    Facilities Technician - Kwazulu Natal

    Key roles and responsibilities:

    Facilities maintenance:

    • Undertake basic maintenance of heating, lighting, refrigeration, air conditioning units, chillers, walk in coolers/freezers, plumbing and security systems to ensure they operate safely and efficiently. This includes electrical faults and leak detection.
    • Implement preventative maintenance schedules to ensure that equipment is serviced regularly, avoiding costly breakdowns and downtime.
    • Respond to urgent repair needs and equipment failures across various systems within the building.
    • Supervise and work alongside general maintenance staff members responsible for building, plumbing, HVAC, general repairs and electrical maintenance.
    • Where applicable provide training to staff on new equipment, maintenance techniques, and safety protocols.
    • Develop and manage maintenance budgets, ensuring that the costs of repairs and replacements are kept within approved limits.
    • Track inventory of spare parts, tools, and supplies, and maintain cost- effective purchasing practices
    • Manage relationships with external contractors for specialized services that may be required, such as electrical COC’s, major refrigeration system overhauls or HVAC system replacements.
    • Review and approve vendor invoices, ensuring services rendered align with agreed contracts and service level agreements.
    • Lead and coordinate major repair, replacement, or upgrade projects related to building systems.
    • Ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and with minimal disruption to building occupants.

    Safety and compliance:

    • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations regarding refrigerants (such as HFCs, CFCs) and environmental concerns.
    • Ensure that all work follows local safety codes, building regulations, and environmental laws.
    • Conduct regular safety audits and ensure that technicians are trained in safe working practices, especially when working with hazardous refrigerants or electrical systems.
    • Maintain all necessary records, including maintenance logs, inspection reports, and compliance documentation

    Education and training:

    • Matric
    • Relevant certifications (plumbing, electrical, etc) an added advantage.

    Experience:

    • At least 3 years’ experience in facilities maintenance/  Handyman/ similar – for a big site/ office/ complex etc.
    • Experience with hardware tools and electrical equipment.
    • Required to travel up to 30% of the month to other sites within South Africa

    Revenue Growth Lead

    Key roles and responsibilities:

    Manage Existing Accounts

    • Maintain strong relationships with current key accounts, ensuring their needs are met and identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.
    • Conduct regular account reviews to assess performance, address issues, and implement improvement plans.
    • Develop customized strategies for each key account to maximize their engagement and satisfaction.

    Identify and Onboard New Accounts

    • Proactively seek out and onboard new accounts that fit the organisation’s growth strategy, expanding the customer base and driving revenue.
    • Conduct market research to identify potential new clients and understand their needs and challenges.
    • Develop and present tailored proposals to prospective clients, highlighting the value and benefits of the marketplace.

    Leadership and Strategic Planning

    • Conduct comprehensive assessments of market trends and account performance to develop and implement strategic growth plans.
    • Collaborate with senior management to set revenue targets and create actionable plans to achieve them.
    • Monitor industry developments and competitor activities to identify new opportunities and threats.
    • Provide leadership and guidance to sales staff to ensure their activities are aligned with the businesses growth plans and enable achievement of agreed revenue targets.

    Key Account Support

    • Provide ongoing support to key accounts, guiding them through the organisation and ensuring they are aligned with its evolving offerings.
    • Facilitate training and onboarding sessions for new features and updates to ensure clients are fully utilising the platform.
    • Act as the primary point of contact for key accounts, addressing any concerns and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
    • Compile and share reporting using the organization’s reporting software.

    Collaborate with Teams

    • Work closely with sales, marketing, and product teams to align efforts and achieve growth objectives.
    • Share insights and feedback from key accounts with internal teams to inform product development and marketing strategies.
    • Participate in cross-functional meetings and projects to drive continuous improvement and innovation.

    Education and training:

    • Matric/Grade 12
    • Business/Management Diploma preferred
    • Ideally: IT related qualification

    Experience:

    • At least 5 years within a digital sales / subscription sales business.
    • A good understanding of the Auto’s and Property Industry, previous experience beneficial
    • Exposure to technical aspects of the business, including interaction with 3rd party lead generators, advertising platforms, automated feeds, online marketing, and social media.
    • Solid, working knowledge (intermediate to advanced) of MS Office packages.

    • Provide strategic direction and leadership to the HR team, ensuring alignment with the organization's overall goals and objectives.

    • Serve as a trusted advisor and business partner to senior leaders and managers across various business areas within the organization's group function.
    • Provide guidance and support on a range of HR-related matters, including employee relations, performance management, organizational design, and change management.
    • Collaborate with business leaders to identify HR-related challenges and opportunities and develop effective solutions.

    Talent Acquisition and Retention

    • Oversee the organization's recruitment and talent acquisition efforts, ensuring the timely and effective sourcing, selection, and onboarding of top talent.
    • Develop and implement strategies to enhance employee retention, engagement, and satisfaction, including recognition programs, career development initiatives, and employee wellness initiatives.

    Analytics and reporting

    • Continuously analyse key HR indicators and provide data-driven insights for decision-making.
    • Develop and distribute the relevant reports to internal business and HR stakeholders.
    • Lead the analysis of employee feedback and data, with the aim of creating a better working environment and engaged culture.
    • Suggest appropriate innovative measures for improving performance evaluations and employee engagement.

    Compliance and Risk Management

    • Monitor and mitigate HR-related risks, such as employee relations issues, compliance violations, and litigation threats, through proactive measures and effective problem-solving.

    Education, experience, attributes:

    Knowledge, skills and attributes:

    • Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment law, and regulatory compliance.
    • Proven experience leading and developing high-performing HR teams.
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills.
