Quality Assurance Engineer
Tetra Pak South Africa has an opening for an experienced QA Engineer, who will be responsible for the elimination of claims and reduction of waste by establishing optimal process conditions, seeking to reduce losses in the converting process with a consequent reduction in converting costs, as well as reduction of the total number of complaints / claims and increase customer satisfaction by improving the quality of our products through the use of World Class Manufacturing (WCM). Provide support, coach and guidance to task groups responsible for the reduction of losses and improving the quality of our products through the use of quality tools (FMEA, Ishikawa, Cause Effect, PM Analysis, 5 Why, etc.)
What Will You Do
Overall process management
Implement process kaizen improvements in all stages of the process.
Ensure mandatory standards are in place, and best practice is in place
Implement the optimal process conditions through the process control.
Perform daily analysis of performance losses and rework in the converting process.
Develop and put in place process parameters and ensure they are trained and used
Establish process Q-Points and ensure they are trained and used
Ensure packaging material spec is in place, updated and complied with
Develop SPC system and ensure staff use the system accordingly
Overall supplier management - KPIs
Perform supplier evaluating
Perform supplier auditing
Perform common agenda with suppliers
Perform monitoring and control of improving the quality of our suppliers, through action plans
Monitor supplier performance based on incoming inspection
Overall customer management - KPIs
Claims reporting
Claims analysis
Eradication of claims
Implement COA’s system
Overall claims management
Eradication of customer claims
Perform technical analysis of customer claims and complaints.
Proper deployments of claim and putting action plan in place to eradicate
Ensure customer reports are compiled and sent to customers on time
Ensure that supplier related losses & non-conforming product is claimed from suppliers
Six sigma management
Consolidating CPk data and reporting to global
Improving six sigma index and ensuring global target is met
Total Barriers management
Monitor barriers efficiency and optimise barrier management.
Quality Maintenance Pillar
Serve as a member of the pillar for maintaining quality.
Update Pillar board with deployment and action plan
Defect waste and claims reduction
Other
Participate in activities by analysis of risks related to Health and Work Safety.
Perform other related tasks and / or forming part of the quality process, always necessary.
Visit suppliers for assessing complaints

Who You Are!
BSc Degree (Mech Eng, Chem. Eng, Elect Eng or Industrial Eng) equivalent tertiary qualifications.
At least 3 years Quality Assurance experience in an FMCG environment, including experience of working within a quality-driven and WCM / TPM driven environment.
Printing experience would be an add advantage.
Knowledge and experience of printing, laminating or filling machine will be an advantage
Proficiency in MS Office, SAP R/3 would be an advantage
High degree of accuracy in collating, checking and analysing data and information
Printing and coating process knowledge
Prior knowledge of customer relationships
Strong business communication skills at all levels and disciplines; both written and oral
Able to maintain an eye for detail in a pressurised working environment whilst maintaining consistency and courtesy

As Future Talent- Service Engineer trainee, you will:
Participate in preparing customer site for installation events, assembling machines.
Participate in execution of preventive maintenance activities.
Inform relevant Tetra Pak staff in a timely manner about discovered Technical Issues and play key part in identifying the root cause and resloving issue.
Participate in the installation of relevant rebuilding/upgrade kits.
Inform relevant Tetra Pak Field Staff about ongoing service activities as well as of any issues affecting the customer or the quality of Tetra Pak service.
Act as an ambassador for Tetra Pak at all times, ensuring good working relationships with the customer and Tetra Pak colleagues and that Tetra Pak’s reputation is sustained.
Execute all work in accordance with Tetra Pak and Customer safety regulations and requirements. Execute all work in accordance with Tetra Pak standards and requirements regarding product quality and food safety. Escalate all discovered food safety, quality assurance and regulatory issues.
Comply with all reporting requirements.
Who You Are
We believe you have:
N3-N5 Electrical trade and Millwright or Instrument Mechanician
P1 and P2 or In-service training will be an added advantage
Recently obtained Millwright/Instrument Mechanician in year 2019/2020
Attitude and Flexibility is key - must be willing to work long hours, overtime, weekends, public holidays and away from home (ad hoc as per customer requirements)

Automation Engineer
We are looking for an automation engineer would be actively responsible for design, implementation, testing and commissioning of automation solutions. The incumbent would be supporting the Market companies with developing automation strategies and executing automation projects. He/She would also be expected to support for automation pre project costing and sales activities.

What you will do
As an Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for:
Supporting the Market companies with developing automation strategies and executing automation projects.
Providing necessary technical support for the Africa cluster and service to our customers.
Reviewing electrical drawings, P&ID documents & process descriptions.
Providing support with pre projects costing, customer meetings, site evaluation, creation of scope documents.
Understanding the Tetra Pak Plant Master internal methodology and providing cost estimates for electrical & automation costing.
Understanding the S88 and S95 standards, PCS 7 experience will provide a great platform to be successful in role.
Creating of BOM for electrical and automation solutions.
Coordinating for electrical and automation items on SAP.
Developing and commissioning of plant automation systems (hardware and software) as part of an overall production solution combined by process and automation.
Development of tools to enable system integrator support for rapid software engineering and hardware creation.
Technical support, commissioning and troubleshooting activities – remote and/or at site (Africa region).
Creating software design documents, prepare and perform FAT tests with end customers.
Who you are
We believe you have :
BSC or BTech Degree in Electrical Engineering, light current, Process instrumentation
Equivalent ND in Electrical Engineering, light current, Process instrumentation
3-5 years proven ability in automation and electrical engineering
Knowledge of SAP is an added advantage
PLC programming (Siemens, Allen Bradley & Wonderware) experience is critical
Food manufacturing experience is essential
