    Key Account Manager

    The purpose of this position is to focus on Key Accounts Management within Sage, ensuring not only exceptional service to these customers, but also maximise Sage’s market share. Responsible for defining and driving revenue within the Key Account domain.

    Key Responsibilities Key Accountabilities And Decision Ownership

    • Building and maintaining a strategic business relationship with Key accounts Customer.
    • Assist in closing deals and working with VP / Director on the strategic deals.
    • Accurate forecasting weekly within the required set deadlines.
    • Develop and execute the Sage business strategies within the defined accounts and ensure high synergy between local and global strategies and objectives.
    • Keep abreast of current trends, economic conditions and growth opportunities as well as monitor and advise Key Accounts Director of competitive activities within the defined account base.
    • Client relationship management within the defined accounts, as well as within the partner community supporting the account strategy.
    • Knowledge sharing and up skilling of Sage colleagues.
    • Responsible for an allocated Sales quota.

    Skills, Know-how And Experience

    • Skill in building relationships and collaborating across functional areas and with management to ensure objectives are met.
    • Clear understanding of driving results.
    • Proven track record in developing or contributing to short, medium, and long-term plans to achieve strategic objectives, monitoring those plans and adjusting as needed.
    • Continues interaction and relationship building with Business Partners.
    • Able to influence thinking and gain acceptance and negotiate difficult matters to influence policy.
    • Excellent listening, communication and presentation skills with the ability to creatively sell to all decision-making levels.

    Technical / Professional Qualifications

    • Suitable Tertiary qualification required.
    • 7+ years’ experience in a similar role and environment.
