    Business Development Consultant / Investment Broker Consultant

    Overview and Purpose of the Role:

    Our investment business has grown significantly over the year which has led to the development of this business development role. The Business Development Consultant is charged with driving our growth in the independent advisor channel by creating widespread awareness of our investment business OUTvest and its product offerings.

    The Business Development Consultant must align themselves with the OUTsurance culture and values of Awesome Service, Passionate, Honest, Human, Dynamic and Recognition and be able to work within a dynamic and fast paced environment.

    The key outputs for this role are to identify the right profile IFA practices, create awareness of the OUTvest digital platform and product suite, establish service level agreements and to enable IFAs to place business with OUTvest.

    Qualifications

    Qualification and Experience

    Qualification

    • Completed Matric or National Senior Certificate as a minimum but a relevant commercial degree will be advantageous.
    •  Regulatory Exam (RE5)

    Experience:

    • At least 3 years’ experience promoting investment product to IFAs / Wealth Managers will qualify you for a junior role
    • More than 10 years’ experience promoting investment product to IFAs / Wealth Managers will qualify you for a senior role

    Essential

    • Must have your own transport and a valid SA driver’s license

    Competencies:

    • Strong sales and influencing skills
    • Excellent communication (verbal and written) in English
    • Numerical & mathematical skills
    • An ability to self-manage and work remotely

    Dealership Key Account Manager - East London

    Job Description

    The incumbent of this newly created position will facilitate new business development, focusing on the dealership channel Agents located in their designated region. The Dealership Key Account Manager: must align themselves with the OUTsurance culture and values of Awesome Service, Passionate, Honest, Human, Dynamic and Recognition.

    On the Road Face to Face role: The successful candidate will service the KZN Region.

    Qualifications

    • Completed Matric or Grade 12
    • Must have your own reliable transport
    • Valid code B driver’s license
    • Experience in Relationship/Business Development with dealerships
    • For applicants that have been working in a financial services industry prior to December 2010, preference will be given to applicants with their Financial Services Board Regulatory Exams (RE1) completed.
    • If you worked in the financial services industry prior to December 2011, selling and providing financial advice to clients. You would need to have completed the 30 FAIS credits necessary for personal lines or 60 FAIS credits for commercial insurance

    Responsibilities:

    • New business development, focusing on the dealership channel;
    • Identify and appointment of effective, reliable and productive dealership partners that will provide personal and commercial insurance leads;
    • Develop, manage and maintain business relations at all strategic levels of the dealership that will allow for the further business potential of OUTsurance i.e. Finance and Insurance Manager, Key Individual, Sales Manager, Dealer Principle/Owner;
    • Set sales targets/time frames as realisable and attainable objectives for the dealership partners;
    • Providing daily support to your dealership partners in order to deliver on awesome service expectations;
    • Compile, monitor and manage performance reports, figures and productivity of the dealership partners;
    • Commercial cold canvassing and generate commercial leads by identifying, penetrating and managing commercial channels focusing specifically on SMME’s and Business Professionals.
