    Liquor Manager - Makro - Pietermaritzburg

    Summary:

    • To manage the liquor store effectively and efficiently. Ensuring the achievement of sales targets; shrinkage management; staff management and minimizing risk whilst complying with company policy, procedures and legislation

    Functions / Responsibilities:

    • Finance
    • Achieve sales budget by driving promotions, ensure in-stocks, and 100% correct pricing and ticketing
    • Control Expenses – FTE Control
    • Manage shrinkage by ensuring accurate stock count, reduction of damages and stock management
    • Ensure accurate stockholding as per Target – To achieve the 60 days’ forward cover
    • Control of lower selling prices by managing the following: Deals, Markdowns, Job lots, Aged Stock, Damage to stock, Incorrect ticketing, Discounts and Dog lines
    • Customer
    • Customer Service Management
    • Effective execution of the Visible Deals
    • Ensure that no pallet or shelves are lying on sales floor
    • Business Process
    • Ensure accurate receipt of stock
    • Ensure proper markdown and aged stock management

    Requirements:

    Minimum/m Academic, Professional Qualifications & Experience required for this position 

    • Matric
    • Diploma/ Degree in Retail
    • 10 years’ experience in retail
    • 5 years’ managerial experience

    Loss Prevention Lead - Makro - Pietermatitzburg

    Summary:

    • To manage the security components in the business through the identification of risk and to manage all the tore Service Providers.

    FUNCTIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Induction of new employees
    • Ensure Induction is completed within 2 weeks of starting date of officers/ Camera Room Staff and LPO Officers
    • Orientation of new staff
    • Staff development and succession
    • % Achievements for against training and development plans
    • Succession plan in place for individual departments
    • Development plans in place for all individuals

    • %Staff completed functional CBT’s

    Requirements:

    Minimum Academic, Professional Qualifications & Experience required for this position 

    • PSIRA Grade B, Experience in wholesale and retail environment (security experience)
    • 2-3 years’ experience in Security and Loss Prevention
    • Driver’s license a must
    • Previous management experience of managing a team
    • Supervisor experience
    • Previous SAPS services will be considered
    • Investigation experience
    • Psira registered will be advantages
    • If internal have completed the RMP or have a degree in related field
