    Specialist: Business Strategy & Architec

    Core Description

    Responsible to provide clear end to end strategic insight and direction with a focus on efficiencies and innovations that focuses on global trends, local market knowledge and competitor analysis. Accountable for overall support of the strategic implementation and development of new capabilities within Openserve. Supporting Openserve in creating the right balance between guiding the "business of today" and creating the "business of tomorrow" - the driving force behind the innovation and strategy development that moves Openserve into the "business of tomorrow".

    Job Responsibilities
    Strategy Development

    • Support EXCO and Senior Leadership to drive and champion the use of global strategic analysis and insight as an input to define overall Openserve Business Strategy
    • Set goals to maximise shareholder value in the medium to long term and define objectives and KPI's that should be linked to these strategic goals
    • Develop pro-active scenario planning models and strategic options frameworks where necessary in order to support this
    • Support and deliver strategic ideas in support of Openserve's short, medium and long term commercial success
    • Support development routines to ensure alignment of functional strategies and execution of the Openserve strategy
    • Deliver decision analysis tools and techniques to support strategic decisions
    • Apply principles of situational analysis and competitive strategy to industry analysis
    • Develop materials for EXCO/ Openserve meetings
    • Analyse data and translate findings into meaningful insights, integrating relevant business knowledge as well as learning from other projects/sources - Gather and evaluates industry data

    Business Architecture

    • Collect relevant, complete and accurate business architecture information for Openserve
    • Design business architecture models that accurately reflect the reality whilst adhering to the business architecture meta-model and standards
    • Translate requirements into a workable, integrated, sustainable Business Architecture solution
    • Guide usage of Business Architecture modelling techniques
    • Map to overall EA framework
    • Develop and maintain Business Architecture standards and guidelines
    • Integrate Business Architecture with other domain architectures
    • Obtain business architecture model sign-off

    Specialist: Developer & Systems Analyst - Milnerton

    Core Description

    Executing on the OSS/BSS best practise-based design, customization, configuration, development, and deployment of applications and systems (including application interfaces). This involves understanding of business processes and the associated business outcomes and mapping and building these workloads or features into applications and systems landscape, in consultation with the Architecture and Solution Design teams.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Give input to and execute on the “build once use often mindset” across all applications and systems landscape as defined by the solution design and architecture teams.
    • Build platforms, based on the methodologies and practices defined by by architecture and solution design teams, that enable IT to meet the time to market needs of the business.
    • Ensure understanding of business outcomes and architectural guidelines to build quality software whilst working closely with both internal and external partners. Ensure compliance to functional/non-functional requirements (security, performance, and legal and regulatory requirements).
    • Build application and system solutions that have service assurance and service resilience features/functionality and are compliant with the envisaged or agreed business SLAs.
    • Adopt and adhere to tailored and fit for purpose software delivery methodologies for programmes and projects e.g., Waterfall, Agile and hybrid.
    • Identify and implement ongoing improvement initiatives, processes and tools that support improvements in productivity, efficiency, issue resolution and cost.
    • Actively participate in ongoing cross skilling and knowledge sharing within teams to manage capacity constraints and remove “key-man” dependency constraints.
    • Manage, mentor, coach, and develop team members in reporting line, as required.
    • Ensure that skills are maintained and that continuous learning around software development and systems analysis of platforms in the Openserve landscape is conducted as and when required by Openserve management.
    • Give input to and/or compile low level designs into a repository ensuring reusability of low-level designs to shorten build lifecycles.
