Responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to the following:  

• Maintain front-end marketing websites/campaigns (Develop, test, debug);  
• Maintain, refactor platform components and templates (Develop, test, debug); 
• Undertake code reviews, adhere to QA processes; 
• Write, update technical documentation; 
• Provide platform support.  

Requirements include: 

• 2+ years experience with HTML5, front-end frameworks (e.g. Bootstrap), responsive/atomic design systems, cross-browser CSS (SCSS)/JS, UX, Accessibility and SEO  
• 2+ years experience with native JS, JS frameworks (e.g. Vue JS, Nunjucks, jQuery), JS testing, JS tooling, REST APIs 
• Experience with revision control (GIT) and multi-developer projects 
• Experience with virtual machines for development (VMs) 
• Experience with server-side template systems (e.g. Template::Toolkit) 
• Strong attention to detail 
• Excellent English communication skills 
• Passionate about learning new languages and technologies

• Infrastructure (DNS), staging environments 
• Database (MySQL) knowledge

• Develop, test, debug and maintain Perl backend code, SQL queries and frontend templates;  
• Develop, update and maintain technical documentation; 
• Provide internal support for system-related questions and issues.

• 2+ years of frontend web development experience 
• Object-Oriented programming knowledge 
• Familiar with modern MVC web frameworks  
• Understanding of testing and continuous integration

Responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to the following:

• Through code reviews and training, help other members of the team to grow; 
• Analyze business and technical requirement and develop solutions, taking into account variable aspects, such as performance, scalability, ease of maintenance; 
• Develop, update and maintain technical documentation; 
• Provide internal support for system-related questions and issues; 
• Participate in R&D of new technology trends and tools. 

Requirements include: 

• 8+ years Perl coding both back-end and front-end systems 
• Excellent modern OO Perl (Moose, Mouse, Moo) 
• Very strong Perl ORM (DBIx::Class) 
• Experienced building systems with modern Perl web frameworks (Mojolicious, Catalyst, Dancer) 
• Experienced with testing (Test::Harness, Test::More, Test::Most) and continuous integration 
• Strong experience with Unix/Linux and shell scripts 
• Strong MySQL & PostgreSQL knowledge 
• Strong experience with Git 
• Write & maintain technical documentation  
• Strong attention to detail 
• Experienced with Apache and Nginx 
• Minimum 10 years professional experience 
• Excellent English communication skills 
• Passionate about learning new languages and technologies 
• Experience writing and deploying code in a DevOps environment 
• Experience with security and PCI compliance

Salary: R690,000.00 per annum
