    High School Assistant Principal Academics (Temp) - SPARK Randburg High - 2024

    Purpose of Role:

    • The Assistant Principal drives high scholar achievement, a positive scholar and staff culture, operational efficiency and an engaged school community by providing excellent management, coaching and leadership to school staff. The Assistant Principal is integral to the SPARK Schools culture and our commitment to rigorous, engaging learning experiences for our scholars.

    Responsibilities:

    1. Leadership and Management:

    • Exhibit leadership and responsibility for school progress and outcomes on success indicators.

    High School Learning Support Assistant - SPARK Randburg High - 2024

    Purpose of Role:

    • SPARK High Schools Learning Support Assistants drive student achievement by overseeing the culture and effectiveness of lunch, break, and the aftercare programme.     Responsibilities:

    Primary School PE Coach (IP) - SPARK Silver Lakes - 2024

    Purpose of Role:

    • SPARK Schools PE coaches drive student achievement by overseeing the culture and effectiveness of physical education.

    Primary School Operations Manager - SPARK Kempton Park - 2024

    Purpose of Role:

    • The School Operations Manager drives student achievement in the SPARK Schools network by ensuring that their school operates smoothly, efficiently, and to a consistent standard of excellence.

    Requirements

    Responsibilities:

    • Implement school­ wide systems and procedures (for example, arrivals, dismissals, cover timetables and aftercare timetables) that facilitate student achievement and align with SPARK
    • Schools network ­wide best practice.
    • Facilitate professional development for the operational staff on the implementation of school­wide systems, as well as personal and professional competencies. This includes designing and facilitating biweekly group sessions and individual one-on-one coaching sessions, as well as arranging for individual professional growth opportunities.
    • Oversee the office manager’s administration of the student information system and student records.
    • Ensure aftercare attendance and late pick up is tracked accurately and submitted to billing on time.
    • Organise and maintain relationships with extramural vendors.
    • Line manage school site operational staff (office manager, facilities and maintenance staff, supervisors, and security guard), including regular performance reviews.
    • Manage all school inventory, including fixed assets (technology and furniture), stationery, cleaning supplies, and other resources.
    • Conduct weekly asset check of all Chromebooks for scholars and staff radios.

    Primary Schools English Subject Lead - 2024

    Responsibilities:

    • Support the monitoring, refinement, and implementation of the curriculum and assessment model at SPARK Schools by:
    • Supporting the planning and delivery of pre-service and in-service professional development for school leaders and teachers on curriculum, at least once per term - in person or virtual
    • Clearly and timeously communicating training expectations and academic content updates to school leaders.
    • Visiting schools within the region to support academic implementation and/or conducting virtual check-in meetings with regional subject coaches.
    • Checking and scripting of subject-specific PD plans.
    • Creating and checking assessments and memorandums.
    • Supporting regional subject-specific moderation.

    • Supporting the Curriculum and Assessment Leads with creation and effective implementation of subject-specific curricular resources and exemplar lesson plans.
    • Supporting the Curriculum and Assessment Leads with content building/checking on the internal LMS, itslearning.
    • Supporting the planning and delivering of onboarding of new-to-SPARK teachers.
    • Demonstrate commitment to support regional student achievement through:

    • Experience in supporting/coaching/mentoring members of staff at a SPARK school.
    • Experience in planning and facilitating professional development and adult training.
    • Experience in administration, marking and moderation of assessments.

    Blended Learning Facilitator (Foundation Phase) - SPARK Blue Downs 2024

    Purpose of Role:

    • SPARK Schools blended learning facilitators in the foundation phase drive student achievement by overseeing the culture and effectiveness of the Learning Lab, SPARK’s innovative computer lab. SPARK Schools blended learning facilitators work directly with students in whole class, small group, and individual settings to provide academic interventions in literacy and maths.

    Responsibilities:

    • Create a positive student culture around online learning and small group tutoring and maintain high behavioural expectations for all students.
    • Actively “coach” students on all computer programs and ensure that the educational software used in the lab effectively meets the needs of students.
    • Create and submit lesson plans for tutoring sessions.
    • Tutor small groups of students on literacy and maths skills.
    • Create and submit bi-weekly reports on ST Maths.

    Primary School Maths Teacher (IP) - SPARK Bluedowns - 2024

    Purpose of Role:

    • Plan for and be prepared to deliver lessons to students from 7:45­-3:30 pm (depending on grade level assignment and timetable) daily within content area specialisation.
