    Sea Logistics Customer Care Specialist

    Your Role

    • Sea Logistics Customer Care Specialist supports customers by providing helpful information, answering questions, and responding to complaints. To provide front-line support for clients and customers and to ensure that customers are satisfied with products, services, and features. To be accountable for maintaining excellent service for our internal and external customers.

    Your Responsibilities

    • Customer Care and Satisfaction: to pro actively advise and consult to ensure customer satisfaction, including complaint management.
    • Shipment Management: Qualification and entry of customer orders into the operational execution process
    • Quotation Management: Qualification of customer inquiries, provide Kuehne-Nagel quotations and updates, set final selling price with individual adjustments within the given price band and in line with the national leeway in decision-making (front-line empowerment). Complete transactional estimates where rates are already in place and provided by the National Pricing Team.
    • Customer On boarding: Inclusion and transfer of customer requirements into the Kuehne-Nagel systems; Accompanying (initial) customer order.
    • Provide relevant information and attend the customer business reviews
    • Customer Data Management: Maintenance and integration of customer data in the Kuehne-Nagel systems including reporting (creating, refining and reviewing reports)
    • Operational Customer Relationship Management: knowledge exchange with the sale; Establishment of an operative customer relationship (sales support)
    • Cost & GP Management: Ensure that the correct supplier contracts are available and work on any cost disputes or under accruals. Ensure that each customer has a rate profile in place and that the correct GP is recognized when closing shipment files.

    Your Skills and Experiences

    •  2-3 years’ experience in Sea Logistics and customer service
    • Matric certificate or relevant equivalent
    • Apprenticeship / Vocational Course (preferred)
    • Other Degree / Diploma - freight forwarding ( preferred)
    • Experience in Sea Logistics and Freight Forwarding (preferred)
    • Good command of the English Language - both written & spoken
    • Good Communication and Conflict resolution skills as so Decision making and Problem-solving skills
    • Analytical & Organizing skills

    Sea Logistics Operational Care Expert Imports

    Your Role

    • Sea Logistics Import Operational Care personnel are part of a team in the Operational Care Centers, responsible for coordinating transport activities by: - Executing the necessary bookings with our partners - Executing the requisite data entry - Generating the required documentation and liaising with our customer care specialists to ensure requirements are met. All of these activities are to be performed in compliance with rules and regulations governing sea transport and associated national protocols. Sea Logistics Import Operational Care may from time to time if trade management does not control this function on a given trade, be responsible for managing the coordination of customer shipments by securing buy rates and capacity with qualified carriers/partners

    Your Responsibilities

    • To coordinate with customer care, haulers and carriers for the import handling of shipments
    • To review and ensure alignment of clearing instructions including to clarify any deviations/conflicts taking country regulations, import compliance and rate and routing information into consideration
    • To ensure profit maximization
    • To immediately report problems, operation disputes or discrepancies to supervisor, manager, divisional manager or branch manager
    • To monitor operational performance of carriers and other vendors and escalate / create awareness if performance and commitments are not being delivered
    • To initiate and resolve any rate discrepancies
    • To work with Sales and Customer Care on account implementation, ensuring a smooth transition from sales to operations 

    Your Skills and Experiences

    • Matric Certificate ( Grade 12) or relevant NQF related qualification is essential
    • have 5 years experience in Sea Logistics, Sea-Log Experience 2-3 years, KN Login Experience
    • Computer Literate (Microsoft Word, Excel, Sea-Log, CIEL KN Login)
    • In-depth Knowledge of sea Logistics Import Processes
    • Strong Analytical and analysis skills
    • Excellent communication and organizational skills
    • Ability to work under pressure & meet deadlines
    • self-motivated and independent, meticulous, attention to detail and self- motivated

    Your Role

    • Sea Logistics Customer Care Teamleader supports customers by providing helpful information, answering questions, and responding to complaints. To provide front-line support for clients and customers and to ensure that customers are satisfied with products, services, and features. To be accountable for maintaining excellent service for our internal and external customers.

    Your Responsibilities

    • Leadership & Management: To provide leadership and direction to the assigned Customer Care Location team
    • Customer Care and Satisfaction: To pro-actively advise and consult to ensure customer satisfaction
    • Shipment Management: Qualification and entry of customer orders into the operational execution process and management of end to end process with regular updates to the customer.
    • Quotation Management: Qualification of customer inquiries, provide KN quotations and updates, set final selling price with individual adjustments within the given price band and in line with the national leeway in decision-making (front-line empowerment)
    • Cost Management: Ensure that the correct supplier contracts are available and work on any cost disputes or under accruals. GP Management: Ensure that each customer has a rate profile in place and that the correct GP is recognized when closing shipment files.

    • You have decision making & problem solving skills
    • You have good skills at time management
    • Persuasive speaking, empathy, adaptability
    • You are able to use positive language and to have clear communication, speak English and Local language
