    Food Service Assistants / Waiters

    Duties & Responsibilities

    • To ensure that the Company & Statutory regulations regarding cleanliness & hygiene are complied with within all tasks undertaken
    • To ensure that the quality standards of both customer service and operating processes, health and safety standards and food standards are met.
    • Assists in the preparation of meals, especially salads and desserts.
    • Places entrees, salads, desserts and other food on the serving line.
    • Keeps the serving line well-stocked and clean.
    • May assist in training new employees.
    • Stores and records food leftovers.
    • Keeps canteen tables, kitchen and other areas clean and orderly.
    • To ensure that customer expectations are met within the provisions of the contract.
    • To ensure a high level of customer service within the area of responsibility.
    • Where applicable, to ensure that stock in the designated area of responsibility is counted and signed over to the correct staff
    • To carry out any reasonable request by management.
    • To report and where possible take action when faced with customer and client complaints or compliments.
    • To attend meetings and training courses as may be necessary.
    • Performs related work as assigned.
    • May be required to assist with any other duties that may be outside scope of responsibility

    Duties & Responsibilities

    • supervising the maintenance and housekeeping staff and is answerable for any problem associated with housekeeping.
    • Their work doesn't involve the actual day-to-day cleaning duties, but just overseeing them.
    • The Housekeeper keep a watch on the housekeepers' work and see to it that they meet the management's standards.
    • The housekeeper directs and controls the work of the building's cleaning staff. He or she maintains a cleaning schedule and assigns duties to each staff member and ensures that all the assigned tasks are completed well in time.
    • They assist the staff according to the cleaning requirements and are apprised of everything that is happening within the department.
    • The housekeeper not only supervises the housekeeping staff, but also manages the budget of the department.
    • He keeps a record of the purchases and usage of housekeeping products, salaries, and maintenance expenses of the department.
    • The housekeepers also work as a part of the management team and are responsible of providing all the updates going within the housekeeping department.
    • The housekeepers are also responsible of hiring new staff whenever necessary. They then provide necessary training to the newly recruited staff and assign them work accordingly. The executives may even take necessary disciplinary and firing actions against his housekeeping staff.
    • They also carry out auditing and assessing of how well the department is functioning and undertake necessary points for improvement.
    • Time management is another major responsibility of an executive housekeeper. He or she must ensure that the all the housekeeping tasks are performed well in time and no complaints shall be encountered regarding any housekeeping work.
    • Skills and CompetenciesMinimum 2-3 years Supervisory experience preferably in the cleaning industry
    • Must have experience in healthcare and safety standards
    • People Management Skills
    • Able to work independently and under pressure
    • Able to work long hours, after hours and some weekends
    • Ability to communicate, motivate, develop and coach staff at all levels
