Identify and foster relationships/partnerships with entities that are able to deliver on the team’s product wishlist 
    • Negotiate contracts and commercials with identified partners 
    • Build a brand new business with limited to no pre-existing processes, controls and systems; 
    • Grow existing products, such as Voucher Advance; 
    • Build and manage a team to create and maintain consumer lending offerings; 
    • Development of the Consumer lending marketplace proposition which will span multiple segments from Consumer enterprise  
    • Developing all relevant documentation, providing inputs and evaluation for financial business cases, defining business rules and working with customer experience teams to define and refine existing and new customer journeys 
    • Revenue projections and forecasts for revenue and analyse and identify shortfalls and areas of improvement 
    • Be an expert in making innovative, less than R1000, lending products commercially viable; ∙ Provide insights to the broader team around innovations and developments within the Consumer Lending and Fintech industry ∙ 
    • To regularly review launched products to ensure the performance is in line with initial assumptions and implement corrective measures if needed and also look at how to improve/enhance products 
    • Keep track of competitor launches and take measures to mitigate risks 
    • Monthly product presentations for an audience consisting of managing executives and senior management

    Risk and Compliance Manager (eCommerce/Fintech)

    Job Description

    Our client, a leading technology communications company in Europe and Africa, is looking to hire a Risk and Compliance Manager to join their team in Midrand, Johannesburg, South Africa (Remote).

    As the Risk & Compliance Manager you will create a governance framework and oversee the implementation and monitoring of risk,  compliance and regulatory controls within e-commerce and online payments divisions. 

    Type: Full-Time | Remote (Remote working permitted until further notice)

     

     

    Requirements

    • 3 year Degree or National Diploma essential in BCom, LLB, BA Law, or  related

    • A minimum of 5 years relevant experience in risk and compliance  within a fintech or e-commerce  environment.  

    • Experience in cyber security and online security controls with specific focus on  online payments  

    • Specialist experience and  knowledge of the e-commerce and  online sales ecosystems.  

    • Sound knowledge of information  security and data governance framework is essential. 

    • Knowledge of robust fraud mitigation for ecommerce transactions

     

     

    Skills:

    • Ability to transfer regulatory knowledge into sound business practices. 

    • Analytical and sound financial skills 

    • Effective interpersonal and communication (verbal and written skills)

    Key accountabilities and decision ownership :  

     

    Regulatory and Legislative Compliance Monitoring,  Analysis and Reporting 

    • Establishing a compliance and governance  framework for the E-Commerce business, its  suppliers and its consumers. 

    • Creating and embedding the cyber security,  data security and data governance frameworks into the e-commerce business.  

    • Developing a risk based AML/KYC framework  for e-commerce and online sales.  

    • Supporting the business in legal and  commercial discussions with third party providers.  

    • Developing robust third party due diligence  protocols as well as ensuring that there is  appropriate ongoing oversight and control  over such third party providers.  

    • Collate and analyse information from various  sources in order to assess the adequacy and  effectiveness of the internal compliance  

    • controls. The information must be documented together with action items and control plans and communicated to relevant  internal stakeholders.  

    • Proactively managing risks including:  Operational risk, strategic business risk,  

    • market risk, IT risk, Regulatory risk.  

     

    Stakeholder management  

    • Analyse complaints (internal and external) for  trends and report’s findings to relevant stakeholders 

    • Liaise with External Regulatory Stakeholders  such as PASA, SARB, FSCA and IFWG where  relevant.  

    • Operate as a 1st line support across the E Commerce business unit 

     

    Assist in the creation and implementation of the  compliance training and awareness program

    • Create a risk and compliance culture by  identifying weaknesses in systems and processes and proactively embedding governance principles, values and sound  business practice into existing systems, products, services and processes.  

     

    Financial Services regulation analysis and  documentation  

    •  Responsible for analysis and documentation  of regulatory compliance requirements especially as it relates to e-commerce solutions.  

    • Develop risk management plans for relevant  legislation and maintain a regulatory  

    • universe. 

    • Develop appropriate policies to supplement  and enforce the governance framework.  

     

    Assessing the risk of changes to Regulatory  Environment 

    • Identify and track changes to existing and  new laws and trends in the industry both locally and internationally.  

    • Impact analysis across business processes  and systems 

     

    Fraud Prevention  

    • Establishing a robust fraud risk management  program. 

    • Proactively embedding fraud prevention  controls into online processes  

    • Conducting root-cause analysis on suspicious transactions identified and enhancing the existing controls accordingly.  

     

    Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s):  

    • Engaging with the business regarding the  compliance and regulatory requirements when developing new products and the technology ecosystems involved.  

    • Liaising with third party service providers who  will supply products and services and ensure  that security and data governance standards are in place.  

    • Assist with drafting end user licenses, terms  and conditions, and relevant policies and  procedure in strengthening the e-commerce  governance framework.  

    • Responsible for drafting and rolling out  compliance training and awareness programs to ensure business is compliant  with international best practises.  

    • Record the controls that are being implemented within the business against the  specific regulatory environment in the form of  risk management plans.
