Job duties include, but is not limited to the following:

Upkeep of the linen room

• Maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the linen area and hygiene standards
• Report any maintenance issues
• Manage daily operations of the linen room
• Oversee the issuing of linen and the loading of linen carts and getting filled linen carts to designated areas
• Oversee proper handling and storage of clean linen and the proper handling of soiled linen
• Oversee the pick up and drop off of linen by external service provider

Oversee quality controls of the linen

• Take heavily soiled linen out and place separately for re-washing or special treatments
• Report any linen which is torn, ensure it is placed separately and follow the procedure to condemn
• Inspect finished laundered articles to ensure conformance to standards
• Ensure correct storage of linen in linen rooms

Record keeping, stock and par levels

• Submit weekly stock take reports
• Ensure par levels are correct
• Reconcile invoices of sent and received laundry
• Update daily linen productivity report

Report to supervisor

• Any concerns immediately to your supervisor
• Any linen that needs to be discarded or replenished
• Any discrepancies with stock or invoicing
• Make recommendations

Additional duties

• Perform other duties as assigned and able to carry out any other reasonable task as by the Housekeeping Supervisor

Working hours: Mondays to Fridays from 07h00 until 17h00 and every second Saturday from 07h00 until 12h00

Requirements
Qualification:

• Grade 12

Experience:

• Minimum of 1 year's experience in same or similar role
• Laundry management experience
• Stock control experience

Duties include but is not limited to the following:

• The Carer is responsible for implementing the approved care plan by directly providing practical, physical, social and emotional care for residents at the healthcare centre. Carers all contribute to create a therapeutic and relaxing environment.

Handover

• Take part in handover process according to ISBAR with opposite shift
• Communicate all observations regarding residents to the opposite shifft
• End shift after handover is completed

Administration & Reporting

• Chart and timestamp all activities on ECP as per procedure
• Report to Duty Sister any changes or causes of concern in a resident’s condition

Patient Care (according to care plan)

• Attend to all activities as per the ECP care plan per resident and chart activity accordingly, including but not limited to personal hygiene, incontenence, dress, feeding and companionship
• Maintain safe and therapeutic environment for all residents in terms of care plan and their personal diagnosis

Company Policies & Procedures

• Maintain awareness, understanding and adherance to company rules, policies and procedures
• Treat all residents with respect and dignity

Infection Control

• Comply to all company policies and procedures regarding infection control
• Maintain good personal hygiene as per the relevant policies and procedures

Health & Safety

• Comply with company health and safety standards in terms of activities of work
• Be aware of duty of care and measures to protect vulnerable residents
• Report any health and safety contraventions to the Duty Sister

Activities & Exercise

Assist OT and Carer Team Leader with Carer run activities

Requirements

• Experience and Knowledge: Proven experience as a Carer, experience in a similar environment advantageous
• Skills and Attributes: Knowledge of caring principles and Dementia and Alzheimer’s. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Must be able to work well with the elderly and have compassion for them.
• Working Hours: Normal working days are Mondays to Sundays, according to the duty roster. You will be required to work 16.25 shifts per month. This is a night shift position from 19h00 until 07h00.

• Conduct financial assessments of each solution

• Use smart water management tools available.(e.g kamstrup , sensors etc.)
• Perform site inspections for new business proposals
• Manage water projects from start to completion
• Write project management reports

Project management for prepaid metering will include but not be limited to

• Arrange quotes for projects
• Project manage installation
• Update relevant systems with the necessary details
• Prepaid meters - pair meters with keypad and label accordingly
• Register meter on vending system

Project management for Smart metering will include but not be limited to

• Allocate meters to customers / addresses, add meter, edit meter location
• Monitor various alarm notifications
• Report alarms received to relevant persons and keep a record of alarms and resolutions
• On site readings with hand held device and upload to READy system
• Smart meters – program meter notification flow, register meter on READy system, install

Technical Support

• Attend to prepaid meter faults
• General investigations on site to assist with utility queries
• Site investigations and reporting for new building utility services
• CoCT meter investigations and updating of CoCT invoices with correct information
• Email queries

Requirements
Qualifications

• Matric
• N5 / N6 Plumber Qualification or equivalent

Experience and Knowledge

• Relevant experience in a similar role
• Experience in the utility field is preferable
• 2 - 3 years experience in wet services is preferable
