    Marketing Lead, RSAWEB Business

    Where will the successful candidate fit in?

    • The position is for Marketing Lead in the RSAWEB Business team based in the Cape Town office. You will report to the Head of Enterprise and work closely with the Cape Town and Johannesburg based Sales Managers. The successful candidate will manage RSAWEB Business marketing objectives with a quarterly view on execution while aligning them to an annual marketing plan. Know our customers, know our team, and support the sales effort with effective marketing, customer and / or team events, and ensuring alignment to the Business team sales objectives

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Engaging with Product Owners within the RSAWEB Business team to ensure alignment of marketing strategies and campaigns.
    • Contributing to the development of RSAWEB Business Annual Marketing Plan by researching which areas to target, pricing and developing new and exciting promotions.
    • Provide effective self-leadership and provide guidance to members of the RSAWEB Business team for Marketing Execution.
    • Coordinating and managing the development of marketing projects and activities as planned, for RSAWEB Business, working with the Marketing team.
    • Organizing the sourcing and final production of branded items and collateral whilst keeping stock of inventory, placing orders; verifying payment and receipt.
    • Provides insights to the RSAWEB Business team, through competitive market research of competitive products by identifying and evaluating product characteristics, market share, pricing, and advertising.
    • Prepares marketing reports specific to RSAWEB Business by tracking, analysing, and summarizing sales and marketing data.
    • Monitoring and updating progress of the RSAWEB Business Annual Marketing plan, at a project level with the key stakeholders in RSAWEB Business, Marketing and at executive level as required.
    • Monitors RSAWEB Business allocated marketing budgets by comparing and analysing actual results with plans and forecasts.

    Requirements

    • Matric Certificate is essential. Tertiary level marketing Diploma or Degree is preferred.
    • A minimum of 3 years of marketing experience and/or project management in a similar environment.
    • Proven ability to plan, develop and execute marketing plans.
    • Effective self-leadership abilities.
    • Effective relationship management skills internally and with Fibre Network Operators.
    • A reliable vehicle and valid driver's license are preferred.
    • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
    • Commitment to delighting customers and creating a trusted environment for team members and customers to engage in.
    • Ownership – able to take responsibility, troubleshoot problems and work with teams to get results.
    • Ruthless on customer service excellence.
    • Must be proficient in both oral and written communication skills (English and Afrikaans).
    • Able to cultivate trust and credibility with peers and customers and maintain strong working relationships at all levels of RSAWEB.
    • Positive attitude, self-motivated and managed.

    Social Media Specialist

    Job Description
    Social Media Strategy & Execution:

    • Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy tailored for each platform (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, TikTok, YouTube, etc.).
    • Oversee and execute the organic content plan, ensuring consistency in messaging, brand tone, and engagement across all channels.
    • Plan and manage paid social media campaigns, optimising performance for reach, engagement, and conversions.
    • Manage and allocate the social media budget effectively, ensuring optimal spend and ROI for paid campaigns.
    • Monitor and analyse social media performance, adjusting strategies to improve engagement, follower growth, and campaign effectiveness.

    Content Creation & Community Engagement:

    • Create high-quality, engaging, and on-brand content, including graphics, videos, copy, and interactive posts.
    • Stay ahead of social media trends, experimenting with new content formats and emerging platforms.
    • Manage RSAWEB social media community, responding to comments, messages, and customer queries in a timely and brand-appropriate manner

    Budget & Performance Management:

    • Develop, manage, and track the social media budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources across paid campaigns.
    • Work with the marketing team to align social media spending with broader marketing and business goals.
    • Analyse campaign data to assess ROI and optimise ad spend for maximum impact.
    • Prepare reports on budget utilisation, ad performance, and key social media metrics, providing strategic recommendations.

    Collaboration & Upskilling:

    • Work closely with the wider marketing team to ensure alignment between social media, digital campaigns, and overall brand messaging.
    • Identify and mentor employees across different departments to become content creators and brand advocates.
    • Host internal workshops and training sessions to enhance social media literacy.

    Performance & Reporting:

    • Track and report on key social media metrics, providing insights and recommendations to optimise content and strategy.
    • Use data-driven insights to refine content approaches, audience targeting, and campaign effectiveness.
    • Stay updated on industry best practices and competitor activities to ensure we maintain a leading social presence.

    Requirements

    • Matric is essential
    • 3+​ years of experience in social media management, content creation, or digital marketing.
    • Proven experience managing both organic and paid social media strategies.
    • Strong understanding of social media platforms, trends, and best practices.
    • Experience in budget management for paid social media campaigns.
    • Proficiency in content creation tools such as Canva, Adobe Suite, or similar.
    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and drive decisions.
    • Experience in community management and audience engagement strategies.
    • Excellent communication and copywriting skills.
    • Experience in upskilling or mentoring others in content creation is a plus.
