    Service Consultant

    ROLE PROFILE

    Provide an effective and efficient conduit between ASI Financial Services (ASI) and its clients (i.e. members and appointed representatives of the organisation) through the provision of advice, query resolution, administrative service, communication, training, and education.

     

    CONSULTING

    • Demonstrate a good understanding of the Employee Benefits (medical scheme, retirement fund, group risk, employee wellness programme, expatriation health benefits etc.) industry and the products available in the market;
    • Conduct in-depth analysis of members’ financial needs and provide appropriate advice, record, save and provide member with a copy of the record of advice;
    • Ensure that members understand the benefits, exclusions, administration processes and procedures of their appointed schemes/funds;
    • Advise members who are leaving their employers (retirement/resignations) of their options (e.g. continuation, transfers, preservations options, tax implications, etc.) and refer them to an authorised financial planner for advice;
    • Consult with members who have a low investment (e.g. Red zone) to encourage them to increase their contributions or change their investment strategy;
    • Conduct onsite member assist sessions and training sessions.

     

    ADMINISTRATION AND QUERY MANAGEMENT

    • Attend to the resolution of members and/or employer queries. You are required to escalate complex queries to your supervisor as soon as possible;
    • Save client communication on an internal drive, keep a record of attendance register for training sessions, on-site session, queries received and option change forms;
    • Prepare meeting packs for trustees/committee, record and distribute meeting notes to all relevant parties;
    • Request necessary data/information from schemes/funds to support projects;
    • Assist with resolution of billing discrepancies, membership compliance audits;
    • Provide the Human Resource and Payroll team of each client in your portfolio with monthly dashboard report/stats of all activities and analysis relevant to your scope of responsibilities.

    • Always adhere to high standards of quality and professionalism (punctuality, formal dress code, professional written and verbal communication etc.);
    • Comply with FAIS code of conduct;
    • Adhere to ASI’s ‘Style Guide’ protocol, ensure that all external communication is peer-reviewed before sending;
    • Treat clients with dignity and respect;
    • Keep work station neat, orderly and tidy;
    • Work collaboratively and efficiently with other team members and provide support where required;
    • Live by the ASI core values

     

    CROSS SELLING

    • Persuade members to buy additional products to maximise their benefits (e.g. Vitality, Gap Cover,etc.)

     

    QUALIFICATIONS, COMPETENCY, AND EXPERIENCE

    • Matric, FIAS Fit & Proper compliant (NQF Level 5, Regulatory Exams) and continuous learning are expected.
    • MS Office proficient and proficiency in English (second language proficiency preferable); drivers license
    • 2-year experience in customer service experience;
    • Excellent communication (verbal & written)

    Consulting Manager

    QUALIFICATIONS, COMPETENCY, AND EXPERIENCE

    • Matric, Fit & Proper compliant (NQF Level 5, Regulatory Exams), Financial Planning Higher Certificate (NQF 6) (preferred), Management Certificate/Diploma/Degree and continuous learning is expected
    • MS Office proficient and proficiency in English (second language proficiency preferable); driver’s licence
    • 5 year experience in Employees Benefits Consulting and 3-year experience in people management
    • Must have own transport
    • Must be flexible to travel

     

    OPERATIONS AND REGIONAL MANAGEMENT

    • Review the service strategies planned for each sale and distribution advisor in your region to ensure compliance with ASI’s standard strategic deliverables, client-specific value proposition, risk mitigation, integration and profitability
    • Ensure sales and revenue targets set are achieved
    • Provide the supervisor with the monthly operations report
    • Review the reports, meeting notes, presentations and projects of your respective advisors
    • Staff leave Management
    • Attend client and provider strategic meetings and influence the objective/outcome of the meeting.
    • Compile strategic reports, presentation, project plans and communication for clients and providers.
    • Technical consulting.
    • Resolve escalated queries, service complaints and disputes.
    • Monitor and manage capacity within your region, staff leave, travel arrangement and approve travel claims
    • Manage a team of Regional Advisors by communicating their roles and responsibilities, help them structure their workflow (i.e. weekly project plan) and monitor consultants that are performing under supervision (compliance) and update their portfolio of evidence.
    • Supervise and support the Advisors in carrying out their duties through weekly workflows and monthly/quarterly performance reviews and.
    • Identify areas where Advisors require support, training, and development.
    • Manage poor performance though appropriate disciplinary process and action.

     

    CLIENT RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT

    • Develop and maintain a strong relationship with key individuals within your region.
    • Conduct monthly CRM calls to all category 1 and two clients.
    • Conduct quarterly meetings with the senior management team within each advisor under your portfolio.
    • Monitor client satisfaction and ensure that the concerns identified are addressed soonest.
    • Respond to poor service ratings within 48 hours.

     

    PROJECT MANAGEMENT

    • There will be special projects allocated to you to oversee and manage. You will be required to design a project plan, present the plan to the team involved, delegate tasks and provide a progress reports to the team.

     

    CROSS SELLING

    • Identify cross-selling opportunities within your regions of clients and create a platform/opportunity for sales
    • Ensure you achieve revenue targets set
